We lost some circuitry in our house, a 110 circuit. We called him. He was a little high in cost, he was $80/hour but he did a good job. In the end, I think that the quality of the work done was worth it.

john was a great person to talk to.

What impressed me was his honesty about how we could save money but not sacrifice quality. He installed the new tile right over the old tile on the floor, saying it would save us hundreds on removing the old tile, save us in the mess of dust from the saw, and time. He was right! Our new tile looks spectacular. It makes me and my wife want to shower in the "new bath" instead of our master bath. They were on time, did excellent work, were friendly and honest. I trust JP

Mr Petratlito worked for me 3-4 years ago and I was comfortable with him. He is polite, and professional and competent. The sprinkler system still needs tweaking. His rates have increased significantly but still competitive w/licensed plumbers. (I think).

We moved into our house recently and needed more storage space in the garage. We wanted to have storage shelves/cabinets with sliding doors installed. We contacted John for an estimate. He called us back promptly and came out the next day to discuss what we wanted. He called us with an estimate a few days later. We then priced pre-made standalone cabinets and they would have cost more and would not have exactly met our specifications. We decided to use John and a start date was scheduled. They showed up on time every day. Workmanship is excellent and to our specifications. Quality is excellent. Work was finished on time, as promised. Finished cabinets are ABOVE our expectations. Very neat....they cleaned up every day after they finished working. After finishing the custom cabinets they hung two store purchased pre-made cabinets in the laundry room and that job was excellent as well. Very professional, friendly, and personable. We are very happy with the work done and will DEFINITELY hire again.

Mr. Petralito responded to my inquiry promptly and came to the site to review the specifications and provide an estimate of time and cost. After agreeing to the scope of work, Mr. Petralito arrived on time, completed the job within the time estimate and was extremely professional and courteous. All four jobs were completed to my satisfaction, within the time frame and at the cost previously agreed to.

John and Steve arrived on time and jumped right into the job. As I watched them I could tell they knew what they were doing. They did a fantastic job in a minimal amount of time and the charge was more than fair. I was very pleased with the work they did and would and will ask them back when I have something that needs to be done. I highly recommend them. No complaints!

I consider myself fortunate to have contacted John for this job. He is a real pro and operates with complete confidence.Kept me informed of his availability and arrived to work right on time. Job was done to my satisfaction. .

I would absolutely have JP do more work for me in the future.

Had an electrical issue with a GFI outlet that would frequently be tripped. He checked all the outlets and then replaced the GFI. It tripped before he even left the driveway. Not his fault, however, since the issue was intermittant. I ended up troubleshooting it myself and discovered it was the outdoor light fixture that was causing the issue. I replaced the outdoor light fixture and that fixed the problem. Again, not his fault - I didn't know the outside light was on that GFI until after he left. The reason I wouldn't have him again is that I found him somewhat argumentative and he showed up an hour earlier than agreed upon and did not call before coming.

I called John for an estimate on installing a backsplash in my kitchen. John indicated that he was happy to provide an estimate and do the work but he may be more expensive because of location. I did end up using a local company but John went over an above my expectations by continuing to offer his help/answer any questions even though I wasn't using his services. Stellar business practice! If I living in the Ocala area I would absolutely call John for other work.

They took down the old wood and put up new wood (fascia) .The next day they finished putting up the fascia and wrapped the new fascia boards in aluminum. They did and nice clean-up, which was appreciated very much.

Their customer service was fine. The only thing was the person who came down didn't give me a price until the end.

The job went great in the time frame quoted.

Everything went very well. John and Steve are professionals and their work is top quality. I would definitely have them back again to do any work that I needed to have done around my home.

I think they tricked me a little because the tile man they used did a very bad job on my floor and shower. On the tiled floor he did not put enough slope in the floor to let the water drain out so I have to squeegee the water down the drain every morning; the floor lays too flat and the water does not drain to the center where the drain is. That's real aggravating; you would think an experience tile man would know better. I let John know this on the day that he did it so John came over and said there was nothing he could do about it until the end and then when we were all done he supposedly gave me some money off for each day. I don't have any way of proving that he gave me $100 off for 4 days. Then he came back later and said he had another tile man who would come and look at it and fix it at no cost. This tile man was booked up until Christmas but John left me his phone number and told me to call him and he would try to fit me in. I waited about 4 weeks and then I called this tile guy, Mike and he told me using a very short tone in his voice to call him again in 2 weeks because he was too busy. I did not call him back because I could tell he wanted me to leave him alone. So, the problem has never been fixed and I just want to wash my hands of it but I want to let Angie's List know that this happened. I want to modify my earlier report that was given. It seems to me if John was serious about it he would have called to check whether the tile work had been done; when he left here that day I have never heard from him since last September.

He is very prompt, responsive, courteous, and professional. If we could give him an A+ for responsiveness and professionalism we certainly would. He will be our 'go to' man for things that need repaired around the house!

John is very professional and is truly and excellent handy man, he can fix minor plumbing issues, install glass ceremic title, and some much more. He is very deependable and offers an excellent price with excellent service. I will definetly use John in the future for any work that I need around the house.

I called John this morning to see if he could make an appointment to fix a drain problem I had with my kitchen sink. He came out immediately and fixed the problem within 30 minutes of arriving. With so many companies forgetting what "customer service" is all about - John goes above and beyond. I will gladly do business with him the next time I have any problems! Thank you so much John!!

John was professional, prompt, helpful and did quality work in all respects.

When I originally spoke to Mr Petralito, he was very courteous and willing to help the veterans home that I was supporting. He failed to show up when he said he would. When I spoke to him again about a required inspection by the VA, he assured me he would have someone out and get the job done. When I called him about the impending deadline on the inspection he blamed me for not telling him about the inspection, which I clearly did. He could not remember what I asked him to do, and the deadlines involved and was very rude the last time I spoke with him. I will never recommend him nor use him under any circumstances.

I thought John Petralito Handyman Services prices were very reasonable. He's a nice guy. We ran into a couple of situations on setting the toilets that we didn't expect and he got the part and took care of it. I'm very satisfied with him.

Upon arrival and assessing the job to be done, John and his very excellent co-worker (whose name I should remember, but I apologize that I can not recall) got the job done very quickly, and completely cleaned up the work area inside and outside our house. There was no trace that work had been done at all, except for the perfectly balanced and centered new front door. Just beautiful work! We were very pleased with the quality of communication, the professional demeanor, and the speed of the work, but most importantly, we were completely impressed by the perfection of the finished product. We had asked John to give us a quote for painting the vaulted ceiling and walls of our living room, which he very kindly did, but he also told us that we may be able to find a lower bid from a provider closer to Gainesville, as John is based in Ocala. Now, how honest is that? Amazing! My husband and I are still in negotiation with one another about wall color, but when I convince Hubbie that a neutral color would be more livable long term than a bolder color would be, we may call John even if it costs us a little more, because we have no doubt the paint job would be perfectly done, just like our door. We can not speak highly enough of the quality of the job that was done, the price we were charged, or the gentlemen that did the work for us. True craftsmen are hard to find nowadays, but you will find them at John Petralito Handyman Services.
