+ -1 moreStairs and railing needed to be rebuilt. Mr. Petralito came promptly and gave a quote. He purchased all the materials and was again prompt in building the stairs and railing. The screws in the stairs are the wrong screws and they are popped up creating tripping hazard. The end result is not professional looking

Description of Work: replaced 2 garage trims and replaced jamb bottoms with pvc, then caulked the trim.

John is a meticulous detail oriented person. He takes great care in his work. He removed the entrance stairs and finished the opening and it looks great. + 1 moreThe landing on my basement stairs was collapsing, and since I use the stairway multiple times a day to access my backyard, it needed to be repaired as soon as possible. John responded to my concerns in a very timely manner. After examining the stairway, he identified the problem within a few minutes and securely attached the frame of the landing to a concrete header before bolstering the entire stairway with cross braces. The stairway now feels more sturdy than it’s ever been. I was so impressed by John’s strong work ethic, his timeliness in responding to my concerns, his honesty in charging me a fair wage for his work, and his willingness to demonstrate how he intended to fix the problem. I have an older house that’s overdue for several repairs and remodeling projects that are perfect for a good handyman’s skills, and I will definitely call on John again.

I am thankful that he wears many hats and has been able to help me on each occasions --garage door, dishwasher, screen door repair and as mentioned, even in my time of panic, when I lost my diamond down the drain. I trust him in my home, and he gets the job done as stated. He has ALWAYS come through for me. He is professional and respectful. Often when we realize we can't do a home repair ourselves, we dread having to locate someone who can. Given the response time, the jobs/repairs completed and the cost, we can honestly say John Petralito is nothing less than the best.
Description of Work: Repaired garbage disposal, adjusted ice despenser & faucet in bathroom and measured for door that needed to be replaced (the current size was no longer available). On second visit the door in guest bathroom to outside was replaced with a custom fiberglass door with no damage to inside or outside of our home. It was a significant job but he did it start to clean up in under 4 hours.

The next day, he came out ten minutes earlier to take a look at it. He actually found me another toilet. He sold me the toilet as well as fixed it properly. I haven't had any problems with the toilet in the year since he was here.
