Total Deck Care just completed the power-washing of our home --- and did an excellent job! Nolan and Danny arrived at the agreed upon time and immediately started setting up for the job. Nolan and I walked around the house --- I pointed to a few items that I wanted to make sure get taken care of -- and all areas were cleaned perfectly. Both guys were polite, professional, and did a great job cleaning up afterward. Nolan even climbed up to our front palladian window and made it shine. I would highly recommend Total Deck Care to our friends --- and will use them in the future.

We had hired Total Deck Care to stain our porch at our new home in the Spring. The price was very reasonable - about 450 for 2 coat. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We were happy with the job and hired them again in the summer to clean and stain a deck in a house we bought to rent out. We will definitely be using Total Deck Care for our deck maintenance in the future. They are reasonable and did a great job.

I contacted Nick through Angie's List messaging and he got back to me promptly. He gave me a quote for the work we wanted done within a week. Nolan did a good job of power washing the entire house, although we had some staining near the gutters, and remains of bees nests that he was unable to remove. The following week, Nolan and crew came over and stained the decks. They worked quickly and efficiently, and the job was completed in one afternoon. We are very pleased with the results.

We have an L shaped bi-level deck, a 10' X 14' section steps down to a 10' X 24' section. Nick showed up to look at our deck and give us a quote. He explained what was to be done, how long it would take, and when he could do the job. The next day, Nick emailed us a written quote. The price was a bit high but we looked at his reviews, which were excellent, and we decided to go with him. We also checked out the stain he would be using online and as far as we can see, he uses the best. Nick and his co-worker showed up and got to work right away. The stain was absorbed completely into the wood. No puddles to reckon with. They did an outstanding job and finished it in one day. I was surprised especially with all the details they had to cover. The deck looks beautiful and I am out sitting on it every day. Thanks for the great job Nick.

Total Deck Care was great! Nick came by in-person to inspect the deck and provide a quote... and he was very personable and knowledgeable. He told us that his team would start the work about three weeks later (busy summer season). Sure enough, three weeks later, he emailed to say his team would be working on our house in the coming week. Day 1: Two team members came by to strip the old paint and powerwash the deck. Afterward, the deck looked so clean, I almost wished we didn't have to stain it again!! But I knew that the stained version of the deck would be even better, so I waited. They told us that they would let the deck dry overnight and they'd be back the following morning to resume work. Day 2: Three team members came by to do final touch-up sanding on the deck. There were a few areas that were still rough and needed a little TLC. They were down on their hands and knees and up on ladders to get every bit of roughness off the deck... very impressed with how knowledgeable they were about deck care and maintenance. All three of the team members were super friendly and knowledgeable.... and they gave us confidence in knowing the job would be done right. Overall, we give Total Deck Care an A+ rating. We're so thrilled with how our deck came out... and we've been using our deck pretty much every day (except during the rain) to enjoy the outdoors! We were talking about why we hadn't used our deck in the past year or so, and we agreed it was because our deck had so much peeling paint and we were embarrassed by how it looked. Well, that's no longer the case... our deck is probably one of the nicest decks on the block and we're thrilled to be sitting out there and enjoying the late summer weather! Our neighbors have even complimented us on our deck, and have asked who did the work... we'll be recommending Total Deck Care to everyone! Thanks to Nick and his team for a great job!

Nick and his guys were professional and very responce. My emails were returned within 24 hr and most of the time within 12 hr. The deck is old and we had used a poor quality stain two years ago which created more work for the guys, lots of sanding. The work looks good and they were careful of the landscaping under the deck. All in all a great job and experience dealing with this company.

Marc was extremely helpful in thinking through all our decking options. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. His price was also competitive. The only reason we did not use him was due to lead time, as we needed to get our deck in very quickly.

Simply put - P E R F E C T ! ! If you were to pull out the phone book to search for maintenance folks you would come up with an unbelievable amount. Your thought is that you're hopeful out of all of these you pick the right crew. Ladies and gentleman let me save you a lot of time (and aggravation) - Nick and his crew are it. They operate with integrity and heart in their work. This is the crew you would be comfortable sending to your Senior Mom/Dad's house to get the job done with complete trust. I've had to go through m-a-n-y different people and sometimes wasted $$ until this year. Give him a call! Remember this after his work is done -- you'll find yourself saying within hours this one particular word with authority, "finally..." Hopefully this nugget of information will save you hours of searching and $$$. .

The owner, Nick, visited personally to inspect the property and work up the estimate. He was very polite, friendly, and professional, and very knowledgeable about his craft. (He told me his family has, or had, had been in the paint business for years.) He did say it might be difficult to find the stain I had previously used on the deck, and preferred to use again; however, his crew did show up with the exact same brand and color of stain. The crew foreman, Nolan, was also very friendly and polite. The crew showed up early one morning and did all the power-washing, then were there early the next morning to do all the prep, sanding, and staining. Not once did I look out and see anybody taking a smoke or water break. Every time I glanced outside, all three men were working diligently. In fact, at one point I stepped outside while they were staining and tried to engage in small talk. The two guys working with Nolan looked up from their work and nodded politely, but I could tell they wanted me to leave them alone so they could continue working. After they had finished, cleaned up, and packed up, Nolan mentioned that they had put a single coat of stain on all surfaces. I pointed out that the contract provided for two coats on the deck, and the upper surfaces of the railings. Uncomplaining, the crew once again unpacked all their gear, and applied the second coat. I went out to do a couple of errands, and when I returned, they had finished the additional work, packed up, and left my property looking like they had never been there, with the exception of a beautifully clean and newly-stained deck area. Three days after they had first showed up, we were using the deck again. I have several other painting/staining projects upcoming, and Nick will be the first person I call for an estimate.

It was fine. They were courteous and on time. They were within budget. They were really good.

It was great up until near the end and then when we get done with the prices somethings were a lot higher than when they first quoted. I will never use them again. The work quality was great. It's just that it seemed like they wanted to get done real quick at the end and there were some things I had to call them and remind them they didn't paint. The quality was good when they started, everything was fine except near the end and the price went up and the quality of the work or attention was not there at the end.

My experience with TDC from start to finish was awesome. I found them on Angie's list and contacted Nick who was great. He came out for an estimate and he was very knowledgeable. I knew right away I wanted to work with TDC. The quote was fair and I immediately had complete confidence the job would be great. I asked Nick if there was any chance he could perform the job sooner than later as we were having a party at the house in a couple weeks and he had a crew there the next day! Both crews were great. The guys were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and hard working. They took the time to go over everything and the job was flawless. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. It is hard nowadays to get good service. I have had quite a few not so great experiences as a consumer and this was the complete opposite! I will be working with this company again!

Nick came to my house and gave us free quotes for the jobs. He is very professional and answer all the questions very clearly. His guys showed up at the early morning and did great jobs for us. We will hire them again for all the paintings jobs (outside or inside).

The two workers put in 12 hour days and completed the job ahead of schedule. Did not leave a mess. Excellent quality.

They are just great! They are professional and go over and above. For example, on my deck there are some flower boxes. They dug out all of the plants and dirt when they started stripping the deck, as they did not want to hurt my flowers. I was amazed that they even put them back, just as they were.
