The tech they sent knew his stuff and troubleshot the problem quickly.

Everything went well. They arrived on time, came in under estimate, and did a great job with the installation. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were responsive to my initial calls for an estimate, charged a moderately competitive rate, and they did a good job with installation. However, it took them nearly three weeks to follow up with me and actually perform the work which was frustrating.

They did a great job. They came out when they said they would and they did the work they said they were going to do for the amount that they promised. There were no hidden charges or fees. The gentleman who actually did the work was polite, professional, and had some helpful suggestions for which there was no extra charge. He cleaned up when he was done and overall I would be happy to hire Paradigm Plumbing again. He actually went above and beyond to help me slide the new tub into place. He didn't have to do that because that wasn't why I hired him, but he helped me do it anyway. They were great and people should definitely check them out. They are quite a knowledgeable and reputable organization. I would even say that they're probably price competitive although that's hard to get with plumbers in my area. The guy rolled up on the dot which was amazing.

This company will bill you for hours that they did not work. They also, by default, send a deceptive invoice lacking any detail. I can only conclude that this business practice is designed to deceive the customer and is highly unethical. This has happened two times to me out of five times they performed work at my house. The last time they did this, the technician arrived at my house and repaired my heating system in about 1 hour. My wife noticed that the guy was sitting in his truck on the street over an hour later when she went to walk the dog. When I got the bill, it just had a lump sum total without a breakdown for parts and labor. After several phone calls to get an appropriate invoice, I finally got the invoice which showed 2.5 hours of labor. Of course, I complained and the owner called to say they had GPS on their trucks. He did refund 1 hour of labor which wasn't really enough as the technician was there for only 1 hour. The GPS doesn't really work effectively as the guy sat in the truck near my property for an hour and a half. Watch out for the hours that this company bills you!

I called at 5 a.m. and left a message. I got a call back with 10 minutes from the vice president of the company and he said he'd have a receptionist call me at 7:30 to schedule an appointment. They showed up right on time. They fixed the problem and even cleaned up after themselves. They also even sent me a thank you card in the mail afterward.

Water heater began leaking the week of February 11th 2013. It was not a constant or severe leak but it did get progressively worse during the course of the next ten days or so. I called Paradigm Plumbing & Heating on Monday, February 18th. They were prepared to install a new water heater the very next day, however,I requested they wait until Thursday the 21st which would be my next day off. I received a call from the office when the technician was on his way, as well as, a call from the technician himself. When he arrived he covered the entire entryway and living room floors with plastic and dropcloths and helped me move a few pieces of furniture out of harm's way. When the work was completed he cleaned up the work area and removed the protective floor coverings. The entire process took approximately 3 1/2 hrs and everything went very smoothly. Should the need arise, I would not hesitate to call Paradigm in the future.

Fine...plumber was great, kept me informed of what he was doing and why, no problems since. The company put me on their mailing list after this call, which I appreciate since they do a lot of news and marketing, and show great customer appreciation. I just thought they were a little pricey for the repair I had done.

Update: The owner Steve called us after seeing this review, apologized and offered to refund the $640 bill. He subsequently sent us a check. We do appreciate Steve's effort to correct this error, but also believe his firm should be paid for the services rendered. We sent him back a check for the reasonable part of the bill. I upgraded my review on professionalism to a "B" because of this second reponse. Admittedly, it would have been an "A" if Steve responded like this the first time we talked. I upgraded the "Price" to a "C" because we ended up paying a reasonable amount for the service. It would have been a "A" if we got this price the first time. Having said all of this, it Steve's passion for customer service and his willingness to go above an beyond is impressive.... and a great quality. Original Story: We chose Paradigm because of their good Angie's list rating, and their close proximity to our house. We called to have our oil burner cleaned. The technican arrived to clean the furnace at 3:00pm, and then at 5:00pm told us that the 1) our furnace relay was broken and 2) we need a safety shut off valve onour water heater and that he couldn?t turn it back on until the valve was installed. While we are grateful that the technican spotted the need for a safety value, we did not appreciate being told that he turned off our water heater and would not turn it back on until it was fixed, especially when he said he couldn't fix it that day and it was the coldest day of the year! He told me that I could reconnect it, but I declined given that I am not skilled to do this work. The technician ultimately ?got permission? from his office to turn the water heater back on ? but we resented the unpleasant conversation we had to have to convince him to do this. The irony is that this water heater hasn't given us a day's trouble in 20 years, and we never asked Paradigm to touch it. We were stunned by the $640 bill: Hours: We were charged for 4 hours. The tech arrived at 3 and left at 6:45 (3 ¾ hours). The tech said he took off 45 minutes for all the talking and escalation about the water heater, which should mean that the bill should be changed to 3 hours. We later learned from the owner, that the extra hour was for travel to and from our home (which is only 4 miles away). Relay Part: On the web, I found the exact relay (same brand/part#) selling for a range from $150-180. We were charged $288 for this part. While we would anticipate some markup, this seems extreme. . "Dispatch Fee": We were charged $70.00 for a "dispatch fee". When we are paying for both travel time, service and parts, we don't feel that we need to pay $70 for a 3 minute phone call to get the service scheduled. The oil burner was cleaned, and we believe the tech was skilled We did wonder about the relay breaking during the cleaning, but we believe this tech was honest .... so I think it really was a coincidence. We followed up with the owner to discuss the charges. He agreed to a $70 credit, but we won't get the value from that because we've determined we do not want to do business with Paradagain.

Justin was our first contact and he was professional. He and his helper were efficient and answered all our questions. He listened and did what we wanted to have done. We will definitely have them do more work. Can't say enough about how comfortable and pleased we are with the work that was done in our home. Thank you!

It took me a day to get a return call from Paradigm to schedule the initial estimate because they are so busy but don't be deterred since it is really worth having them do the work and I am so happy that I was patient. Gary came to give an estimate on the work I wanted done and took a look at our plumbing in general to give an assessment and he pointed out the area of rotting cast iron drain in the basement in addition to a number of issues that I will need to address in the future. He wasn't pushy at all about the problems he identified which would need to be remedied. Gary was very informative and made me feel comfortable even when I asked silly questions. Now I must say that Paradigm is busier than a one armed paper hanger and my appointment time for my estimate had to be changed to later in the same day since Gary was finishing another job. Not a problem since I want a plumber to finish my job before moving on. We scheduled a date for the repairs and Gary showed up spending most of the day and did all the repairs except for the gas meter. Since time was running short we rescheduled the gas meter removal for a few days away since Gary didn't want to have the gas shut off and no heat to the house at the end of the day in case repairs took longer or he needed additional parts. Gary came back and did the gas meter work in a cramped area behind a very large Air Duct. and he also discounted the bill for the work by almost $100 since it didn't take as long as he had estimated. When does that happen? Gary was a diligent worker and we have an old house and I know the scope of repairs he did exceeded what I was billed, so I definitely got more than I paid for. Gary also cleaned up after the repairs. It's really nice when someone goes above and beyond and I will definitely use Paradigm again and request Gary. Having Paradigm do the work was a fantastic experience like Christmas in November.

This is te most recent of many services I have used Paradigm for in past several years, from trouble shooting heating problems to new furnace installation. They have always been responsive and professional.

I called Paradigm after normal business hours and one of the owners answered. He gave me a rough idea of the situation, had me send him photos so he could better estimate replacement cost, then gave me a quote and scheduled a guy to come out the next day. Replacement service was punctual, prompt and professional.

Tony had done our project estimate so this was his second visit. He listened to our needs, was professional and punctual.Our prior experience with Paradigm amount to two other jobs -- a water heater installation and installing some outdoor shuttlecock.The head of the company is very customer-oriented and they always are professional and customer oriented

He was very polite and knowledagle, I would inform and ask them back for anything. I have asked ot be placed on there heating program. I am very pleased with the service.

I was happy with what they did. The owner is a philanthropist too. He helps the community, and he donates money. They showed up about 5 minutes earlier than the time they give me. The guy came in, and did a nice job. He kept it clean. I'll be using them more in the future. I was very happy with them.

Paradigm did a great job. I had a phone call this morning at 7:45AM from the office and a plumber (Tony) was at my house about an hour later (we're about 45 minutes from the office). The nature of our problem was far great than anticipated due to poor work by the previous owner of our home. Tony was very up front about it and said that anything he could do to get our second bathroom up and running would just be a temp fix. He capped off the impacted pipes, cleaned up and was on his way. Paradigm are preparing a quote for us to fix the plumbing issues - it isn't going to be a quick fix :(

It went well from the minute the man show up until he left. he was very professional and friendly, made me want to call them again if I needed them.

I spent about a month gathering quotes from about 8 or 9 plumbers, most of the quotes I received where just a boiler name and a high price nothing more. I sat through a few long winded high pressure sales pitches which usually began with the plumbers going through the entire house measuring for square feet then the 2 hour long pitch why they consider themselves the best because they do that and no one else does, not much about the boiler though. I had others that where in and out in under 60 seconds followed by, I'll e-mail the quote. I have no regrets as I learned a lot and I followed up on all the systems I was quoted with my own on-line research which is always a smart idea. I found a lot of companies try to push product that have a greater mark-up value just because of mark-up and not for the quality. always do your homework. With Paradigm, dealing with the owner Steve Labbe was pretty easy, no pitch no gimmicks, I felt right off the bat that this guy is a bit different compared to what I was dealing with. Steve listened to what I wanted and with that came up with a few different options, his pricing was very fair about $2000 less then what I had been quoted by the other guys. Researching Paradigm on-line was pretty easy, they where an A rating on the BBB with no complaints and most all of the reviews left by past customers where highly positive and there are a lot to read especially on service-magic.com. After Paradigm installed my system I was glad I had made the right call and chose a quality company. The system was a work of art in my eyes and compared to my old boiler. The where very clean no burn marks, clean solder lines, everything was clean and level, could not have been more happy, the inspector even made a positive comment about the cleanliness of the job. These guys did a great job and I would highly recommend considering them.

Our heating system failed just before Christmas. They could of really stuck it to us but they gave us an option - wait until after the holiday and the cost would be about $100 less. They provided space heaters for us until then and did a great job. We've also used them for plumbing and they've always come in w/in budget. I've had other companies in the past come in, find a problem and then increase the cost to fix the problem .They are extremely fair and provide great service.
