Description of Work: Terry Grube did a very thorough home inspection and found issues that I would have missed. For an additional $225 (on top of the $350 inspection fee) I had the water tested for all sorts of contaminants, and, luckily, none were found. He arrived early, inspected the outer perimeter of the building despite the fact that it was pouring rain, and carefully inspected the interior afterwards. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone in the Southern Main/New Hampshire area looking for a qualified home inspector.

Description of Work: Seacoast Inspections did a home inspection for us of a vacation home we are buying in Shapleigh, ME. They arrived even before the scheduled time, got to work right away, explained everything they were doing to my husband in detail, and gave a very thorough and informative follow-up report which includes his contact details in case you have any further questions or needs in the future. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone who need a good inspector.

Description of Work: they did a pre-sale inspection of my house to see what might need to be fixed before putting it on the market. It went great. They were very prompt, professional and thorough. They created a great 3-ring binder for the report with colored photos and a checklist of what passed and what needed to be fixed.

Description of Work: contacted Terry to have a home inspection done on a home we are considering. He responded to my enailed inquiry quickly. unfortunately Terry did not usually cover Vermont, but he was willing to do so, but the travel costs precluded this. He was honest and quick with responding to my emails, i would have liked to have done business with him, would recommend him to folks in Mass or NH.

+ -1 moreHe came well prepared and with plenty of equipment to do the house inspection. Rather than have us follow him around, he worked alone, going through the house inside and outside. He took photos of everything. His report was very detailed with photos of any problem areas and even included websites to get more information on the issues. Very meticulous and detailed - I feel like we know everything we need to know about our new home.

+ -1 moreSeacoast Inspections was on time, professional and flexible as well. We had to re-schedule our original date and Seacoast was very accomodating. The inspector, Terry was VERY knowledgeable and informative. As this is an important part of the home buying process I listened closely to his advice and observations so as to not miss anything. When we recieved the report it contained all of the recommendations mentioned at the property. It had many pictures with clear explainations and a easy to understand ratings system to support or diffuse problems noted at the property. Anything that was mentioned at the property but not included in the report was easily recalled from reviewing the report. The use of the thermal imager was an added bonus, as it provided another level of detecting possible issues. Overall this company provided a very good service at a good price.
