Terry was absolutely perfect for the job. He was very thorough and explained everything to us in layman's terms. He was able to give us plenty of information about things to look for in old homes and had us follow him around during the inspection to point things out to us. By the time he left, we had all of the information we needed. Less than 48 hours later, we had a comprehensive inspection report sitting in our inbox. I would recommend him to anybody who is looking to know all there is to know about a house.

Terry arrived earlier than he stated and had most of the outside inspected when we arrived. He was very through, answered all our questions and provided a very detailed report. This report will not only help us in negotiations with the seller but as a reference for items we need to keep an eye on in the future. He also went above and beyond explaining how things worked and if we should DYI or hire pros. I highly recommend his services. One pitfall though, I now want a thermal imagery unit of my own!!

Wow...what a professional. My spouse and I searched many reviews before hiring a Home Inspector. I am very pleased that we did not just use one that was recommended by our Realtor.....I am just never sure we are getting the whole picture instead of just enough to be sure the deal goes through! Hiring Terry independently was a great move. Our property was quite a distance from where Terry is based out of, but he came up to our area just the same. His evaluation was professional, though and complete. I am a Property Claims Adjuster myself and have written thousands of estimates of damaged property and I feel that Terry was outstanding and he managed to teach me a few things too. Very nice to work with during the inspection, great tips, thorough. only thing that was not good, was the format of the inspection report delivered. it was very hard to follow/read, with a lot of redundant info, and odd organization to the items. the report was very frustrating to read and try to inventory and categorize lists of issues to bring to buyer as part of the related negotiation.

He was excellent. He even helped me measure floors for my flooring project!

Terry was great! He was early (huge plus for me). The home was new so we were not expecting any major problems but we wanted to be sure anyways. He went over a lot of things to consider in the next few years as the house settles and starts to age. He was very thorough and answered the many questions we had. Even with the few minor things we found it was worth the $ to have the those things fixed before we moved in. The report was also great and will be a good reference when we forget all the things he told us!

this is the second home inspection we had terry perform in less than 4 weeks, his inspection provided us the info we needed to make an informed decision on a home that we were about to purchase, which would have been a big mistake. he is excellent, through, informative, educational. cannot say enough about his professional approach.

Terry performed a very thorough inspection fully explaining each aspect of the inspection as he went along. Terry was very open to answering any questions I had and gave insightful comments on how to resolve any defects he uncovered. Terry completed the inspection on a Friday morning and we had the detailed report, with photos, by Saturday evening. I was very satisfied with the inspection Terry completed and would highly recommend him to others seeking a qualified home inspector.

Terry performed an inspection for a multi-family we are purchasing. He was on time (he got there early actually) and very thorough in the inspection. He pointed out potential defects and was able to guide me in which ones may need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Additionally he had a thermal imaging device which confirmed the presence of insulation, as well as a humidity meter to test if the walls were moist due to leaks.

The house's main structures he provided a detailed inspection of were: Front and rear decks Roof Wood stove and chimney Interior/exterior structure Appliances and their installation Heating system Windows and Doors In addition, he used a thermal imager to inspect the various heating and piping systems. After living in the house for nearly a year, I'm happy to say all of his review points were accurate and no surprises were found. Overall a perfect result.

We were extremely satisfied from start to finish with our home inspection. Terry Grube came recommended to us through a friend in the real estate business. He was able to fit us in, showed up on time (actually early, before we got there), charged a reasonable price, was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and professional, friendly, and timely with our report. We did not in any way feel rushed through the process. Terry responded to all our questions in addition to pointing out different things about the house. We would use his services again.

It was great. Terry helped make me feel confident about my upcoming purchase. More importantly, he provided on the spot assessment of each house component. He continually made me feel like my questions were important, and he answered them thoroughly. He took pictures for his reference for later reporting. I anticipate a thorough summary. The 91 page inspection is great. It contains his observations, assessments and recommendations for each category and each item. Some of the recommendations are NOW, some are on an annual basis, etc. Included are pictures of the home he inspected and diagrams of and quot;normaland quot;. I will use this as a start of my home-owner's manual.

Terry was a phenomenal home inspector. As this was our first time purchasing a home we didn't really have an idea on what to expect. He was waiting for us when we pulled up. Terry took me around every nook and cranny of the house explaining everything as he went. We spent over 3 hours going through the house. Our realtor was extremely impressed with his thoroughness. His final report for us was invaluable and over 100 pages! The report enabled us to prioritize things for us to fix but also to justify things for the seller to fix before closing. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Terry is a great inspector! We just had him for our home inspection last week! He is very knowledgeable and very professional.He checked everywhere and explained very clearly about the problems. We learned a lot from him. The day after the inspection, he gave us a report which is so detailed with pictures, problem observation and analysis and suggestions. That was so helpful! Compared to the inspector we used last time, he is so much better! As first time home buyers, we are really happy with Terry. He is a person that you can trust! I highly recommend Terry !

Very thorough and professional

Our experience with Seacoast Inspections was outstanding. Terry was able to answer every question we had, most of them off the top of his head. In the cases where slightly more research was needed, Terry was able to quickly find an answer and provide an educated response as well as provide additional resources and references. Having the added benefit of thermal imaging was great as we were able to identify areas where insulation was not properly blown in, and therefore may require future work. My only complaint is a very, very minor one - the report was a few hours later than normal due to some software update issues in the report generation tool. Terry was very upfront about this and still was able to deliver the report in a reasonable time frame despite the technology hiccup. The inspection cost was slightly lower than I anticipated and lead to some initial concern that it may be a discount service. After meeting Terry though, it was clear that he's just a hard working, knowledgeable inspector who charges a fair rate to his customers. At the end of the day, I'd recommend Seacoast Inspections to anyone in the Seacoast and North Shore areas - Terry provides an OUTSTANDING service.

From start to finish I was impressed and pleased by the knowledge, thoroughness, and professionalism Terry displayed! I have been in the construction field for decades and I saw that Terry and quot;knew his stuffand quot; before we even entered the house because of what he pointed out on the roof gables and drainage landscape. It got better from there, he methodically and meticulously spent more than two hours going through the rest of the (small) house, explaining what he was looking for and if he found anything worth noting. I was with others and he never talked down to anyone, never got impatient answering questions or explaining. He asked questions about the history of the house that prompted the realtor to discover some very valuable repair information! His report included everything discussed as well as photos with tags pointing out potential or existing problems. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Terry arrived right on time and started with the outside of the house. He then continued to the inside. He was very thorough and answered all the questions that we had and gave us suggestions on how to repair or update specific items. His report was over 75 pages and was very detailed with pictures and diagrams. He got the report back to us within 48 hours. Highly recommended!

Overall A+ experience from start to finish. Terry replied to my email and voicemail promptly as well as explained the scope of his work. On the day of inspection, I arrived 15 minutes early and found Terry was already busy working; inspecting and talking pictures of the outside structure and front yard. After a few minutes of observing him, I felt very good and confident that I picked the right person for the job. This was the guy who really knew what he’s doing and paid attention to all the details. As a female who didn’t know anything about home maintenance and improvements, Terry explained everything to me patiently and answered all my questions. He pointed me to issues that needed to be addressed soon and things that I needed to keep an eye out as well as some basic maintenance. The property had a finished basement and I’m glad that Terry had an infrared sensor to check for heat loss and moisture; those issues might not be visible because the basement wall was finished/painted. I chose Radstar Radon Monitor to eliminate the wait. Both home inspection and radon result were delivered promptly via email. I’m very satisfied and highly recommend Seacoast Inspection.

Fantastic work. Terry is extermely professional, prompt and knowledgable. He was able to perform the imaging within 3 days of our request and got the results back to us within one day. He took the time to ask many questions and understand how the home was insulated initially so that he could evaluate the probably areas of heat loss. Everything was very detailed and the recommendations are easy to understand and act upon.
