From start to finish, not punctual or professional. Salesperson was a half-hour late for first appointment, and we had to track them down to make sure he were still coming. After the initial contact, he was hard to track down and did not give direct answers to questions we had. We thought the scheduling of the job would be done ahead of time. It was not. They called last minute and wanted to send a crew out the same day. We weren't available and had to reschedule for the following day. The crew was supposed to show up at 10 o'clock, but they were a half hour late. Per the contract, the painters were supposed to remove outlet covers, patch holes, repair cracks in walls, sand walls, and apply two coats of paints. We were told this job would take a day, but they were finished in a little over three hours, leading us to believe they didn't do two coats. Because the paint was still wet, we were unable to do a thorough inspection before the paint crew left. However, the foreman told us if we had any issues to call him directly first, before the company, and he would take care of it. After the paint had dried, and we were able to do a thorough inspection of the completed work, we found a whole section not painted, holes and cracks that were not patched, areas of the wall that were not sanded, outlet covers that had been painted over, and paint splatters and runs on our wood panels and trim. We called the foreman and scheduled a time for him to come back out to correct the issues. He did show up, but he was an hour and fifteen minutes late. Again, no call, we had to track him down to make sure he was coming. Once he arrived, some of the issues were corrected, but the quality was poor and the job was rushed again. We assumed that the poor quality was this companies standard, and at this point were tired of dealing with the company and chalked it up to a poor decision in choosing this company for the job. Then, as we were cleaning the room and moving the furniture back into place, we found numerous paint drips on the carpet. Before we spoke to the company's quality assurance department ( who had called us to ask about our experience) or filled out a negative review here on Angie's List, we called the company first to give them the opportunity to fix our issues. We spoke to a manager who told us they would come out that day and inspect the problems and work with us to get a remedy to the situation. They never showed up or called back. We have been more than fair and have given the company and crew numerous opportunities to make good on the work. Now we are left in a position were we are going to have to spend even more time and money to prep and repaint the room, and replace the paint stained carpet. Based on our experience, I certainly would not recommend that anyone use this company.

Overall, it went well. I contracted in mid-spring and the job was completed in August in one day. It seems OK. The time it took to do the job is surprising and seems to be well-done, but time will tell.

The only glitch, and it was extremely minor, was the crew showed up late the first day because they had the wrong address. However, they called to ask for directions and were there shortly thereafter. The quality of the job was superb. They also coordinated their schedule with the carpet installation and followed up with touch up to take care of some of the scuffs resulting from the carpet installation. There is considerable risk in contracting with someone from afar...Scott made me feel comfortable from the start and did a fantastic job.

Scott Mitchell is a true professional. He responded quickly, gave me a fair quote and had a crew out immediately. Dalin and his team were personable, respectful, professional, experienced and timely. Dalin met and exceeded my expectations. I recommend them highly and would use their services again without question.

They did an excellent job on the painting and I would use them again. Price was in line with what we had paid previously. Only glitch was that the communication could have been better.

A crew of two, Samuel and Ray, came to power wash the siding on a Monday. They returned on a Thursday, allowing for the siding to dry out after the power washing and a day of rain. As the majority of the painting was done by sprayer, all windows, doors, light fixtures and landscaping were well covered for protection. All the painting was completed in one day. The painters did an excellent job. Everything was meticulously taken care of. Samuel and Ray were very personable, courteous and professional.

Bob R did a superior job. Extremely professional in work done. Job looks great!! Porch looks brand new (for a 60 year old porch).

Original quote in fall 2014 but cool weather prevented them from doing the work. When I called in May they scheduled me the same week. Bob was on time, polite, worked very neatly and completed work in a timely manner! Thank you!

Very professional . Team was on time and very neat, picking up the site every night. We are getting constant positive feedback about the paint job. Nice job power washing and getting the house prepped. The trim came out well and the attention to detail was excellent. The way they could make the old section marry with the new garage was impressive. Price was as promised. Highly recommend this company.

Soon after I made initial contact for an estimate, Fergus came by and provided a very detailed estimate for the necessary work. At my request, he broke a number of items out as options - such as staining the porch. He was very informative and knowledgeable. The crew started work a couple of weeks after I accepted the proposal. Darlan and his guys (4-5 guys most of the time) worked on the project for about five full days. Darlan was a pleasure to work with. He kept me up to date at all times regarding what they were doing, what was next, and when they would be here. The entire crew was friendly and informative. They are a skilled group of guys who produced a high quality result.

The work was done well! The workers were careful and very courteous.

Because it was peak season for outdoor painting, I think my job got put on the back burner but they eventually scheduled me in. The painters were very professional and polite. They kept the area clean and maintained. Answered any questions I had.

Contractor was well organized, did a good job on preparation and carpentry repair work. Used a good base coat. Finished coat. Labor excellent. Materials OK. Foreman Kevin managed work progress and crew productively well. Carpenter Frank is an experienced carpenter and has good ideas. Veronica (painter) was very careful and quality painter.

Estimator was very professional, explained standards. Painted crew (2-3) did excellent job of covering all areas. Reminders were required to insure all work was done without errors. Communication was difficult with office and owner when there were questions. Cleanup of overspray of stain on windows and doors was left undone until we called and insisted it be done to our satisfaction. While the lead painted was very good and eager to please, a slight language problem was problematic, eventually we were very pleased and cleanup was well done.

Scott was very thorough and professional when he came to check out our house. He provided an estimate in a very timely manner and we felt it seemed fair. We went with him / CertPro because, after talking to several other painters, he was spot-on in his eye for detail and industry knowledge. We had no set date, but knew it would probably be September. We were contacted to alert us that folks were coming to pressure wash the house on the Tuesday after Labor Day. No one could be home on that date, but it worked out well (although our very protective dog may have a different outlook on things). We weren't sure when the next phase of prep work would happen, so expected notification on that as well. I was taken by surprise when a crew showed up two days later and I was totally unprepared. But, the surprise factor dissipated pretty quickly as I saw everyone dive in and get to work immediately. There was a LOT of scraping and sanding to be done. Roberto's crew was great. Very professional, very polite, and understanding of the fact that we both had to consider our jobs as well. They did a great job with everything. They were consistent, hard workers through a variety of weather conditions: very hot and humid to quite damp, chilly temps. There were a couple communication snafus, but a call or email to Scott or Jill usually took care of matters. We've passed along our suggestions for possibly helping such a situation. Note: If you're having any carpentry done as part of your contract, take the time to walk with the foreman and his right-hand man/woman to ensure all is understood. Don't assume they understand all the small details in the contract. Nothing against them. Just be very clear and no one will be unexpectedly surprised when it's a little late in the game. We would suggest that with any work you're having done on your house. My husband took a couple half days off to be at home while work was going on and got to know the crew. On the last day, they went around to ensure the detail work was just right, so the house would look its best. In the end, the house looks bloody maaaahhhhvelous! As a side note, folks, please do the right thing. Provide the crew with waters, sodas, Gatorade, etc. in an ice-filled cooler. Throw in energy bars, fruit, candy bars, etc., if you can. Access to a bathroom is essential, too. It's the right thing to do, but maybe folks don't think about it. It makes the crew's life a bit easier, which, in the end, will benefit everyone.

They did a great job. I got some other quotes and I thought their price was reasonable. They were neat and professional. They showed up when they were supposed to show up. It was all the things I look for when someone is working in my home. The painting was very good.

The paint job performed at my house was the worst paint job I have ever seen and I would not wish my experience with this company on my worst enemy. Long story short, when the job was "complete", there were area's left unpainted on the walls, on the baseboards, and on the trim, areas in the kitchen and bedroom that were not supposed to be painted that got half painted, there was trim paint on the wall's of rooms that were not being painted, window trim shelves (in the contract) that were not painted, cracks/holes that were not filled (both walls and trim, in the contract), ceiling beams with area's unpainted, only one side of a new door was painted (told I did not pay enough to have both sides painted), wall paint on the ceiling, closet doors left unpainted, area's behind the radiators where the wall and baseboards were left unpainted, and paint on my couch, chair, velvet bench, several rugs, in the cracks of my hard wood floors (looked like paint was spilled and rubbed around in a big circle) not to mention other smaller areas. I discussed all of the problems with Scott and he convinced me to let a new team come to my house and fix the horrible paint job. Scott agreed that this was a poor job and that his team was just having a bad week. A second crew was sent out and what Scott assessed would take 1 day to fix actually took almost a week. The new team had to basically undo what was done and complete the original job with additional area's due to damage from the first team. The second crew did a great job fixing the paint job. What has not been fixed is the damage to my property that occurred during this process. Scott is aware of the situation and my frustrations both with the damages and the time this whole process has already taken. Scott offered resolution for my time and inconvenience in exchange for me to sign a release/waiver but I did not accept as the offer did not even cover cleaning/repair of the furniture, rugs, floors, etc... I explained that I hired a professional painting crew to have a professional job done. He was sure to let me know that his commitment to me was to deliver a satisfactory paint job and that the resolution he was offering me was more than what any other painting company would offer. So, in the end, I paid a professional fee for a commitment of a satisfactory job and did not even get that. I will never recommend this company to anyone and if someone is in the market for painters, I will be sure to share my experience with them and also share the name and number of the team that came and fixed the paint job.

I decide to go with another contractor. The only reason I went with the other contractor was because he is a cousin to my brother in law. The estimates were pretty much the same, the quality of paint was the same. I would have gone with CertaPro if I had not been referred to the other contractor.

Scott was very efficient and helpful in dealing with our concerns about missed spots and areas not done to our expectation.

These will be my painters from now on. I am a somewhat picky DIY type of person, and I had a negative experience years ago when hiring painters. This was different. From the start, the communication from Scott was great. He showed up promptly, walked/discussed the job, and produced a detailed quote with options reflecting key choices within days of the first call at the busiest time of year. He is a former paint company worker so he was very knowledgeable about the products and clearly treated painting as a profession. The quote was reasonable for the work to be done and they started within days. It's a large house with many off-color accents so they sent a good sized team. They also communicated well throughout the job, moved quickly but with attention to detail, and the job was done before I knew it. The whole team was friendly but professional and it was easy to have them around. The only add-on was to repair the posts holding up my porch, which turned out to have extensive rot at the bottom.. They cleared that with me and provided a quote for the add on before doing the work.... which likely averted a collapse at some point in the future. Well worth it. The house looks beautiful an I suspect the paint will hold up for many years.
