Kevin was recommended to me by my real estate agent and I really cannot say enough good things about him! Kevin was thorough in his inspection and detailed in his report. He went out of his way to explain things to me (I who knows nothing about construction or houses) in an understandable way. He was very practical and was able to lay our for me the important work that needed to happen immediately versus the important work that could be put off for a little while. The number 1 thing that really set Kevin apart though was his willingness to answer questions I had about the property well after the inspection and even taking a look at some contractor estimates on my behalf to tell me what seemed in and out of line. I have no hesitation recommending Kevin and would absolutely use him as my inspector if I ever decide again to buy.

I can not give enough rave reviews for Kevin Morrison and his home inspection. He was thorough, professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Told us what needed to be now and what could wait. Sent a very in detail report. He didn't nitpick or look for things that were wrong that weren't, just objectively evaluated everything and reported what he found, along with preventative solutions. Have used several different home inspectors in the past and he was by far the best. Highly recommend him for any inspections.

I was delighted with him. He's very personable, he went through everything well and he was flexible with us. He was able to meet our schedule even though we gave him short notice. He exceeded our expectations.

Getting the home inspection done right on a house you're interested in purchasing is critical. I found Kevin on Angie's List and was extremely happy that I had. Kevin is responsive, personable, prompt, & extremely competent and professional. He was happy to keep me updated during the inspection on what he was finding, pointing out this or that that needed particular attention, and we had a complete written report the same night. It turned out that our "perfect" home wasn't quite as perfect as we'd imagined, and that was extremely important to know before arriving at a final price for the deal: he wound up saving us a significant amount of money.

Kevin was on time. We had the report the same day. He was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. We recommend Kevin without reservation.

Kevin was the best home inspector that I've worked with. I was really looking to avoid the big inspection companies that are just going over a check list and not really looking hard enough to find possible issues with the home. Kevin didn't disappoint. *Arrived early and was working when I arrived at the home. *Walked the roof and found an issue with the chimney that other inspectors may not have found. *Took his time looking at every detail of the home *Produced the inspection report the same day as the work was done *Made recommendations for future issue avoidance and maintenance procedures *Explained the various systems in the home and how to work them *Provided excellent referrals for water and septic testing all in all I'd recommend Kevin to anyone looking to do a home inspection.

He was very professional from the get go and responded to email and phone calls promptly. On the day of the inspection he was there before the time he had specified and had already started with his outside inspection. He seemed very thorough in his job. Since the home was relatively new construction (2007) there were not many issues sighted. It gave us the peace of mind to go through with the purchase and now about a year after that everything is going strong in the house. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I called Kevin late on a Friday afternoon with the need to get an inspection by early the next week. Within an hour he had 3 times for me to choose from and we scheduled it for the following Wed. Communication before the inspection was responsive to my questions and all of the information I needed prior to the appointment was provided. The day of the inspection Kevin was on time and fully prepared. He came highly recommended and drove from NH to Mansfield, MA where the inspection was too place. He was professional and courteous and shared his thoughts with me while we walked the property. I found it very useful to learn about the home during the process and Kevin shared what his concerns and opinions were as he worked. The total inspection took about three hours and Kevin went through the whole house. He was on the roof, in the basement and examined every room carefully. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and felt comfortable that the property was properly checked out for us to make a decision. Once completed Kevin provided us with a 10 page written report that evening and instructions to call with any additional questions we had. It wasn't a report where you use a template or boiler plate copy. Kevin's report had specific information related to the property we had inspected and was type written. I would highly recommend Morrison Home Inspection and would most certainly call Kevin again and use him in the future we I need his services.

Kevin came highly recommended by our real estate attorney. We've done inspections on 4 different properties over the last year and Kevin was far and away the most thorough, most helpful and most reasonable (i.e. not alarmist) about any areas of concern he found during the inspection. He was also a really nice, down to earth and professional person to work with. His report was detailed and delivered to us via email the same day as the inspection. He was available via email and phone. I hope that we're done with inspections for a long time, but if I need an inspector in the future, Kevin will be the first one I call!

I had used Kevin Morrison back in 2003 and he was fantastic and saved me from what would have been a terrible home purchase. I had also used Jim in 2009 and had a great experience then as well. I was really happy that he could accommodate us on such short notice. He was extremely thorough and took time to explain everything to my husband (I could not make the inspection) and sent us an extremely detailed and thorough report that same night. I would without a doubt use them again.

I called Morrison Home Inspections and spoke with Kevin who was available the next day. What a great guy...trusting, professional, yet very down to earth, communicative and soft spoken. Kevin was extremely thorough and very observant of everything. His knowledge due to his experience and certifications was amazing in verbal and written reporting. I would definitely recommend this famiy owned company to anyone.

Jim came highly recommended from our Buyer's Agent, and I am glad I took the advice. Jim gave the property a thorough, careful inspection, and patiently and clearly answered all of my questions. He has a reputation for being an excellent teacher, and it is clear that he loves his job. There are two particular things I'd like to note: (1) he corrected an error made by the pest inspector. That is, during the home inspection, I also asked a pest inspector to visit, who found one small brown mark in the basement (and rushed to give me a $$$ proposal for services). Fortunately, Jim was there, who disagreed. Jim was right - the brown mark was due to glue that had attached some wood paneling in years past. Whew! (2) Jim's report focuses on the stuff that you really need to know, the stuff that's actionable. I greatly preferred that to the output of a different inspector I used in the past.

Jim was the perfect home inspector for first time buyers! We got his contact from our Buyer Agent since many of their clients used Jim and were satisfied by his work (so he was on their short list of ~4 inspectors). From the phone call, he explained what was going to happen - step-by-step, at a good pace for someone like me - going through this for the first time. He arrived early for our appointment and already had a look around the condo. We walked through each section together - with him explaining everything he was doing. He also fielded all my questions as the inspection went along. We inspected the basement, the outside, the water heater, heating/AC unit, the condo, the plumbing, the deck. The best thing was that he also gave advice on how to care for items such the heating/AC unit - showing me how to open the filter and how to change it (and how often I should change it) so that my heating/AC unit would be in good working order. He made great suggestions to send back to the seller for fixing/improving. He took his time, which made us feel confident that our home was thoroughly inspected.

Jim was recommended to us by another home inspector that was found on angies list that could not accommodate our schedule. I contacted multiple inspectors and felt most comfortable with Jim and his services after our initial phone consultation. We discussed the property and the specifics of the inspection for 20-30 minutes. He described the steps involved with the inspection and asked ahead of time if we had any specific issues or concerns that we wanted to focus on as the house being inspected was was built around 1900 and has been updated and renovated over the years. Rather just show up and rip through a checklist of items and take a check, Jim spends time with the buyers describing in detail all aspects of the inspection to ensure you understand what you are purchasing. Jim's approach to home inspection is refreshing and appreciative for someone like me that wants to learn what is right and wrong with the home. Jim made every effort to point to me, my wife and our agent exactly what he was looking at and exactly what it meant in terms of the structure. its operation, and any potential issues. He even pointed out the good things about the home and its structure. The inspection took a little over three hours and at no point felt unproductive or unnecessarily slow. All of our questions were answered thoroughly and with sincere concern for that we were comfortable with his answers. My brother is a master plumber and also inspected the plumbing and heating of the house. He found no issues and agreed with everything that Jim had already pointed to us. We will recommend Jim to all of our family in friends. I would never hesitate to hire Jim. In fact I would only call Jim for any future inspections.

The level of service that we received is what you would expect if you had a family member who was a home inspector. It was never about finding flaws which we could use to dicker with the sellers over the price. We wanted to do our due diligence. We wanted to know what we were potentially getting into with this property, and how to care for it if it became ours. Jim Morrison provided precisely that. We saw a house on a Saturday, made an offer on a Monday, made a final offer on a Tuesday, and on Wednesday needed to schedule a home inspection by the next Saturday (three days later) to meet a purchase & sale deadline of Tuesday. We called Jim on Wednesday. Our call was returned in less than two hours. Jim spent 10 minutes describing how he approaches home inspections and understand what our needs were. He made an appointment for Saturday morning. He arrived on time, was both thorough and meticulous in his inspection of the property. He also to the time to explain each step and educate us regarding the issues specific to the home. He stayed until every one of our questions were answered. We had our written report sent to us within five hours of the inspection. Jim's report was invaluable to us in terms of evaluating the property, helping us understand the immediate and less immediate needs of the home, and giving us a vocabulary to utilize during subsequent inspections with electricians, exterminators, and foundation experts.

He did a good job and we had a lot of follow up questions for months after the inspection. We appreciated that.

Jim Morrison did our inspection, and he was fantastic. He was able to work us into the schedule on about a week's notice right before a holiday weekend. He started by climbing onto the roof to inspect it. He was able to tell us that there were already several layers of shingles on the roof, which would increase the cost to eventually replace it, and this was later a bargaining point we had with the sellers. He also found that one of the flues was more than half blocked...whoops! We notified the sellers of that so they could have the blockage cleared. The rest of the inspection was also thorough - he pointed out that a stump in front could lead to termite problems, made suggestions for improving the grading, and so on. The whole inspection took about three and a half hours, and he was very good about explaining what he was doing as he went along. I emailed him three weeks later to ask about a change to the heating system we were considering, and got a reply the same day.

I met Jim Morrison at the address for an inspection. He was very thorough and went over all aspects of the house. Jim was very patient and explained everything he was doing. I specifically chose him because he was recommended by a friend and because I had heard he was very thorough. Mr. Morrison did an excellent job and found many issues with the property to which I would have otherwise been completely oblivious. Jim was also very pleasant to work with, and good at giving price estimates of repairs and letting me know how to prioritize the issues. He might be slightly more expensive than other contractors, but I think you pay for quality and true knowledge.

I HAVE USED THE ALLAN MORRISON HOME INSPECTION GROUP TWICE, ONCE IN SPRING 2005 AND ONCE IN 1993, AND HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED. I WAS LIVING OUT OF THE COUNTRY AND CAME BACK TO THE BOSTON AREA TO FIND A HOUSE. I MADE AN OFFER ON A SUNDAY NIGHT AND THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE IT A COMPLETE INSPECTION ON TUESDAY MORNING. THANKFULLY, WE DIDN'T RUN INTO ANY DEAL BREAKERS BUT I AM USING THE COMPANY'S VERY THOROUGH SUMMARY AS MY "TO DO" LIST. MY INSPECTION WAS DONE BY KEVIN, A NEPHEW OF THE OWNER. THERE WERE THREE REALTORS PRESENT AND THEY ALL WERE COMMENTING ON HOW THOROUGH A JOB WAS BEING DONE. THE COMPANY ENCOURAGES CLIENTS TO CALL THEM IF THEY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ONCE THEY MOVE IN. WE DID THAT TWICE AND THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL.

THEY DIDN'T GO ON THE ROOF TO INSPECT LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD, THE CLIMBED UP THE LADDER AND LOOKED OVER THE ROOF BUT NOT ON IT.

VERY THOROUGH, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING VERY WELL, EXCELLENT WRITTEN REPORT DELIVERED IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. THE INSPECTOR FOUND SEVERAL THINGS THAT WE TOTALLY MISSED. THAT NOT ONLY SAVED US A LOT OF MONEY, BUT THE ITEMS WERE ALSO HAZARDOUS. EX: FRAYED ELECTRICAL SERVICE WIRE, EXTREMELY HIGH CO OUTPUT FROM THE FURNACE, IMPROPERLY WIRED ELECTRIC OVEN, ETC.
