Kevin doesn’t just “kick the tires” during an inspection: he’s up in the attic, down in the crawl spaces, and up on the roof; checking for signs of both trouble and carefully performed maintenance. At the conclusion of an inspection, he delivers an extremely detailed report that not only indicates issues with a home, but also lists appropriate future maintenance and remedies. We purchased our home in August of 2017, and Kevin has made himself available from time to time for questions and advice above and beyond his initial consults. In a region with a large inventory of older homes that correspondingly may have long standing issues, a company like Morrison Home Inspection provides a welcome and vital service. We recommend Morrison to anyone who asks, and we would not purchase another home without their assistance.

+ -1 moreKevin Morrison is a classy, honest, punctual, responsive and a very thorough professional. I had him help me inspect a home I am planning to buy and was extremely pleased with his work. He answered emails, texts, and phone calls was very patient, showed 5 mins before the job start, came back on the weekend to install radon kit and back on Monday to collect it. Very respectful of people's properties and personable. He is a straight shooter and never tells you what you want to hear, but rather what you need to know. I will definitely hire Kevin for any home related work that he would be willing to do and recommend him confidently for home buying inspection.

+ -1 moreKevin Morrison was recommended to us by our buyer's agent as well as a previous client, and we were really happy with his services. We'd heard horror stories from people who felt that their home inspector talked down to them, was in a rush, or was reluctant to explain what they were doing. Our experience with Kevin was the exact opposite. Not only was he able to come within a couple days of our offer being accepted, he also showed up early to start looking at the exterior of the house. He moved quickly but seemed extremely efficient and really educated us about the house. His report was ready that night and it has been an invaluable roadmap for prioritizing upgrades and repairs as we've started settling in. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or use his services again.

+ -1 moreThe inspection process was excellent, as a first-time homebuyer, Kevin was extremely patient with my questions and very thorough, stopping frequently to explain how systems worked and why things he noticed were problematic. He spent over 3 hours at the house and was very professional and friendly. So many issues were detected in the first house that we ended up passing on it, but we were so impressed with Kevin that we hired him again to inspect the next house, which was also a great experience. I left both inspections feeling like I had learned a lot about the house, what to look for in terms of problems, and what to plan for in terms of future projects. Thanks Kevin!

+ -1 moreKevin Morrison was our home inspector and he was GREAT. I had a hard time finding a home inspector who would come out in short notice and just before the holiday break but Kevin came out. He was punctual, responsive and professional. We got there a few minutes late and he was already up on the roof inspecting. He walked us through the process and explained his finding, what to watch out for, general maintenance, complexity of repair, etc... He was wonderful and we are so glad to have found him on Angie's list and for him to come out and complete the home inspection.

+ -1 moreThe service was fantastic. Kevin Morrison was great to work with and extremely knowledgeable. If he didn't have an exact answer he wasn't going to make something up but instead, he would say, "Let me find out for you." He was also extremely thorough and professional. Any questions I had pre, during and post inspection he would be quick to respond and always gave his professional opinion on topics. The report he presented at the end was just as thorough as his inspection, listing out ALL of his findings no matter how minimal which is nice knowing exactly what you are getting yourself into.

+ -1 moreThis gentleman was pleasant, efficient and completely honest about findings and what I should be concerned about and what was everyday wear and tear or low budget items to repair. He also did water testing and made a special trip to do that first to insure that the rest of the inspection would be needed, saving me unnecessary expense even though he would have made more money doing it all at once. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any home inspections or water testing you may need to the New England area.
Description of Work: Kevin Morrison inspected a home that I am purchasing in New Hampshire, while I am still in Colorado. He also did water testing for the well water quality and quantity.

He explained everything to us along the way; both items of concern and explained how certain systems worked, maintenance considerations, etc. He found items I'm confident most others would have missed. He even identified pest activity, which the pest inspector missed. Kevin also went above and beyond to help us resolve a last minute issue a month later in order to satisfy my lenders requirements. I will recommend Kevin first to anyone I know looking for a quality home inspector.

+ -1 moreKevin showed up on time, was very professional, well-spoken, and attentive. He climbed up on the roof, walked around the exterior of the house, then we went inside and looked at the basement, bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, heating systems, inspected the walls and structural beams, attic, windows - pretty much everything was looked at with scrutiny and documented. Later Kevin documented everything in a very detailed email and sent it the same evening with photos of severe problem areas. Kevin saved us from would have been a huge money pit!

Description of Work: Kevin inspected two different houses for us. In both cases he was promptly on time, spent over four hours, climbed on the roof, carefully checked the chimneys, every piece of the outside of the house, stopped to point out issues as he went along, gave advice and that was just the outside. Once inside he started in the basement, inspected each joist, every outlet, the plumbing, wiring, the heating systems, the cooling systems and again stopped to point out things even small things as he went along. He followed that by testing the water flow, and appliances, ceiling for water damage etc. We spent a lot of time going through it and it was actually exhausting by the time he was finished. That night, for each house, he sent a comprehensive report of his findings. We had air and water quality test performed as well and we got the results on the day he said we would (a couple of days later). He found a significant issue with the first house, hence the second house. I highly recommend Morrison home inspection. It's worth the time and money In our case he saved us thousands and we wouldn't have even known to take care of the issues as they were hidden from view.

My questions were met with quick response and they even notified me when they had cancellations, in case I wanted to take advantage of an opening. I chose to go with a personal referral, but have only good things to say about my interaction with Morrison. I would definitely consider using them in the future.
