Description of Work: A technician came out to check the oil filter for my furnace. He also did a visual check of the entire system. No charge for the "check-up", and I did buy the filter which I can install myself when needed as the tech recommended. Definitely will call them in the future if need be.

Description of Work: I had just purchased a new Gas range which needed to be converted to Propane. Palmer Gas technicians installed the the propane conversion kits, and adjusted all the burner settings to ensure they work properly. I would definitely use Palmer Gas in the future.

+ 0 moreLast night, I experienced two scenarios for the original time. First, I lost heat! First, every single employee working for a utility company during a "customer crisis" was skilled, knowledgeable, self-sufficient and incredibly customer friendly. My family and I have been with Palmer Gas for over seven years. Through good times and bad they have remained assertive, reliable and customer oriented. Every employee pours their appreciation of their job onto the customer. You can feel their admiration and loyalty. They are like a finely tuned orchestra, and the conductor should be commemorated. Last night was my first house call, and I was impressed. I plan on forwarding this letter to Palmer Gas as well because we hear of the bad too often and little of the good. Late yesterday afternoon I realized I was colder than usual and "sniff" "sniff"... is that gas I smell? I immediately called the after-hour representative who remained, calm and effective every time I called. The technician called in a timely manner and with every conversation, I was confident he would ?get the job done.? I have moved so many times I have lost count, so I know technicians. And he is every mover's dream and customer?s best friend. There is no doubt in my mind that he is a star employee, and his hard work and reliability should not be overlooked.
Description of Work: He came out to my house late on a cold busy weekend to give me gas. He was an example of how every technician should be with home visits.

+ -1 moreIn talking to their salespersons we thought they were customer-friendly. They had a senior rate, you could but it in advanced to get a lower price and they've been very good with coming down to the site and telling me where to put the generator and the tank and they were good.

+ -1 moreI called Palmer to come check out a furnace that was not working. This was Wednesday November 21 before Thanksgiving. They came and looked at the machine and agreed it was not working. This was done in a timely manner They told me it could not be fixed until after the Holiday on Monday. That means 5 + days with no heat and a 6 month old baby at home. I was shocked. I called and they told me there is no law in NH that says they have to fix heat in any amount of given time. I was sad and shocked that they were so cold to a family in need. Our home is currently 30 degrees and still not scheduled to be fixed at any set date or time. Today is Monday November 26.
Description of Work: Palmer is meant to fix or replace our heater.

+ 0 moreGreat company, great CEO who will talk to you if you need to, Bill Ermer, and highly trained technicians. I recently ran out of oil and it was delivered right away. A tech came in and made sure my furnace was working so we would have hot water.I rate this company A+.
Description of Work: OIL DELIVERIES Always on time. I am on a on call basis due to a large tank but whenever I call oil is delivered right away.FURNACE REPAIRS....I have their maintenance plan. Repairs are done right away when I have had to call. ANNUAL TUNE-UP...I do sign up for this and it is done in the summer months so that when winter comes we are all set.YEARLY BUDGET PLANS WITH OIL PRICES SO HIGH....a great feature I love with this company. PLANNING FOR NEW TANK AT SOME POINT..... his is one thing we are still planning to do at some point but have not made arrangements yet. Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil has been in business in Salem, NH for a very long time. They provide great service and have many plans to help people out with their heating needs. They are extremely dependable. Their service techs are great both with people and with the services they perform. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a good oil or gas provider for their homes.
