Description of Work: River City Heating & Cooling has been doing yearly maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner for about ten years. They did a great job and kept my systems working beyond the normal life expectancy. I never had problems between the service dates ( as I had with when I used a different company for maintenance). This is the year, before my secluded furnace maintenance, my 23 year old furnace went out. River City Heating & Cooling came out and gave me the option to repair or replace. I opted to replace both units and was very pleased with the presentation of options and equally pleased with the installers. The job was done in one day, the technicians were neat and explained everything to me.

Description of Work: Wonderful service all around -- it took some time to decide what we needed to do, as our house is a rent-to-own and we had to deal with a landlord. Jeff is top-notch in terms of salesmanship, quality of educating the consumer, and kindness! He was patient while we worked out the details of such a costly investment. He did NOT give us the "hard sell" but rather took us step-by-step through the details of HVAC mechanisms, regulations, workmanship, and desirability. River City Heating and Cooling = A+ |It's never fun to spend this much money on home repairs, but I truly feel like we got our money's worth and will for years to come. What's more, the technicians were skillful and efficient. THANKS!!!

Description of Work: My furnace stopped working the night before and the temperature in the house was 46 degrees Sunday morning. After doing some checking with Angies list and the yellow pages, I decided on River City. They were prompt after I called them and they had to replace the ignitor on the furnace. The repairman was thorough and completely checked the furnace to be sure there were no other problems. Before the serviceman left he was sure that he had answered any questions that I may have had.

 + -1 moreThe first part of October we purchased a new heating and air-conditioning and they moved it from one side of the utility room to the opposite of the utility room. Everything they have done has been wonderful and they also got rid of the old unit for us. We spent $12,000 on that work and I was pleased with the person that came out and did the bidding. He new exactly what was going on and had been in the field and did a lot of explaining and I felt that I good really trust him. He did a good job. I interviewed another company and liked the company and the young man that was out here, but he was a sales person and felt that he did not know the business.
Description of Work: We used River City Heating & Cooling Inc. in October and again in April because the air-conditioning did not work when we turned it on because one of the copper wires was damaged by the construction company and all the coolant had leaked out, so they had to repair that.

 + -1 moreI liked how the technician explained what he was doing and what settings he left on the equipment when he was done. He was very polite and knowledgeable, and made sure we understood what was going both before and after the work was completed.
Description of Work: We purchased the annual contract from River City, which includes a fall checkup for the furnace and humidifier, as well as a spring checkup for the air conditioner. The fall service went very well. The technician showed up right on time and was done in less than an hour. He cleaned out everything in the furnace, checked all the electrical and gas hookups, inspected the heat exchanger and tested for CO emissions.

They did a great job all together and they even requested to keep the old furnace for a small discount because they thought it could be rebuilt.
