Another company wanting to take your money before earning the job. I have an HVAC system that needs repairs and want to get quotes from several different HVAC companies. These guys are your typical contractor that what is important is their $89 service fee, non-refundale if they don't get the job. Advice run don't walk away from this "company". They are just out to make a buck. NO customer service. I will also submit a BBB review. Angie's list should do a better job screening companies.

John showed up on time and treated us with honesty and integrity. Repaired the fan on the unit and did the repair under warranty. Charged for a service call and 1 hour labor. Also had to replace a couple of other items.

I signed up for their residential HVAC preventative maintenance program, which costs $165/year plus tax. It was easy to schedule my spring service and I was pleasantly surprised they offered Saturdays, which meant I didn't need to take off work. On the day of service, they called about 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment to let me know the technician was en route to my house. He arrived right on time. He took about a little over an hour to inspect/check and clean the interior and exterior AC components. He also went above and beyond and taught me how to clean out and replace the humidifier pad.

It went well. Job was done quickly and the workers were professional and helpful and nice.

From the bid process through installation and follow-up, River City Heating & Cooling exceeded my expectations. The company’s representative took time to evaluate our HVAC needs and then submitted a detailed bid which flowed well and was easy to understand. The installation was seamless. The company’s representative was on site prior to the arrival of the installation team in order to place protective floor covers and introduce the the team once they arrived. The installation team was courteous and professional. The company’s representative followed up the proceeding week to discuss warranties and answer any questions. I highly recommend River City Heating and Cooling.

Great! We have used River City for over 20 years with no issues. We needed to replace our current units due to age. We received one bid from another supplier before asking for a bid from River City. The River City Residential Manager, Jeff Ladwig, asked us questions about our needs. He understood what we needed and provided us with a detailed, and understandable, bid. The price was competitive. Also, because of our long term experience with River City we felt very comfortable with using them. The installation was scheduled a few days after we accepted the bid. The staff were on time and quickly went to work. It was obvious they knew what they were doing. The were focused on getting the work done properly and professional during the entire installation. They actually completed the installation earlier than we expected. After the installation was completed and the staff left we noticed some small water near the furnace. We quickly called River City. They said a technician would be onsite within 20 minutes. The technician(Jose) arrived in 10 minutes. My wife and I had determined the problem had nothing to do with the installation. Our drain where the water from the humidifier empties was plugged. Jose saw that we had a "snake" and asked if he could use. He quickly unplugged the drain! The only reason I mention this non-problem was due to River City's quick response and Jose's quick and willing help.

From start to finish everything went great. Jeff l. Did an outstanding job explaining everything, did not make me feel dumb, didn't over sell the system to me. When he left my home I felt very comfortable making the decision to use them for the job. The entire job was completed in one day while I was at work. When I returned home I couldn't even tell someone had been in my home. Excellent company would use them again and recommend them to all.

I had a very professional, detailed, and understandable experience dealing with the River City Heating and Cooling Company from start to finish. Residential Manager, Jeff, explained thoroughly the initial details and process of pricing, product and installation, and gave me time to think over everything before deciding. I have to say, I'm very satisfied with the whole process from beginning to end, and the installers, Will, Alex and Hose, and anyone I might be forgetting, were very courteous & professional, too. Technician were very professional and knowledgeable

It went well. There were a couple minor adjustments that needed fixing after the install team finished, but they were quickly resolved after dinner by a different install technition.

Everything went like clockwork! The crew was punctual. Showed up exactly on time, and finished EXACTLY on time, which I could not believe! Their salesman stated it would take about 7 hours for them to complete the install, and they were done and loading up the van exactly 7 hours after they arrived. The crew was polite, professional, and went over the entire system, inside and out, before they left. William was particularly helpful and made sure I had no more questions before they left. The salesman, Jeff, was wonderful, and had both me and my husband very confident we had chosen the right system for our needs. The price was reasonable and Jeff was extremely knowledgable about Trane systems, the brand we chose, having visited both of their factories. I could not be happier with the service we received and with our new system!!

Everything went great for install, product use information. Jeff went above and beyond with sales and follow up. He is a very personable person. The technicians cleaned up and did quality work. Highly recommend this company!!!

The presentation and installation were done very professionally. All parts of the procedure were explained both before and after installation. The owner and the installation crew were very courteous, careful and knowledgeable. They left the site both inside and outside in very clean condition. They were all cheerful and helpful and seemed to enjoy their work. And there were some perks for us when the work was inspected by the owner. Highly recommend this company. The equipment is working well. We would not hesitate to contact the company for help if needed.

Very professional. Jeff Ladwig is a saint. He oversaw the project from start to finish. Everything was taken into account and he described the process and worked with us to install the best product for our needs. He provided a great brand at a reasonable price.

They were professional, prompt, and very personable. They came out quickly and were able to help us out in the matter of a couple days. Very nice people and they don't push to sell if you don't need it.

I needed new furnace and a/c. The installation went very smooth. I am writing this review after using the furnace over 4 1/2 months. Everything runs perfect. My heating bills seem to have gone done even though I had high efficiency before. If it matters to anyone I had the 96% efficiency with 2 stage. I wouldn't change anything after running it almost 5 months. The best part of the process was the honesty and low pressure sales presentation. I am also impressed with the service department. Before I had this furnace and a/c I had another Trane installed by another company that they serviced about 2 or 3 years. They check some items the other company didn't (e.g. carbon monoxide) and if there is a problem they have you look at the defective parts or look at meter readings. They don't just tell you something needs replacing.

Very professional from initial call to service completion. The technician arrived on time, introduced himself and explained the process. During the inspection, he found pieces of the furnace filter inside which was causing the chirping noise when it was on so he cleared it all out. He also confirmed that while our furnace is older, it is still working at 80% efficiency and in good condition. He also checked our humidifier as it hasn't worked in years. He explained there was a couple of small parts that needed to be replaced and water added. Once those things were done by a plumber or contractor, he said it would work. I appreciated his thoroughness, knowledge and this personable professionalism. I will definitely use this company again. Great job!

It went great and I highly recommend the company! When I contacted them, I spoke with Jeff Ladwig who came out to our home to assess the problem we were having with a wide range of temperatures at different areas of the home. Not only was he kind and courteous, he took the time to educate us on our furnace system, and gave us several helpful pointers on what to do in order to get better results with our heating. He helped us change out our humidifier filter, and did a very thorough job. Upon completion, he did not charge us as he said that everything he helped with was not something that incurred a charge. We were so impressed, we plan on using them for all of our HVAC needs. In this day and age, it is difficult to find honest and trustworthy help, but Jeff is definitely one of those people.

From my initial call through the final inspection, everything was handled very courteously and professionally. I very much appreciated the comprehensiveness of the explanation of the problems with my 27-year old equipment, the detailed in-person description of the replacement alternatives available to me, the ultra-timely proposal (within 2 hours of our meeting), and the promptness and efficiency of the installation work. River City provided a five-person team on a very cold day. They handled everything exactly in accordance with the River City proposal, with minimal disruption to my daily routine, and kept and left the house neat and clean.

The new furnace seems to be much more efficient at the same temp setting and the new thermostat is smarter than I am! Jeff returned for a final inspection and not only hooked my thermostat up to the Wifi and my phone, but also explained everything again, brought me flowers, and a few other perks that really made my day. He gave me every discount he could and gave me credit for being a long-time customer and for my next 2 years worth of inspections. I feel comfortable physically, and mentally, that I will be warm this winter and that if there are any other questions or issues, that Jeff is just a phone call away.

I rarely bother to write reviews because I'm rarely very impressed or overly disappointed. My experience with River City Heating and Cooling is a definite exception! Outside of getting everything for free, I couldn't be happier. River City didn't give me the lowest bid but they did give me the highest comfort level right from the get go. Jeff Ladwig really knows his stuff and made the whole process incredibly simple. He explained and explained and wasn't bothered by any of my questions. I never once felt like he was trying to oversell me and I was pleasantly surprised when he actually talked me out of wasting a few hundred dollars on doing something completely unnecessary that other companies convinced me needed to be done. Jeff was at the house when Brian and Jose arrived to rip out the old and install the new. Brian and Jose were very polite and professional and didn't seem bothered at all when I wanted to sneak a peek at what was going on or ask the occasional dumb question that they probably get asked on every single install. The old stuff was ripped out and taken away and the new Trane stuff was installed in what I think was only about six hours! Everything was left nice and clean and I was shown how all the new stuff worked including the sweet new wi-fi thermostat. I highly recommend paying the extra few bucks for that! Jeff set up a time to come back out a couple days later to do a final inspection and go over everything with me again. He also explained the annual maintenance plan (no brainer, get it!). The new Trane units are so incredibly quiet compared to the old stuff which was a big deal for us. And the temperature in the house is much, much more consistent from room to room and even floor to floor. I'm more than glad I went with River City. I can't imagine ever calling anyone else for anything HVAC related. Every single person I dealt with from initial call to final inspection was polite, professional, responsive, and a pleasure to speak with. Each is an asset to the company as far as I'm concerned. River City does things right!

The install team arrived on time and performed their tasks in an efficient and friendly manner leaving no mess behind. There were 2 teams there at the same time; one doing the A/C and the other team doing the furnace. They made sure that we understood how everything worked and exactly what we needed to do to use it all efficiently. They obtained all permits for us so we didn't need to bother with all that. We were able to use both the furnace and A/C within the next few days and they both worked as advertised. The final inspection showed everything working exactly as it should. We couldn't be happier with our new systems and all the services we received. We have many thanks for all those on the River City teams that made this happen. We were treated like we were the only customers they had, but knew we were only one of many. We will continue to use River City going forward as we are very happy with them. p.s. Didn't add the cost of services since it'd be totally contingent upon what system you chose.
