Response from Quality Irrigation
We’re very sorry that we disappointed you and we want to explain our estimate. In fact, we tried contacting you by phone but we were unsuccessful. First, we evidently got our wires crossed the day we came out. We left with the impression that you were going to have the other contractor do the work but that doesn’t matter because if you were expecting a written estimate that same day, not just a rough one, we should have clarified and delivered. Believe me, we haven’t built our business by not meeting our customers’ expectations. That’s now what we’re all about! In addition, let me explain that providing an estimate that involves problems with tree roots can be problematic. You never know what you’re going to find once you start digging down in and around all of those roots or what kind of equipment you’re going to need to handle the job. And our policy is to always to live to our estimates. We know that people become angry and suspicious of contractors who give one price to win the work and then at time of job, start adding on money due to “unexpected” problems. That’s why we try to anticipate issues and build those into our estimates. We’d rather you be pleasantly surprised when we come in under estimate than be angry if we go over. Please know that we sincerely appreciate you contacting us for your project and we hope your irrigation system is now running well. Perhaps you’ll give us another chance in the future to earn your business. Thank you!
