Nebraska Home Appliance

Our refridgerator is 9 years old. When we noticed water coming out from under the unit, we thought we would have to get a new fridge. Getting new stuff is always exciting, but I wasn't quite ready to spend the money needed for a new fridge. We couldn't find any leaks in water line that goes from the wall to the unit, and I am not 100% comfortable taking the fridge apart, so we called NHA for help. (We found NHA through Angie's list!) I was able to schedule the appointment for the next day. They came to my home within the time frame they had indicated. The technician (Kevin) was very knowledgable and identified the problem very quickly. He also told us (based on his experience) of other parts that may need to replaced in the future. When he cleaned the condenser, he showed us how to do it and provided recommendations on how often it should be cleaned.

The tech was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He updated a part for the ice maker quickly, and gave me the Angie's List discount and the senior discount! I was very appreciative that they came out before the long weekend, as the leak was quickly getting worse, even though I turned it off. Other companies I called couldn't come out until the next week. Linda, at the office was so nice and very helpful. I would recommend Nebraska Home appliance to everyone.

I went online to their website to schedule an appointment. It was a bit "outdated" looking, but the online service scheduling system they had there worked like a charm. The technician came the next day and within 5 minutes correctly identified the problem. He did the work and our refrigerator was up and running, all w/i 24 hours of the first time I tried to contact them. The price was reasonable too.

My dishwasher was not draining and I didn?t want to pay for someone to come out. After watching some videos and taking it apart it still did not work. I went in to Nebraska Home Appliance to talk to someone in person. They were very friendly and paid attention to what I was telling them. The man behind the counter seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and even knew the part number and location in the store without looking it up! All I needed was a $16 part. He told me how to install it and why it was the reason for the malfunction. He was absolutely correct and it only took me about 10 minutes to fix the machine when I got home. I would defiantly go to them whenever I have appliance issues in the future.

At 5:30 p.m. on Thursday 5/8/2014, the water dispenser on the refrigerator door stopped dispensing and water started coming from under the frig. I turned off the water at the main. My husband and I moved the frig out from the wall to access the shut-off valve. I tried my usual appliance repair company, but they were already closed for the day. On Friday morning I called them again. The soonest they could come was Monday. Using Angies List, I looked for a couple alternatives. Nebraska Home Appliance was able to come the next morning, Saturday, and there was an Angies list coupon. On Saturday morning, Jeff C. replaced the control board and repaired the water line. Since we had just replaced the ac, I did not want to have to replace the refrigerator.

Wow, What can I say! From calling the office and speaking to Linda (she has great customer service & professionalism) to scheduling a service appointment it was a wonderful experience. Brian called prior to the appointment to let me know he'd be at the house. He was pleasant/respectful, very knowledgeable/super smart, isolated the issue and called to see if they carried the part (kitchen aid no longer makes the bisque color. Can you believe it! Brian gave me options to match the bisque color I said no thanks). He went and got the part, came back quickly to install the new latch (which works great) and he even asked if he could help with anything else. Give the man a raise/increase!!!!!!! He also gave me samples of a dishwasher product (yes, he personally has tried it and likes it) along with recommending a DW cleaner, which I can get at Nebraska Home Appliance for a low price of 6.99. I would have bought it then by he didn't have it in his truck. All techs need to carry the cleaner. Brian was not pushy at all, I was the one who asked him about cleaners & detergents. Over all I will call them for any other needs I have and highly recommend them. Of course ask for Brian, he's the bomb. **Please remember its not the Service Technician's fault that the part takes awhile to get or is now long made, it's the companies and where they are made. P.S. They do other services as well; dryer vent cleaning etc... Who knew.

I had problems with my dryer. Shannon did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and explained what he was doing. He was professional, friendly, and thorough in his explanation. If I have appliance problems in the future, I will be calling Nebraska Home Appliance!

called them at 8:00a and said I needed to have refrigerator fixed that day as we were selling the house and the closing was the next day. They were completely booked, but told me that they would do whatever they could to fix same day if at all possible. They called early afternoon and had a technician at the house within 15 minutes. I spoke to technician on the phone, gave hime the details and the garage code to get in since it would take me 40 minutes to get there. He called me back soon after and had the problem resolved.. Very polite and professional. Would definitely use again.

I needed this fixed ASAP and Nebraska Home Appliance was able to make that happen. In fact, I had first called another provider in the area and they couldn't make it out until Saturday. That wasn't going to work. I was very glad when NHA fit me in with no problem. The cost wasn't terrible either. The service technician, Shannon, made sure to apply discounts before quoting me a price. Very good work, guys! I will use your service again should I have a need.

The guy was good and the quality of service was great. He did not charge me because it was still under warranty.

Called in the afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for the next afternoon. On the phone, my information was taken along with model number so they could be sure to be prepared for the service. I was called the next morning to see if I would like service earlier than scheduled. Service person showed up at new agreed time, prepared with the parts needed to fix the machine and had everything back and working within my lunch hour. Everyone was very professional and I would definitely use the company again for future service needs.

Our technician was on time and very pleasant and helpful.

The customer service representatives were extremely cordial to speak with. I didn't realize I received a confirmation email to schedule an appointment which I needed to follow the link to confirm the appointment. I called and the representative said it was fine, and also mentioned that the original technician was sick and someone else was coming. Brian took the cover off the washer and I noticed a mostly clean hose which went to the steam. Brian told me it was for cold water, but I pointed out the diagram put in by the manufacturer which indicated it was the steam mechanism. He called the part center, ordered the parts and scheduled an appointment for Thursday. He never e-mailed me the receipt for the transaction. He returned on time on Thursday. I told him I didn't receive the receipt and he said he would send it to me. I have yet to receive it. He came with two parts, one which didn't fit my washer. He replaced the part that fit and said I didn't need the other part. Well, four days after Brian left, the other part broke, and the washer leaked more than it did initially. I called and received same day service for a different technician to return and take a look at the washer. This review is base on the original technician who serviced my washer. He was very friendly and had ninja-like skills getting behind the washer, but I lack confidence in his ability to fix the washer. I am currently awaiting a call to see when I can schedule another appointment for the latest needed repairs. I will update this review when they are complete with the review on my new technician. As I mentioned, customer service for this company is fantastic, but they don't fix my washer.

They came out the same day and spent some time evaluating what was really wrong with my dishwasher. It turned out to be a bad pump and he had the part in his truck. Pleased with the service.

The washer has performed great since the repair.

My dryer had stopped drying my clothes so I called Nebraska Home Appliance. Nebraska home appliance was able to come out the same day. He was very nice and professional he told me that the ignition was fine but the coil had burnt out so I had he replace it. When he finished he even pulled out most of the lent that was behind the dryer and helped me while I vacuumed behind the dryer before he pushed it back into place. I also asked him about an order coming from my dishwasher and he gave me a few suggestions on how to get rid of that. I also asked him if that take out trash compactors and replace with just a regular pull out trash bin and he does, so I know who to call when I'm ready for that. I was very happy with Nebraska and will definitely will be calling them back if I have any large appliance issues.

The washing machine (front-loading) made loud grinding noises for a while when spinning/draining and then gave up working. The timer still operated so it reached the end of the cycle and released the door lock, so I was able to siphon the remaining water out. Home Appliance sent out a workman promptly. J (?) worked efficiently and told me the problem was a bra underwire which had passed through a drainage hole in the drum and was preventing the pump from working. He offered me the choice of just putting everything together again or replacing the pump. Considering the loud grinding noises, I felt the pump might well have been damaged, and opted to replace it, especially as he verbally quoted me an estimated price of $150. But after he talked to the office, that price went up to $350. After some discussion, the price went down to $300, including labor. So far the repair appears to be good. The company was prompt, the work efficient and all done with a courteous professional manner.

Our oven broke last Tuesday. I called Nebraska Home Appliance, their first opening was Friday afternoon, and I was quoted an $80 service fee (which was waived since we had them do the repairs). I thought that was a bit discouraging, so I called a few other companies, but they were all booked up until Monday. The repairman arrived around 5pm on Friday (well with in the 4-7pm window I was given). He pleasant and courteous. He diagnosed the problem within minutes (a burnt out bake element), tracked down a part, and scheduled the repair for Monday. Had we given the oven's model number when we called to make the appointment, he probably would have had the necessary part with him when he arrived for the first service call. We also asked about replacing the missing handle on our dishwasher. He took the model number down and said he would look into it before he returned on Monday. He came back today with parts for the oven and dishwasher and had them both fixed in half an hour. It cost $163 to repair the oven, which I feel was very reasonable, and $197 for the dishwasher handle and sealing gasket (both included parts and installation), which was much more expensive than I had anticipated. Overall I was please with the service and would use Nebraska Home Appliance again.

Repairman claimed needed to replace control board, latch and display -- claimed Bosch very difficult to get parts - but would probably cost upwards of $500. When technician was diagnosing switch, I noticed that the display came on - I had to suggest that possibly it was just the switch. Repairman reset switch and re-installed. Said he may not be able to get parts for the Bosch dishwasher, because he said he had no way to know which model dishwasher we had, because the model number was difficult to read do to normal wear. Repairman explained that the promised $69.95 trip charge should be ignored; Instead charged a flat fee of $125 - but was only on-site for 20 minutes. Dishwasher worked for one cycle, then same problem. I went on-line, despite what repairman said about not being able to get parts, I was able to easily figure out which model we had. I ordered a new switch for under $30, I installed the new switch - dishwasher works like a champ. Despite what the repairman said -- control board is fine and the display also works great too.

Brian K called before the scheduled time and asked if he could come early which we thought was terrific. the washing machine wouldn't drain or spin. He found the problem (baby sock in the pump.) He put everything back together and tested the machine to make sure it worked which it did.

It was an excellent experience. They did good work and did it as promised. They were very efficient and we were pleased with them. We will surely use them again in the future if we need to.

They were fine, and I have used them in the past. They are responsible, and do the best they can.

On time, pre-visit by J of JTM, post visit by J of JTM. You couldn't ask for much more.

I ordered the cooktop and a few weeks later Todd emailed to arrange the appt to install. Their system is organized and you can book the appt via the internetl. They were able to come first thing as requested but the technician came without the cooktop (a miscommunication). Luckily I was flexible so he came back the next day to install. He did it efficiently and within a few hours. I would definitely use this company again.
