Response from Millard Sprinkler
[Member name removed] according to our records, we have serviced your sprinkler system for several years. We have reviewed several work orders we performed for you dating back a couple years to see what was done and records show that you signed every work order and were satisfied. For instance just in the last 2 years, on 5-3-11 you had us out for a turn on. We found several leaking heads, and we rescheduled for us to come out and fix them. In the meantime all of the markers for damaged heads we flagged on the first trip had been removed for mowing, causing us to have to find them again, or basically start over. After finding 8 leaky heads, we did replace and adjusted them. You signed the work order. No other work was needed that year until the fall which was simply a winterizing of the system. If there were several other problems like you portray, we would have scheduled repairs but we were never notified of any problems. The following spring you had us out again for a turn on, which we preformed and you signed the work order. On 7-13-12 you wanted us out to replace a head that was marked in the parkway. We replaced that head at 9:05am 7-14-12. July 30th you had us out to move 14 heads out of landscaping that was installed. We moved all 14 heads out of landscaping and you signed the work order. In august you had us return for a valve issue that was not present in July, which we promptly fixed. Again if there were several other problems, why were we not notified until 2 years later???? We believe in fixing what is broken, or what you would like to have done. We could have replaced all 54 heads in your yard, but feel that would be excessive. If there are other heads that break after we leave, have us out again. There are rubber and plastic parts in every head manufactured that do grow weak. We are talking about something like wiper blades on your car, after so much use they need replaced, some at different times. Some last longer than others. My guess is that you replace your windshield wipers when you notice deterioration their function as you would most likely notice when it is raining.
