Everything was great. We purchased a membership with them for the plumbing and electrical and, as members, we will always receive a 10% discount. The electrical conversion was a very difficult process, but everything turned out very well.

This is the second time we've used McCarthy's. They were prompt and professional. The technician wore protective booties while inside the house to keep the carpet clean. A part needed to be replaced. The technician showed me the faulty part and explained what was wrong with it. They did a great job, would use them again.

I was impressed with them. They had a large crew and worked professionally. The crew was friendly and worked well with each other. They came at the time they said they would. They cleaned up well. They answered all my questions.

If we have a problem in between their visits we get a discount on the repairs and the service call. They are very knowledgeable about their products and are quick and efficient.

Good overall. Found a CO leak of 4 ppm. Cleaned system.

First off, to get them to show up is $85, and that gives you a six hour window. To get them to show up within an hour is $99. That's just to show up! He showed up on time and appeared to be a nice guy. He started to do his thing and then got cocky when it came to the explanation. He said my condenser fan was seized up. That much I understood. Then his explanation went into a diatribe of such and such is pumping too much ohms and this other part is reading in at 120 watts but it should be at 240. I said that was all Greek to me and he tried to explain it, but it was still way over my head. So I thought forget it. It turned out that I needed a new unit. I asked how much. He had no idea. He couldn't even guess. He had to have one of his salesmen come out and do that. I just asked for a price range, and he couldn't even do that. I regrettably paid him his $99 and sent him on his way. The only thing I got out of him was that my AC wasn't working; that I already knew.

When your A/C goes out during a heat wave, you know there can be long delays and high costs for repairs. We knew the A/C unit at our home was 20+ years old and were torn between a new A/C unit or a heat pump. I called at 8AM an a service man was there by 1PM. Most other companies I called weren't able to have a technician visit for more than a day. After giving us the diagnosis, they had a salesman out to us within an hour and we decided to go with a heat pump over a A/C unit. The salesman was honest and helpful. After deciding what we wanted, he worked to get the paperwork through, before the end of the day (by then it was 4:30) so that the installation could be done the following day. The installation team arrived on time, worked efficiently and the house was cool and comfortable by 1PM, the next day. I'm a jewelry artist (shameless plug www.allthingsangie.com) and the installation crew had to work around me a bit but were very understanding about it.

The technician seemed to know what he was doing and went about his job thoroughly and efficiently. We noticed that he was accosted by one of our neighbors (who is a heating/AC technician) and when we asked him about it, he said they wanted to know why we called McCarthy. He didn't know that the reason was that McCarthy had such a good rating on Angie's List. We will be sure our neighbor knows that. I don't know if I'll hire them again. I really felt the costs could and should have been explained much, much more clearly and I thought what he did was a service call. I will check "yes" on hiring the company for a future job, but I'm really not sure that I will if we don't need them during the year that the service agreement covers.

The people I talked to on the phone about my thermostat were very polite and patient with me. I had never had a thermostat like this one and kept thinking that the problem was with how I was setting it. The repairmen who came to my house were very courteous, explained what they were doing, and why. When the problem turned out to be something different than thought, the repairman found he did not have that part on his truck. He called another truck to bring the part, and probably worked past quitting time to complete the repair. I was really grateful because as usual I had put the repair off until the last minute and the forecast was for very cold weather the next day.

It went great. Darin came to service our furnace and was prompt and helpful with any questions I had concerning the furnace and the heat pump.

Installation process was easy and professional. Service after installation, summer and fall checkups, have been very professional and thorough. This purchase and service have been a positive experience.

Our old furnace needed replaced in the middle of last winter unexpectedly. We were able to get them out right away. They said we needed to replace the old one. They worked about four hours. They took out the old one and installed the new. It works great we are very happy. I am glad they helped us immediately or we would have been cold.

We've used McCarthy's for a few years and they come twice a year to inspect or repair anything that's needed such as changing filters or coils etc. They are polite and reliable and our heating and air conditioning are both working well.

When the service guy comes to our house they slips on these booties before he comes in so he won t get the carpet dirty. We think that is very considerate of him. They do a good job and we would highly recommend them. They are a reputable company.

They looked at my air conditioning unit because it wouldn t come on. I thought I was going to have to pay thousands of dollars just to stay cool. I was so devastated, but when he came out and told me it was some little sensor on the inside of my thermostat I was relieved about the price. He changed the sensor and it has worked like new again.

We are one hundred percent satisfied with the job the men did. They worked hard, were on time and didn t leave any mess. We ve used this company for years, so we trust them and they are an honest company. We would recommend them; they are reliable, professional and knowledgeable.

We have a yearly contract with McCarthy's one Hour Heating & Air. We only had one problem with them. The last time they were here we had to call them back because they forgot to hook the fan back up. That shouldn't of been missed but overall we liked their service.

I would recommend McCarthy 1 Hour Heating A Conditioning very highly. They are always available to me if I ever have a problem. They are just terrific. They have very competitive prices, and I enjoy the referral program they offer.
