McCarthys One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning

They sent the service tech out to look at the old air conditioner. Then, he had to call the "sales team" to come out and tell me what it would cost. They were determined that I would have an Amana system. Then, the next day the installers came out and installed a new AC and furnace. They said they "temporarily" hooked up the electrical and an electrician would have to come out and finish the job. I was very clear with everyone that I talked to what my work hours were and when I could be here. The install guys were great, they did not make or leave a mess and they let me watch what they were doing. They did not talk down to me. I appreciate the respect shown. It is now nearly 3 weeks after the install and no electrician has come. When I call, and it has been multiple times, I am told he is moving or the only electrician they have. I paid them up front for the system and I expect the work to be completed before paying. He is supposed to be here Sat. the 14th. I do not appreciate a 4 step approach and the amount of time I had to miss from work. They need to review their system and try to make it more user friendly for the customer.

I've used them for 2 years. They were good and I don't have any complaints. The quality is also very good but htey're not a local company.

We're happy with McCarthy's service. The call in the fall and in the spring to schedule maintenance for either the heating or cooling system. They are always professional.

McCarthys One Hour has always been great. I've had excellent service from them for years. They're prompt and they're efficient. They explain things. They don't try to sell me services that I don't need. I belong to their club. I pay monthly which covers my two cleanings and services a year. I've compared them to other services and they're not expensive.

Does need some other work to be done at their time schedule and may wait until |air conditioner checkup.

He never tries to upsell me on anything I don't need and is perfectly honest with me about my unit. This company (and Jared) are extremely trustworthy, I trust Jared in my house alone and he is even on my Xmas list!

For the most part I am very satisfied with their service. We have been under contract with them for two years. A couple of times, needed repairs have been completed incorrectly, but they always sent someone out promptly to fix the problem without charging us again.

At that time we purchased an extended service policy. We have been happy with the unit and their service.

My most serious complaint is that I pay for this by monthly credit card charge, but they never call me to make an appointment for the service. I have to try to remember to call them -- and service on the heating system should be in September or October not December.

Today we had our thermostat set to 72 and throughout the day it was 64 degrees and decreasing inside. The furnace was not kicking on so we called McCarthy's at 7:15pm and they had a technician here by 8:15pm, the problem was fixed within 15 minutes and we had heat again! The Tech was Jon M. He was very friendly professional and explained everything. He took his shoes off when he came in the house and was very respectful. Great service, great responsiveness, and great experience.

Replaced a faulty electronic heating system filter.

They installed a new furnace and thermostat. I purchased all of this through them. They gave me three different furnace options and I chose a high efficiency furnace that would cut back on the bill. I spent more to save more over time. They were very responsive to my initial call and also quick with the installation. Once the new furnace was installed, they removed and hauled away the old one. They also cleaned up well after the work was done. I have used them for 15 years and have always found them very reliable and quick. They also gave a $50 gift certificate.

They checked the furnace and the heat pump, cleaned everything. Everything went fine.

All went well except when tech was asked to check thermostat gauge. He changed the batteries to the unit but when he left the unit kept saying it was time for service. This thermostat unit seems to baffle most of the techs who come and do routine checks. It was installed by McCarthy's when AC installed.

The serviceman cleaned the burners and jets. Checked the ignitor and the carbon monoxide levels. Checked the filter. Checked the power supply and the fan. Replaced the batteries in the thermostat. I was very pleased with the serviceman.

The furnace was "howling" when the fan was running. They failed to correct that problem even after a second visit. It seems they reset the speed on the furnace fan when doing the annual inspection and it causes a loud whistling noise two different technicians have failed to correct.

Jared the service tech arrived promptly, did a thorough job looking for the issue. He looked for possible lighting strike on he house and surrounding area. He decided that it must have hot the ground first since we had surge protectors and these should have stopped the damage. He quickly found the burned circuit boards and replaced them he then filled out all the paper work from insurance and told is to call h if we needed anything else. We were happy with the job.

tuneup went fine and problem was supposedly fixed. needed to return on 7/30/13 as a/c not functioning correctly again replaced part that was arching service door at no charge

I called them on Monday and the appointment was set up for Tuesday at 1:00. They called and said they had a technician available at 11:30 if that was ok with me. He came diagnosed the problem called the wholesaler got the part and installed it. the price for the part and labor is $550. I was asked if it was okay to go ahead and replace the part . I gave my ok now my furnace is working

These folks are the best when it comes to a problem with your furnace or AC. They come out any day of the week and even on holidays. They are always on time, clean, and very friendly.

Have had annual contract for the last few years. Cost of annual contract equals Angie's List coupons for individual checkups. Have had several technicians inspect furnace and a/c unit yearly. They have all been punctual, friendly, and have given me advice on economical use of both. Despite thoroughness of inspections they have not found anything wrong. This contrasts with a previous company that informed me on Christmas Eve that they could not turn my furnace back on because it had cracks in it. Since it was Christmas Eve I could not get a 2nd opinion. I appreciate the honesty of McCarthy's employees!

I was pleased because the installation of the heat pump unit did not conflict with our oil-burning furnace. They were very professional, prompt and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to saving money because we will be using less heating oil. I would recommend their services to others.
