Advanced Electrical Services

The estimate appointment was scheduled quickly. The estimate was thorough and the estimator took the time to discuss various options with me. I felt he really listened to my opinions and took my preferences into account when creating the estimate and work order. The electricians showed up on time. They were clean-cut and very friendly. They performed the work quickly, but took extra time planning the installation and made sure to review each important step with me prior to actually performing the first cut in our ceiling. They moved all of the furniture for us before, moved each piece back afterwards, and cleaned up everything before they left. I was amazed by the fact that they were able to install all 9 CAMS + 2 Eye CAMS + 3 switches for us without cutting additional holes in either our walls or our ceiling. It took extra time to plan this out correctly, and it was difficult to perform the install for us this way, but their skills and attention to detail saved us from the costly expense of having to patch and paint our ceiling or drywall after the CAM installation. I'm so glad we found Advanced Electrical Services, I will never use another electrician in the city of Omaha again!

Good job. Estimate and work completed by same individual. Company works on flat rate. Any delays or problems do not add to original job costs. Very prompt service; for scheduling and completing job.

I found them on Angie's list. I was impressed with the reviews I read. I also liked that they had an Angie's list seal of approval. My experience with them was excellent.

He wasn't able to fix the hot tub because it was more than an electrical issue. He was able to help me pinpoint what the problem was, so I could have the hot tub company come to have a look at it. He was professional and polite. He had come out to look at the hot tub twice and the first time it was working, I had to pay $99.

John came when he said he would, did what needed done and charged what he said it would cost. Pretty good combination.

Donovan, Doug and the whole team are just fantastic. They helped us so much. Our home was in horrible shape and we had so many issues reaching code with the City of Omaha - old electrical + new city codes + a lot of damage = a big nightmare. They helped us replacing wiring, electrical plugs, lighting, YOU NAME IT. They went back again and again to help us with odd jobs and just were incredible. We gave them a major mess of a house, and they fixed it. You could not ask for more professional folks to assist you with your electrical needs. Their pricing is fair, they are prompt and professional, and they keep you posted on every thing they do. There are no surprises. I would get an AES tattoo but I totally hate needles! :)

The service was great. They did the job while I was at work and I couldn't be happier.

I thought they were great! Doug was incredibly nice, personable, and professional. In fact, my grandson asked for Doug after all of the work was completed. I would definitely give this company my recommendation.

The first time they came out was not a good experience, but the owner made it right.

The job went fine. They were punctual. They were personable. We knew exactly what was going on when they were working for us. They were prompt. They were here on time. The man who came to work for us called one of his fellow electricians for some advice and they figured out the problem together. I cannot say much about the price because our costs were covered by insurance. I would use their services in the future also.

We had an outlet blow in our basement that connected the cable television and washing machine. The day I called for help was a Thursday and we had to wait till Saturday afternoon to get help. Our cable repair person found out that the problem was the bad outlet. The electrician was running late, but was very kind to call an hour in advance to say he would be late. Normally, I never see that type of courtesy given to the customer, and was very impressed.

We had a very good experience working with them. They were excellent.

Technician arrived on time, gave me an estimate and the option of doing the work right then, which costs less than having them come out again. I went ahead and had him do the work. He didn't run actual grounded wires as that is prohibitively expensive, but installed what are basically surge protectors on the outlets. They are now all three-pronged rather than the two-pronged outlets that they were before. It seemed a little expensive to me, but I suppose using an actual electrician for work in your house is always expensive and messing around with electrical outlets is something that an electrician should probably do! No complaints with the electrician or the work.

It went fine. The person, who came over, came on time and did a good job. He moved some furniture and put it back later after he was done. He also cleaned up after himself.

The verdict is still out on them. They got me an estimate, but it seems high to me. They were very professional. They got out right away for the estimate. I'm not sure if their price was high or not. I haven't had anybody else for an estimate. Everybody else has either not showed up or not called me back.

Some things have come up that have changed my direction at the moment.

He was very courteous and nice. I very happy with the work he did. His price was reasonable. I liked him and I will call him again if I need more electrical work done in the future.

the overall experience was excellent. the job was done professionally, including clean-up and removal of all debris and refuse. the cost was more than reasonable, and the technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. the job involved installing a ventilation hood for a 30" range. this included cutting into our plaster wall and running new wiring through a conduit. the hood had to be re-hung after unclear instructions failed to account for the chimney height. this didn't fluster the technician in any way, and he simply set about removing the hood and re-hanging it two inches lower to accommodate the chimney. there was no extra charge for this additional time, and he didn't rush to get it done (he simply called in and had AES reshuffle his schedule). in the end, everything was done professionally and properly, and the new hood works perfectly and looks great. i wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone needing electrical services.

Everything was great. Their staff is incredibly responsive and nice. We live in Indiana and had them do work on a home we own in Omaha. They kept us in the loop as work progressed and were very patient with our many phone calls and requests for updates. Of all the contractors we looked at, their prices were highest at first, but what we realized was that they were quoting us for all of the potential work they may need to do. Others were just giving us a low estimate and then were going to charge us more for anything else that may come up as work progressed. I HIGHLY recommend Advanced Electrical Services. (P.S. As a woman, I have to say they were really respectful. I can't stand contractors that treat women like they're clueless about home repairs and they never did that.)

Went great, work was completed quickly, professionally, with very friendly service. I would definately use them again and would highly recommend them to others. The fix for the outdoor fixture was not part of my original request, but the electrician actually came back later in the day to do this for us. The only (slight) negative is that I thought the pricing was a bit high, but I was given the cost up front.

They did same day service which I really appreciate and I will hopefully have them do additional work again here shortly. All the people that I dealt with at AES are on the ball & friendly. No reason to look any further, they did a great job!

Upgrading the entire service was the most expensive part. Unlike another contractor who gave an estimate but said nothing else, the AE electrician who did the estimate was honest and said that it was not critical that we upgrade the box. So, they saved us some money on that point. AES was responsive overall, but I gave them a B for this, only because an emailed question following the job was not answered. When I followed up by phone, they called back promptly.
