They took time to go over the job and gave me an estimate before doing any work. I knew the cost upfront. Two techs came out and spent quite a bit of time on the work. They even moved my hot tub to hide the electrical wires. They did a very good job!

They were good. They kept under their quote. The guy was professional and helpful. The price was a little higher than I thought it should be.

The work progressed professionally, smoothly, and efficiently from start to finish, and the expertise and professionalism of this company are evident from initial contact with the owner, Tobias Sommer, through the workmanship of all three individuals who performed the work in our home April 22-23, 2010. Efforts were coordinated and maximized; we felt comfortable with the work being done and with whom was performing the work and our pets, home, and surroundings were respected and protected throughout the job. Donovan, Doug, and (I apologize for forgetting his name) the third worker well represented both the company and their trade. They went above and beyond to ensure the work was performed to our expectations, as well as to safety and electrical codes. One example of "above and beyond" occurred as they discovered the light kit we purchased for installation was defective (globe was cracked). We didn't have transportation that day to go to the merchant to exchange it (and they had already done the wiring for installation), so Donovan and Doug took the globe with them on their lunch break and exchanged it with the store's manager on our behalf. It's not often that we call on outside contractors to assist us with home maintenance. We believed, however, that electrical work should be done by professionals, albeit we were concerned in our initial search as to how we could determine the best contractor and - in these economical times - the best price while achieving quality work. Advanced Electrical Services exceeded our expectations in all areas: initial visit, whole-house audit, estimates, actual costs, workmanship, professionalism, and care and respect of our home, and we recommend this company, both owner and staff electricians, to the highest level. We already have future work planned with this company.

They did a great job overall. Donovan came the same day we called to provide a quote and was able to send Andrew out the same afternoon to do one of the jobs. The 2nd job was scheduled for two days later. Donovan spent a lot of time going over the quote with us and even talked us out of one job that he said wouldn't be worth the expense. Not often a company puts the customer's interest over making a buck! They showed up exactly when they said they would. The first day, the guy that came didn't have a dropcloth in his truck and apologized, asking if we had one, which we provided. He cleaned up the mess when done. During the second job, which involved installing some new wires in the attic, one of the guys accidently drilled the wrong spot and ended up making a good size hole in the wall of an adjacent room. He apologized and patched the hole. My wife asked him to patch the holes left behind from the fixture they removed as long as he had the spackle out. He initially balked and said they don't normally do that. To which I thought, "do you normally drill holes in the wrong room?" He did end up patching the holes and they did a great job mounting the new fixtures. Something to know about this company's quotes. They do "flat rate" pricing and the price on the quote is what you'll pay regardless of the amount of time it takes to complete. We had two jobs, priced at $165 and $190. The first job took one guy less than an hour to do so the price may have been a little high. However, I think the second job ended up being more complicated than they had initially estimated and it took 2 guys a few hours to do. So in the end, I think we paid a fair price for the two jobs. Overall, I was very impressed with the responsiveness and quality of work. My only complaint is that I would have expected them to be a little more apologetic and eager to fix things when they put a huge hole in the wrong room.

They were inexpensive, they were on time, and they were very courteous. They were knowledgeable and willing to work with us to get the problem fixed perfectly.

My husband and I attempted to install a ceiling fan ourselves and botched the job horribly. The next day I called Advanced Electrical Systems and they were able to send someone that afternoon. When Donovan and Andrew arrived they were professional, courteous and personable and were able to fix the ceiling fan and get it up and running beautifully. That same day they gave me an estimate for updating our old, 1950s electrical panels and upgrading the system. AES does flat-rate pricing, so the price they quote is the price you pay. We decided to go for it and they came back two days later and spent the day upgrading our system. Not only does the new electrical panel look great (much neater and more streamlined than what we had before), but we now have twice as much power and room to grow. Donovan and Andrew were great to work with - polite and respectful and great at explaining the process both before and after the work was done. I've already locked them down to put in new lights in our master bathroom. Great experience!

They showed up here when they said they would and it was nice to not have to wait for them. They didn't leave any mess and the light fixture looked very nice. They were referred to me by a neighbor. I can t comment on the price because I am still waiting for the bill. They did a wonderful job and they were very prompt.
