Description of Work: We needed the gas pipe to be grounded per new code in order to sell our property. Scott came out at the end of the day to provide the service for us. He was quick and professional and explained what he had to do. He gave me a background as to why this was required and made me feel very comfortable that he was making the house safer. Description of Work: I had contacted two other residential electrical contractors regarding the possible rewiring of our house. I think it was Donovan I spoke with by phone, who patiently listened to my explanation of our electrical issues. We scheduled a visit for an estimate. Donovan was honest and said it was probably not cost effective to upgrade our circuit to 220V. He did use the visit to repair a circuit downstairs, and he also installed a second outlet in the kitchen so we could run the microwave on a circuit separate from the refrigerator's.

Description of Work: Scott Lighting & Electric, LLC is now Masters Electric, LLC. I had a list of about 4 electrical wiring and receptacle maintenance items. Half of the items involved receptacles on the exterior of the home. Most electrician would likely treat these items as nuance items and try talk me out of the repairs. James Jones the electrician did the work in timely fashion with attention to the appearance details I described as important. He was also mindful of not waking my grandchildren who were napping. He was friendly, punctual, clean and competent. He also surprising had all of the specific materials I wanted on his truck. The cost was very fair for such professional electrical services.

Description of Work: I bought a ceiling fan to put in the kitchen. Months went by as I looked at the nice fan in the nice box because I just couldn't bring myself to install it. I didn't want to hire an electrician - I got tired of the open-ended cost (not to mention the patronizing attitude). So... many years ago, I took a couple electrical wiring classes and have been doing my own minor electrical jobs around my house. But since then I have hung several ceiling fans and know what a BEAR they can be in terms of time and trouble. And so I checked up on Angies List and picked Advanced Electrical and am so very glad I did. Not only do they have specific pricing for ceiling fans, but I got the nicest hardest-working electrician ever. The poor man encountered all kinds of problems but just continued to try to find ways to solve them. I'd have been tearing my hair out and the box would have been hidden under the bed had I tried to do it myself. Not only that, but once the fan was up and running, he noticed it had a slight wobble. I tried to convince him it was absolutely fine - after all, I've lived with a great many less-than-perfect home improvement projects that I've done myself. But he insisted on redoing it and took the whole thing down and figured out how to solve that problem too. I have worked for myself and know the pressure of the clock ticking when you're working jobs that go too long but he never did try to find a short-cut. I know I got a real bargain out of the deal and I couldn't be happier with the result, both because I love the job that was done and also that I didn't have to do it. I will definitely start my "to do" list for other electrical jobs I've been postponing. I am so impressed with the workmanship and professionalism that I will sing their praises every chance I get.

Description of Work: They hung a tv over my fireplace because the existing spot didn't fit the tv I had. Great job. On time. I've had then do electrical work.... Fix my garbage disposal, change out electrical outlets. All reasonable cost and done properly.
