Excellent! The HVAC technician was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I actually had the same HVAC technician come out for a service issue in the fall of 2014. We were having problems with one of our furnaces, and he quickly assessed and fixed the problem. I was so impressed with the service that I requested to have him come back to service our units when we signed up for the maintenance agreements. A-1 United technicians DO NOT TRY TO SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DO NOT NEED! I really appreciate their "non-selling" status. So many times, we have had providers come out to our home to check or fix an issue who end up attempting to sell us on a new AC unit. A-1 United fixes the problems without trying to sell, sell, sell with every service call. I really appreciate that about this company.

It took 3 days for them to find time to service and existing customer. They were late for their appointment by 1 hour. They never called saying they would be late. I had to call them. The technician came out and missed that the unit was frozen. He only wanted to sell me a new AC. I wanted more options to fix it. After some convincing, he agreed to add coolant. The AC still isn't cooling properly, so they missed something. When I called them about it, they said that it would take 2-3 days for a technician to come out forcing me to juggle my schedule.

Heater went out and they came the next day to fix the pilot light. Then the repair man informed me about a deal they had for $10-15 more I could get my AC tuned in the summer. I thought why not and luckly we did. Summer time came and the AC wasn?t blowing cold. I called for my free tune up and within a week they showed up and the AC blows 30 Degrees colder in about 1 hour of the guy working on it. I swear it cut down the cost of our cooling bill about 20 bucks a month (ref from last year). I plan on calling them again as needed.

I called in Friday (January 2nd) just to check on the status of the order. The person who answered the phone said that she didn't have the paperwork in front of her but she would have someone check it and get back to me later that day. After not hearing anything from them all day (I had my cell phone on me and my answering machine was set up on the home phone) I called back late that afternoon to make another inquriy. I talked to another person but got the same story the second time around; they told me that someone would get back to me. I made another call Saturday morning after they opened and got the same story another time. I begged them to just tell me the status of the parts because this was a rental and my tennant was without heat. Once again, I didn't hear anything all day so I called back Saturday afternoon and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told that they couldn't put me through to a supervisor. I then asked to speak with the owner and was told that he was unavailable but he would get back to me. The person who answered the phone said that she would turn the order over to him. I called twice more on Sunday and got the same story each time. They explained to me that they "had customers without heat who were ahead of me". I reminded them that I was one of those customers without heat but still the story didn't change. I finally got frustrated and called another company out to do the work on Monday. The other company was able to come out right away on Monday to make the repairs. As soon as they arrived, I finally got a call back from A-1 wanting to scheduled. I explained that they ran out of time and that I had chosen another provider to do the work. My tennant called me on Tuesday or Wednesday to let me know that A-1 had dropped off a bill for me! I was very, very disappointed in them. I feel that I gave them more than enough time to take care of everything. I'm not really sure how everything got so screwed up with company that has such great ratings.

Weekend emergency. Both Techs were very professional and knowledgeable. Explained problem and resolution. Cost of parts somewhat high, but service makes up for it.

Very good, professional and best products for the money. I looked at 5 companies. They did a great job, highly recommend. A+ for A1.

I had an 8:30 --9:00 am appointment. I was called ahead of arrival to notify me the technicians were on the way. They seemed knowledgeable about any question I asked them. They were pleasant and I was comfortable with them. The only thing I would suggest would be to wear booties covering their shoes.

The company was slow to contact me and set up the appointment. They claimed they thought I was going to contact them to set up the appointment. That didn't make any sense as the rep emailed me saying the local office would contact me. Once finally contacted, it was after my desired dates of service I indicated when initially scheduling on Angie's list. The technician was prompt, professional and very thorough. During the course of his work the string from the light fixture broke to where we cannot turn off the light bulb now. The tech indicated he talked to his boss and they would pay for an electrician to come out and repair the fixture since he broke it. It has been two weeks and I have yet to be contacted about repairing the fixture. I would not have been concerned about the light fixture but they said they would get it fixed. If a company makes a promise like that I would expect them to follow through. I will probably use them in the future but only because the technician was good. The customer service and management were not what I expected.

Went well. Service man had to leave to go get parts. We thought he'd be back within an hour but came back 2 hours later. But once he was back, the work was completed in a timely manner.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Appointment was scheduled same day, technician (Eric) was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable and spent extra time explaining the repair and future maintenance recommendations. Would use again and recommend without hesitation.

The provider was professional and arrived at all appointments on time. We were not able to be there during instillation, and were impressed when we came home and saw the work that was done. The pricing was fair and the salesman did not try to pitch upgrades that we did not need or want. Overall A-1 did a great job and I would recommend considering them for heating or A/C work.

Professional all the way. Our old unit broke down on July 4th weekend. They had someone out there quickly to service the unit. Once it was determined it could not be repaired (original unit installed in 1987), a salesman was out either that same day or the next day. Our salesman was professional, knowledgeable and as mentioned in other reviews did not attempt to oversell a unit for our home. Again the technician who installed out unit was professional, knowledgeable.

A1 was great. They were very upfront with their estimate and the process to replace our HVAC systems. Damon was pleasure to work with and reminds me why I like living in the midwest. The guys called before they came and came on the days they said they would come. They were all very professional and polite, and left no trace of a mess anywhere. They have already come out for a follow up visit and again answered all our questions. While it is never a pleasure to need a new HVAC setup, these guys made it very painless. I highly recommend them.

Same day service, within a few hours of the call. Professional, understanding, the replacement was quick, the service rep was friendly and knowledgeable enough to get the failed part determined and replaced, including drive time, within the hour.

They were great! The furnace is working properly. Other than a little welding, you wouldn't even know they were in your home! They were VERY nice to work with.

They were right on time, replaced the gas valve which caused the mother board to quit working. By the time I would have replaced both parts, I was almost 1/2 way to a new furnace. They gave me a quote for a 95% efficient furnace. I did end up going with another vendor because I am also in the middle of having to replace the roof. I might have had A-1 replace the furnace had I been given other choices. They are a little pricier but very professional.

We got 3 estimates and A-1 was a little cheaper than the other two. The estimator, Damon, arrived exactly on the scheduled time and was thoroughly professional and very helpful. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need, which was refreshing. The installation was scheduled for 2 business days after we made our final decision. The installers arrived on time and were very professional, creating very little mess, which they cleaned up. They took time to show us the operation of the furnace and the new digital thermostat. A very pleasant and easy transaction all around. I highly recommend A-1 United.

Called the top seven heating and air conditioning company's, (overall grade of A, and maximum number of recent reviews). In every way A1 United Heating and Air proved to be a top notch company, I am very pleased with the quality and value of their service.

Provided a two week window within which work could be done; work completed toward end of window. House was power washed and prepped before painting.

Set up an estimate appointment for 4pm. Left work early to meet them. No one showed up. No one called. Nothing.
