Description of Work: Steam away cleaned and used protectant on 7 areas. We have 6 boys and 2 dogs and the carpet was filthy. They were prompt and professional and the carpet looked almost new when it dried. The best part is that, two months later it still looks pretty good!

Description of Work: I read about Steamaway on Angie's List and since it had been about 3 years since I had hired a professional to clean my carpets, I decided to give them a call to get an estimate. The person that answered the phone was very polite and professional and told me he had someone available at my convenience to come out and measure so that they could give me a better estimate of the cost. The young man measured and they quoted me a price which I thought was more than fair so I agreed to have them clean my carpets (traffic areas in livingroom, 2 bedrooms, family room in basement, along with a hallway and stairs) the following week. They arrived on schedule in the morning and while the carpets took longer to dry than I had hoped (still damp to the touch by evening, but we could walk on them), they looked absolutely wonderful! We have two dogs and one cat so I get plenty of use from the carpet shampooer that I own, but after having them professionally cleaned, they look so so much better!! It has now been more than a month after they were cleaned and NO spots have reappeared, so I am extremely satisfied.

+ -1 moreWe had a Groupon type of thing and that's why we called Steamaway of Nebraska and I was just checking on Angie's List to see. We paid $50 for $100 worth of cleaning. They were fine and they just did it over the phone. It's probably more of a rough estimate or something. I just told them what the square footage and stuff was and he said it would be this much money.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for five years. I guess an example of why I use them is that the last time they were here they cleaned the carpets and everything looked beautiful when they left. Then two spots came up again, which will happen with carpeting as it dries. I called them and they came right back and re-cleaned that area.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for quite a while. I like them because they leave the carpets almost dry when they leave. They take so much moisture out that it is fantastic. They do a good job. I have had other carpet people come in and your carpets are soggy for days. I am very happy with them, and how happy I am depends on which guys come out. Some guys are good and some aren't; some guys take the time and others don't, but I am very happy even when I am not quite as happy, and that is a good thing. They are very careful. They do whatever you tell them to do. I sometimes have them move furniture and sometimes I don't, and they just do whatever you want. I am getting ready to use them again soon.

I must admit it was a major task to clean the carpets in the kids play room there were some patches of our carpet missing due to the kids. Steam A Way not only moved the furniture around, they also patched up the holes in the kids room. They were very professional and polite and just did a really good job. We received a 40% discount which brought the price of cleaning our carpets down to $150.

+ -1 moreI had a very good experience with them; they got a few stains out that I thought were there forever. I was also surprised that my carpet was dry so quickly because with most companies it's wet the entire day but with Steam-A-Way it was only damp for a couple hours and I was able to walk on it during that time. They have very hi-tech equipment and competent employees.
