We live in an older home in the Dundee/Memorial Park area. We had three different doors with different problems with the doorknob and/or locks. I called Shane based on Angie's list reviews. He was very quick responsive and was able to get us scheduled within a couple of business days. Shane was able to fix the problems very quickly. We asked if he could fit in checking .out a seal on a safe and adding a new door knob/lock on our back door. Even though he had another appointment that he had to be at within 45 minutes, he was able to take care of replacing the door knobs well patiently and quickly. Shane was prompt, courteous, professional, and his prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend Shane and Elmer's Lock and Safes. Very, very knowledgeable about locks and safes.

It went well. He gave me a quote over the phone and was over a couple of hours later. But he had to adjust his quote due to extra work on the door. No problem and understood why the increase. The key that was made for this lock did not fit so Shane went up and beyond to make it work. He tried several options and all went very well. I found it very reasonably priced and I definitely would recommend Elmer's Lock and Safe.

Shane showed up on time, completed the work according to instruction and charged a very reasonable rate. I couldn't be more pleased.

I had two electronic locks installed in place of existing locks. The provider was professional and arrived on time, but neither of the installed locks function as they should. The first lock was installed correctly but the re-key went wrong and I ended with a door that couldn't be opened with any key. I was advised by the locksmith who did the work to take the lock back to the store, get a new one, and install it myself. The second lock was installed and the key works on that one. Unfortunately, the auto-lock function of the electronic lock doesn't work because the latch was not set properly. Overall, they may be good with traditional locks but lack expertise and skills with electronic locks.

On time, friendly and fast. Work was done at a fair price. We will definitely call again the next time we need this kind of work done.

It went great, Elmer himself showed up right on time, I showed him what needed to be done and he went straight to work. When it came time to the garage door he put in and heavy duty handle with a stronger lock plate to help prevent a brake in to the garage. it treated my home as if it was his home he was working on. We went through all the doors to make sure they all worked and one door was not up to his expectations so he worked on it till it was right. I had duplicate keys made and he gave me some advise that no one else had given me. Hold on to one of the originals and always use that one to make duplicates if you need more, in other words don't make copies from copies.

On the day of the appointment, Shane arrived on time. He reviewed exactly what I wanted done, told me how much each door would cost and proceeded to change all the locks. I would use this company again. It was a very pleasant experience. The whole took about an hour.

Locksmith arrived as scheduled and proceeded to review what was to be done. He removed locks to be re-keyed and did work onsite in his van. He also removed a 4th door lock and made a set of keys for it. Work was performed quickly and accurately.
