Eden Tree Pros

I called and set up an appt. for an estimate after reading the positive reviews here on Angie's List. The estimate went well. We had 3 other estimates and Eden Pros price was very competitive with the others. What set them apart to us was their professionalism, they are insured, and the people seemed very down to earth and they didn't try to talk us into doing anything we weren't interested in doing. And, they gave us a 5% Angie's List discount without us even having to ask. The receptionist called about 1 week ahead to let us know when they were coming to do the work, weather permitting. They showed up as scheduled. They were very attentive to detail. I had several neighbors compliment their work on our trees. One had seen them working and was impressed at how careful they were to make them look good. They cleaned up the debris well. We are very happy at how the trees look. The only thing I wish is that they had removed another little stub from a bush that wasn't on the estimate. They said they might if they have time but I guess they didn't (not their fault). Overall, everyone from the receptionist to the arborists were great to work with and it was a wonderful experience. If we need work on our trees again, we will definitely use them and would highly recommend them!

I hired Eden due to reviews on Angies's list and a neighbor who was pleased with their work and their clean up. They were more expensive than two other estimates (and less than another). Corey seemed very knowledgeable and gave me different options for several of the items. He broke down the estimate into each removal, trim, or stump grinding so I could decide what I wanted. Crew was polite and professional. They were here most of the day and worked steadily. I was gone when they left but was very pleased with the cleaning job when I returned. The yard looked bare with trees gone or trimmed, but outside of that you would not know they had been here.

The crew showed up on the day scheduled and got right to work. The crew was very professional and friendly. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. Another company estimated the work to be done would take 3/4 of a day to complete and $600 more. Eden Tree Pros were done in 2 1/2 hrs. Will definitely use them again and will gladly recommend them.

Excellent job! We've used Eden Tree Pros every other year to trim/thin our trees. We are always happy with the job they do. Wouldn't use anyone else.

Everything went great. The team of workers went right to work. They were well organized, and had the job done and cleaned up in about two hours. The trees look much better.

The two men that came to do the actual job were great. They explained what they were going to do, asked if they could remove part of my fence so they could get the entire stump, etc. They were very professional and courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. If I had not seen it myself, I would not have known they were there. I wish I could say the same about the Salesperson. I work from home so I scheduled the appointment to do the estimate around my work schedule. He arrived about 40 minutes early. I was on a phone call with my job and could not excuse myself to answer the door. He proceeded to look a the backyard, went back to his truck, drew up the estimate then came back and left it on the door. Mind you, I was still on a work call so I could see all of this happening but could not say anything to him. He had come and gone by 11:45 without speaking to me at all and the appointment was scheduled for noon. I was frustrated because I had questions for him about some potential additional work. I called the office and told them this had happened. They gave me his cell phone number. When I called him I told him I was working from home and did not intentionally ignore him ringing the doorbell but that I had scheduled the appointment intentionally at noon. He simply said he was sorry and laughed it off. I hired them to do the original scope of work because their bid was reasonable however, I will find someone else to do the remaining tree removal. I think it's important for all members of a team to recognize and respect the importance of people's time.

Owner and arborist John Hovendick came on the scheduled day, made an examination of our tree and then assured us that no treatment was needed, all free of charge. In addition, he looked at a second shrub we had not previously planned for him to view, also at no charge. He was particularly informative and very congenial. We'll definitely call him again should we need assistance. A minor irritant was that the office girl gave us bad information about his visit. After informing John of this, he thanked us for telling him and promised he would speak to her about this.

They trimmed my Maple tree, removing all branches above a line in my driveway, and within 10 feet of my house. Then they trimmed my Willow tree of all branches above the hedge at my house (and beyond, over the neighbors driveway) and my neighbors to the east, and they also removed some dead wood off the Willow. The price was reasonable considering all the trimming they had to do, and the job they did was completely fantastic. They trimmed everything to my specifications, and then they cleaned up the yard completely. I couldn't possibly be more happy with the finished job.

This is part three of a three part review. Previous reviews were on removal of tree and stump grinding. This part concerns planting of replacement tree. Received quote on planting a replacement tree on 5/14/2014. On May 30, 2014 heard from their arborist that they should be able to plant the tree the following week.. It actually happened two weeks later on June 13, 2014. Considering all of the storms we had been having this delay seemed reasonable to me. Three of their workers came, cleared the rock from the location where the tree would be planted and dug down to create the hole for the 2" maple tree. After they were done, you couldn't find a speck of dirt or a misplaced rock. Based on my three encounters with Eden Tree Pros, I feel very comfortable saying that they showed consistent professional work. Great job and would definitely use them again.

Excellent, staff were polite, arrived on time, cleaned up well after cutting down a very large tree. Lowest bid too! Many neighbors have used Eden and they were very satisfied too!

Corey came on time and worked with me to give me a custom work order that fit my needs. The crew came out and cut down the trees with speed and attention to detail.

John quickly responded to our phone call and arrived for a quote. He walked me to the backyard and clearly explained everything they would plan to do. He answered all of my questions and gave me an approximate time to complete the job. They actually arrived a day earlier than planned--they were nice enough to call first to make sure that would not be a problem. The tree turned out how he said I should expect it to. I also appreciated that they did not leave a mess of leaves and small twigs in my landscape.

This is part two of a three part review. The first part involved removal of a Canadian Cherry damaged in the storm. I called them on 5/12/2014 and by late afternoon 5/13/2014 they had removed the tree (previous review). As part of the same proposal, they were to grind the remaining stump down 8-12" below grade. With the amount of work they had from the storm, they thought it would be the following week. However, they were here on 5/16 in the afternoon and very professionally removed the rock and the stone edge liner and moved their giant sump grinder over and had it ground down in no time. We had to leave while they were working. When we checked it out, you couldn't tell the stump was there much less that they were there. Not even a wood chip left behind! Part three of this three part review will happen when they plant the replacement tree.

This entire situation began one year ago when my property line was found to be 16" into my (future) neighbor's yard! They were goimg to buid a new home and wanted me to move two mature Aspen trees , some plants and two berms back 16'. The Taylor Juniper was lost months ago due to Bag Worms. The berms and trees were moved by my regular gardener. Now enters Eden Tree Pro: I ordered a 6'-7' Taylor Juniper tree. On the work order, there was the removal of one dead Aspen. and to fill the hole with top soil where the dead tree was, and re-seed or sod the area. It has been a week since the planting of the tree and no sod or seed. Also a violent storm came thru blowing down the Juniper. It seemed that the second items on the work order was a surprise to the work crew. I called the office manager as she told me the work order had the planting of grass seed/sod. I mentioned the Juniper got blown over in the storm and needed re-planting and staking. She kindley made note about my concerns and told me she would see it was communicated to the crew. I'm still waiting for all items to be completed. I will probably keep using Eden Tree Pros for taking care to all the trees on my property. I feel confident about their expertise! They are good people to work with! They are so close to a total "A+" rating. Consider all the "B"- ratings as "B+"

Called on Monday 5/12/2014 to provide estimate. On Tuesday 5/13 the utilities and been marked as a result of Eden Trees Pro call. By 4:30 pm on Tuesday, the crew was here and removed the tree down to a stump. All debris was cleaned up and they were done within an hour. Very Professional and extremely proficient. They will be out here again next week to grid the stump down below grade and I am planning on hiring them to plant a new 2 inch tree to replace the one damaged. Couldn't ask for better service particularly after the storms we have had in Omaha and Elkhorn this week!

Eden Tree Pros was exceptional. We had been quoted in early November, but knew they were not going to be able to come until December. I called in December, and we scheduled the time. It was one of the first bitterly cold days. They called and let me know that they were in the neighborhood early, and asked if it would be ok to come early. (Plus for that!) There were three men doing the trimming, hauling, and cleanup. They did an excellent job! I would not hesitate to call them for any future tree needs that I may have. I have, and will continue to, recommend them to others.

Perfect! Right on time, performed beyond expecttions, very polite and helpful. Cleaned up everything thoroughly after they finished the job.

Excelent! Arrived early, (8:15am), asked a few questions and did the entire job in one day. (We were expecting two.) Cleaned up yard exceptionally, and stacked all wood left for us.

The estimate was provided quickly and the date for the work was scheduled in a range of dates to allow for weather. The workers did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned the yard when they were done.

Eden crew presented themselves on time and in a professional manner. The guys were very personable and spent time with me describing what they were doing and how long it would take. When I returned home at the end of the day, all the agreed upon trees had been removed and the cleanup was impeccable. I couldn't even tell they had been there.

They showed up when scheduled and all the young men were very professional, cleaned up all debris and hauled away. Would do service with them again!!

Two of the Eden Tree Pros crew showed up in the morning, introduced themselves and explained what they were instructed to do. They then asked if their assignment was what I expected. I pointed out a few particular concerns on the property and they began their work. All three of the major trees involved one of them to rope climb into the tree for the services. They performed their work with applicable safety gear and care. All trees on the property were professionally trimmed and any low hanging branches were removed to provide the requested 10-12 foot elevation off of the ground. They also removed a smaller 2 inch evergreen at the ground that was being squeezed out of sunlight by two other trees on the property. They cleaned up the yard very good after and chipped all smaller branches on the spot. Overall, excellent communications, great attitudes, willingness to address any questions I had and they did a fantastic job once again. This is the second time that I used this company for tree related work on my property and I will use them again, as needed. I highly recommend Eden Tree Pros for your Personal Professional Arborists needs.

From the initial contact, Corey Dunkle was knowledgable, courteous and professional. I initially asked for an estimate on the two dead spruce trees and a recommendation on the silver maple. He got back to me promptly with an estimate and included an option to include the removal and treatment of the volunteer mulberries. I knew this needed to be done, but had not requested it, so I appreciated his inclusion of their removal as an option. The work was done within a short time, and the clean-up was thorough. the price was in line with another estimate, but Eden Tree Pros was chosen for their professionalism and the inclusion of the mulberry tree removal. During the process, I also spoke with office staff -- they, too, were efficient, courteous and professional.
