Laney's Inc.

I called Laney's for service on my central air conditioner as it wasn't working. We had no cool air coming out of the vents. It would be a week before they could come look at it. One week later, the air conditioner tech named Troy arrived. He diagnosed the problem and left my residence, presumably to get 2 fuses. I was shocked he wouldn't have fuses in his van, since they are small. He returned and replaced 2 fuses and sprayed out the leaf debris in the central A/C unit. He gave me a 10 minute sales pitch about an entire-home dehumidifying unit he could install in my basement. He charged me a shockingly high price for the A/C repair which I paid on the spot per their requirements. He left but called me twice in the next week to offer me a free trial of an entire-home dehumidifying unit, which i disregarded. When Laney's customer satisfaction rep called me to ask about my satisfaction, I told her I thought I had been grossly overcharged and would like to speak to the service manager. She said she would give him a message to call me but he never called. Interestingly, his name was also Troy, but a different male than the one who did the repair.

When I got there, I had to wait for quite some time. The receptionists looked confused and didn't seem to be able to understand what I was needing. The representative who spoke with me made me feel pressured to buy. I did schedule an appointment with them, but cancelled the next day because I found someone who could put in a new water heater sooner and for much less. In spite of my cancellation, they called to confirm my appointment. Also, in spite of my cancellation, they sent me an evaluation of service and a discount card for future service. They seem to have organizational issues and lack good communication. I might consider them for something in the future, but it is not likely unless it is an emergency.

Discovered water in my basement and detected where leak was coming from on my water heater drain valve. For some reason the valves are plastic on most water heaters and break easy! Fortunately they are fairly inexpensive. I called two local larger businesses when they opened and the one that answered I went with. They couldn't come out until that afternoon or the next day! After cancelling that order I called Laney's and they had someone there in a couple hours! Meanwhile I had drained my water heater and started to repair the water heater myself and brock the drain valve off in the water heater! The gentlemen fixed my mistake and had new drain installed in no time. Laney's charges 39.99 to have the plumber come but that is incorporated into bill if charge is more that that. With the 10% coupon I had in my phone book he was in and out in about an hour and my total was under $90.00! One of the competitors was $100 minimum and a $15 truck charge! Way to go Laney's!!!

Double charged for items that were in original bid. ( Double check your statement as mine was inaccurate by hundreds.) Pipe on main floor started to leak and ran into basement ruining walls and ceiling and unpacked boxes as I had just moved in. Called them on a Thursday to tell them and was told and quot; We can't send anyone out until Monday. The water continued to run until they finally came. Much more...I never would have believed this all could happen if it hadn't happened to me! They did say they would cover costs of basement repair. Installed bathroom fixtures too deep into the wall so that after the wall tile was installed extenders were needed to reach the faucets etc. which now jut out from the wall instead of being tight up against the tile. Had to fill with caulk - looks awful.

Old furnance died in mid-November, so was in need of one immediately. Had four companies out to do estimates. We anticipated Laney's would be the highest, but they were not.They were knowledgeable about energy rebates, and they filled out the paperwork for those. Because we had no heat, they were able to move us to the front of the line, in fact, did some work the same day we called to accept their estimate. They finished ahead of schedule, were pleasant to work with (both salesperson and installers), and offered a very reasonable lifetime warranty.

I am a new home owner. I was experiencing back up in the kitchen sink. I had received several mailings from Laney's so decided to try them. I had high expectation based upon the reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. The Technician, John T. was prompt, professional and courteous. He explained the problem and the plumbing facts of the problem. He was clean, tidy, used shoe covers and was a pleasure to deal with. Especially since he was able to clear the back up. In addition, due to a somewhat unusual plumbing set up, they will document the issue for any future questions. I requested yearly clean out on this pipe to keep it running clear. In addition, John gave me some suggestions of things that I can do to keep the pipe from clogging again.

They check everything out and send you reminder cards for servicing. They are prompt and will call if they're going to be late. It's nice to deal with someone who has a good customer service. I would give them an A for everything.

Had our AC unit stop working the night of July 3rd. We called them July 4th and were able to get someone to our place by that afternoon. After some short diagnosis work our technician, Chris, had our unit up and working by replacing the capacitor. He had the whole unit running in about an hour and also filled our R-22. He worked fast and professionally.

We highly recommend them. They are always dependable and polite. They are always on time. They always have competitive pricing and they always give us options for improvements down the line. We always know what it is going to cost us if we want to improve the system that we currently have so we can budget for it. We think they are a really dependable group. They are never overpriced. They are really good on responsiveness. They are usually punctual. There has only been one time after a heavy rain when they were dealing with a lot of issues with flooding. They always take their shoes off or put booties over their shoes. They are very careful. They are just nice people. We will absolutely continue using them.

Laney's came to my home for annual maintenance and set up of my air conditioning unit. I have used this company in the past and prefer to use them due to the way they bill me for services.

They are very good. They came out and fixed our furnace at 11:00 at night and they didn't charge us extra to come out late.

I got a bunch of quotes of which I awarded to Leney's. I plan to use them in about a month. We taking out all and putting in fresh. We don't have to redo the walls and stuff. We are replacing a shower with a tub. They are going to come back after we get the tub and things and stuff. That would cost $2300 in total. They are going to redo plumbing for the shower, bathroom and the kitchen. It is all in a small confined area. It is going to be really nice. It is all the labor. I will use them again in the future.

Jeremy did an excellent job. He was thorough, answered any questions and concerns I had. Very neat and clean.

When I called Laney's I told them I had an electric furnace. They sent a technician that knew nothing about electronic furnaces. I had to take it apart for the technician to look at. Laney's tried to bill me when the technician did not do any work on my furnace.

Laney's came to our house and took out our old water heater and put in a new one. 'They were professional from start to finish.

They are prompt, and know what they are doing. I plan to use this company again in the future.
