They supposedly clean sewer line, and told the should be replaced, the worker said he would get hold of a guy at to give us a bid which never happen,so we waited a week and called another plumber he came out his camera in the sewer line and he had me look at the line while camera went through and you couldn't even tell he went through it still a lot of roots,so my called them to tell about the sewer not being cleaned out,so asked for our money since they didn't do the job they were suppose to,and it's been a month and still haven't heard anything.I would call them again.

Went well. For all of the work done, over the course of three days for several hours at a time, it was still very reasonably priced. Let than I had budgeted.
Description of Work: Several wiring updates in my new house. Replaced mis-sized breaker, a couple of overhead light fixtures, some outlets, other wiring issues that had built up over the last fifty+ years of other owners and what were probably owner/handyman wiring.

The guy was very good at explaining and providing information.
Description of Work: They came out to give me a second opinion as the first company had told me I needed a whole new system (heating & cooling) that would cost me about $13,000. Laney's quoted me prices for parts and new system that were no where near as expensive as the first company, nor was the situation as urgent as the first company had led on.

It was a nightmare, other plumbers had to come in and correct things. They were the one's that I hired to come in and do the plumbing. Due to a flood in 2009 I had to rebuild a house in 2010 and 2011. They said that they couldn't hook-up from the old house to the new house because it didn't meet code. When they came to do the project they hooked up to the old house's plumbing system which, doesn't meet code. To this day, I don't have an occupancy permit to live in this house because the plumbing doesn't meet code. It's been a nightmare. They said if I took them to court they would drag it out another three or four days and it would cost $30,000, so we dropped it. They had to excavate, and it has to be re-excavated because it doesn't meet code. I wouldn't have believed it happened because, they are a very reputable company. They could have performed the work meeting city codes. They could have repaired the damage that they caused.
Description of Work: Laney's Incorporated did the plumbing for my new house and excavated. The basement flooded.

We've had Laney's come out and do several jobs over the years and have been very happy with all of them. We've had them do electrical work (installing new light fixtures), plumbing (a variety of tasks), and the installation and maintenance of a gas boiler (replacing an old oil system). Each and every technician who has come out to do a job has been very professional and willing to explain everything that needed to be done.

I would have them come and do it. We have sun pumps up here getting rid of the water underneath our home. They're very prompt and reliable. They give estimates. They also give gift card for their company. I have nothing but good things to say. For the price, we always want to have less. They really are good people.

Snaked the main which was not the problem for which they charged. $ 200. They had to come back to snake a side drain, which was the problem...but then charged me another $ 200... even when they said it would be. $120. Not calling them again.

Plumber was friendly and upfront about costs and services. Laney's isn't the cheapest, but they tend to have better warranty coverage for their products than others in town. He had the job done quickly and cleaned up.

I called and scheduled the appointment approximately 1 week before they could complete the work. I was planning to replace the toliet myself when i found the broken flange and elbow, so i was able to explain the exact issue to the scheduler. Fortunately, the details seemed to have been accurately recorded and seemed to have been explained to the plumbers (two) who eventually came out. The morning of the appointment I received a call that someone was on their way out. I don't recall the exact time, but sometime mid morning and within the window of time i was originally told. The plumbers arrived and explained having two people made the process go faster/smoother since it would require jack hammering. They took a quick look, explained it would probably be about a days work and would run about $800. They also said its hard to know exactly how much it would cost until they opened the floor up. I told them to go ahead and they got to work. The plumbers placed drop clothes all the way from the bathroom in the basement to the door upstairs, including the stairs. As one guy hammered the other loaded the concrete up in buckets and hauled them out. They were able to access the coupler from the main cast iron line by hammering out a small section of the bathroom floor. It was unknown if they would find coupler or if the pipe below the floor would have to be cut; this was good news as no additional cutting was necessary. They were able to remove the old coupler elbow and toilet flange. They replaced the coupler, elbow and flange with parts in their van. Despite the fact that they had brought a jack hammer and knew they would be removing concrete, they did not bring any concrete mix or lag screws to secure the new flange down. I believe they were expecting the demolition and plumbing repair portion to take longer and could have picked up the additional supplies after lunch. However, since the demo and plumbing repairs only took a little over an hour, they were going to have to go get these items. I'm not sure if i would have been billed for this additional time, but i don't quite understand why all the supplies would not have been loaded before heading to the job. Despite that, I ended up having a few bags of concrete and ran to the hardware store and bought the lag screws as they were finishing up with the plumbing portion of the repairs. The rest of the job went as planned; mixed and poured concrete, set the flange bolts and cleaned up. Since the concrete needed to set, i informed them i would set the toilet after it fully cured later. They then wrote up the bill and accepted my 10% off coupon. The resulting bill for 2 plumbers working roughly 2.5-3 hours and replacing a no-hub coupler, a pvc elbow and a toilet flange ran $562 (625 before the coupon). I'm pleased it was less than the bid, but considering it took less than half a day, i'm wondering if i ended up paying a bit too much. Part of my reason for second guessing this, is the fact that service invoice did not itemize anything (no labor costs, no hardware costs) It simply stated what was done and an item cost for the entire job. Had i been told the job had a flat cost, i would say that $562 was fair, but because of this ambiguity its tough to know if i over paid or not. I should note that the plumber did a very good job with everything related to the repair, but i had to lower the rating for professionalism because of the poor information on the invoice. I've called laneys since this repair and don't consider it enough of an issue to call other service companies, but i would hope that they do a better job of clarifying what they are actually billing for on future jobs.

It went very well. The installation was a little bit challenging because the furnace/blower is on the opposite side of the house as the AC unit, but they were able to do the work without ripping open the basement ceiling. The new units work very well. Though we have had annual preventive maintenance performed on them they have required no servicing.

The price was on the high side, but the agent brought it down to match other competitors. Very professional; the agent was calling periodically. He did not try to and quot;pushand quot; but just inquiring. A firm installation date and time were provided in advance. The installers showed up promptly at the indicated time. They were HIGHLY professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. The job was performed nicely. Highly recommended. I will definitely use them in the future!
