I found Lesters on Angie's. Well rated and convenient to my home. Called. Spoke to Lester who explained in detail the issues related to my non-functioning expansion tank and 9 year old water heater. He dispatched his son, Brandon, the same morning and within 2 hours Brandon was on site examining the water pressure of the house, the water heater and expansion tank. He changed the expansion tank, rechecked the water pressure and then offerred to inspect all the toilet water closets and faucets in the house for leaks, free of charge, and even included the replacement of one flush stopper/ flap. He was very professional and experienced for a young guy. When my water heater dies, I will be calling Lester's to make the replacement.

I thought they were great. They answered the phone when I called. They came out the same exact day that I called. I thought their pricing was fantastic. They also called back as a follow up to asking me how the experience was. I thought that was fantastic.

It went well overall. I got the listing from Angies List and made the appointment over the telephone. I had an 8:30 appt and when he was running late I received a telephone call notifying me that he had been held up on another job and would be 15 minutes late. He arrived and performed the work to my satisfaction and was gone in an hour and a half.

Everything was installed properly and works fine. They provided good guidance on faucet options. (we opted to buy one ourselves, saving a few bucks.) The job took about 2 hours.

Arrived on time and completed repair quickly.

We purchased our home in August 2012. Since moving in we have had 3 plumbing issues. The home came with a home warranty. The first issue was a leaking pipe in the crawl space. The home warranty covered all but the deductible. Lester's came promptly and fixed the leaking pipe. The second time we used them we had leaking outdoor faucets. They came promptly and replaced the leaking faucets. The third issue was a shower arm that fell out of the wall. The home warranty paid for the diagnostic and Lester's bill on top of it was $195.00. They did a great job and we felt it was reasonable. We would recomend them highly as they are prompt, clean and reasonable.

Overall it went very well. No complaints really.

Lester's came out and gave us a quote which we considered reasonable. We gave them the job. They ordered the toilets we requested and we scheduled a time for the work to be performed. However, we had a death in the family, and had to reschedule. Lester's worked with us from beginning to end. We never felt pressured about getting the work done and never paid a dime until the work was finished. Brandon ran into a problem in the downstairs bathroom because the original flange had not been installed properly. He left it up to us as to what we wanted to do. Of course, we wanted it to be correct so we had him replace the wooden part (where the flange sits) and he then completed the install of the toilet. All along the way we were kept informed of any additional costs before the work was done. We definitely will use Lester's for any future plumbing work we might need!

Not sure how my husband found him, but to install the shower temperature backwards seems like something a young kid would do, not a professional plumber.

Had called another plumber first, they told me without even looking at it that it needed to be replaced and he could be there in 30 minutes, it would cost $750.00. Didn't happen. So I called Lester's Plumbing mainly because of the reviews on Angie's list. Got there right on time, ended up fixing the leaking toilet, replacing my spigot that was also a concern of mine, and a leaking sink faucet all for $350.00. Very professional, knowledgeable and speedy. Do yourself a favor, pick Lester's Plumbing.

We had a well outage and I called Lester Friday at 8:30 AM and left a voice mail. He called back in about 20 minutes. I explained my problem and he tried to save a costly visit by having me check the water filter. I had changed the water filter about a month before and I was pretty sure that wasn't the problem as no water was coming out the well head tap. He told me that we was booked for several days but would call someone who could take a look and have them call me. Within 20 minutes Phillip Bettingfield (PB's Water Pump Service - 919.494.5799) called me and scheduled a visit today. It's now 11:30 and Phillip just left. He replaced the capacitor unit at the top of the well head and we're back to having water. The capacitor unit was fairly well corroded (eight years old). So, while Lester didn't actually do the work because he was already booked, his network of associates did take care of it. Two thumbs up!!

They were very good. They did a real good job. They were a little expensive but we had a lot done. We are thinking about using them again because we have another shower that we are thinking about doing.

Selected from the list of service professionals who make calls to the area I live in. The initial contact with the receptionist was professionat.nd pleasant. Within several hours, I received a call from the owner, who was willing to come out that day for the service call. Because it wasn't an emergency, the service call was scheduled for the next day. Brandon, his son, was at my home by 9:30 AM, and the work was completed. I would HIGHLY recommend this vendor. Brandon was courteous, knowledgeable, and able to make the requested repairs without a problem. And, he made sure that everyhting was working properly before he signed off on the job. As a small business owner, I can say that he is an asset to his father's business. I would call them, again, without hesitation, and I would recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

They did everything they could to ensure the leak was not coming from a source they could repair.

Everything went well. They showed up less than an hour after I called and performed work that day at agreed price

I needed the original bathroom faucet fixtures removed so that I could install new faucets. Because they were the original and over 40 years old, I couldn't get them off by my self. I had selected Lester's because of the previous angie's list comments that they would work with customers on price and education. They did exactly that! Lester and Brandon removed all five of the faucets for me and installed 2 of the new faucets that I purchased so that I would have working bathroom sinks for my little one. They explained to me what parts I would need to purchase to install the others, and what I pitfalls I should try to avoid when I do my own installation. They did indicate, if I have any problems with the installing of the others I can give them another call. Would definitely hire them again.

I have been using them for about 15 years; his pricing is consistent and I am not unhappy with his prices. They usually come promptly and come when they say they will. One of the nicest things is that they clean up after themselves and I will use them again in the future.

I called and Lester came over within fifteen minutes when I told him I had no water in my kitchen. He took about 30 minutes to repair the faucet and it worked perfectly. The only thing wrong was I thought the price was a little high, but for that kind of fast service I was glad to pay it.

Lester was there for us when we needed him once again. Wife called me at 2 pm to tell me we had no running water. I called Lester, and by the end of the day we had a new pump starter control installed, and had our water back on. He had the foresight to anticipate the parts we might need, based on a phone conversation, and went out of his way to get them before he arrived, to make sure he would have everything he needed to get our water back on. Otherwise, we might have been out of luck. Thanks Lester for bailing us out of trouble!

Lester discussed various options for the job, and patiently explained how a gas feed is bonded, the difference in piping materials, steps to take to improve safety, and regulator configuration for the home. He and his son showed up on time, did a great job installing the line, and educated me on how to maintain our water heater and plumbing system. His charges were a little less than the original quote on the phone, and was a pleasure to deal with. I've added Lester's Plumbing to my list of excellent local vendors.

I loved him. He charged me just exactly what he coated me. He was right on-time and the work was outstanding. He actually came in and told me that there was some work I was having him do that I didn't need to do so he did other work instead. I was really impressed with that.

I had an inspection, and the inspection said it should be a metal drain trap not a rubber cap like he did. The spicket was loose and he never even attached it. The 2nd plumber that came out, attached it for me. I kept turning it, and come to find out, the knob was really for a water heater and it was not frost free, which is what the 2nd plumber recommended. I called him and he said, well, you didn't ask for a frost free one? He has a code violation on the spicket, he didn't install a vacuum breaker on the sillcock. He never put one in. When I called him to ask him to correct it by code, he stated that his number one concern was customer service, and that he would be happy to come out and fix it, but he would charge me for it. He hung up on me. Now I am turning him over to the state. He has never called back and never came.

Lester came out a couple months ago and gave us an estimate, and we just decided to get it done. He came out this morning and performed the work. He was punctual, stuck to the estimate exactly, and was willing to take plenty of time to answer all my questions and make sure I understood how to use the new filter.

The service part was previously reported. After my Angie?s report was filed, Lester contacted me personally to learn more about the reason for my dissatisfaction. That had been based on price ($178 for at most 90 minutes? work), but I should have asked ?What will it cost me?? Long and short, I felt overcharged. He asked me what would have been reasonable, and I told him, ?Maybe $50 less.? He refunded the difference to me. Lester has an informal price schedule for every project, and mine just happened to be $178. That charge includes an allowance for travel time. According to the owner, Lester?s can tell you what you will be charged before his guy comes to visit. They do good work, but we each have an idea of what we think is a reasonable price, and getting a price in advance is something Lester encourages, so you should by all means Know Before You Owe. Summary: give Lester?s credit for lowering their price to me. Shame on me for not asking ahead of time. Upgrade Lester?s overall grade to B+ with the understanding that if the price they offer is competitive, you will get quality work.
