Lester's Plumbing Service Inc

In attempt to modify my review of Lester's Plumbing, I did want to mention that I was notified that I would receive a refund for my service call due to the lack of diagnosis, which I do appreciate. As I mentioned in my previous review, I am more than willing to pay for service calls when the service promised (i.e. a diagnosis) is delivered. In my case, no diagnosis was provided. Many other reviews of this plumber show positive results.

The price. The price is the main thing.

They responded quickly. Technician was professional and courteous. Cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

It was promptly and properly addressed and cleaned up afterward.

Tech called 25 min prior to scheduled apt time to cancel, he ended up coming but 90 min late. The price quoted on phone at time of apt scheduling was $69 for visit and any additional fees depended on labor and parts for job. The repair was simple and required no parts , no tools and took about 1-2 minutes to complete. The total fee was $125.00 which was not told to me until after he completed. The breakdown is $69 for visit and $56.00 for a 1-2 min job that required no tools/parts. When I questioned the tech about price he advised that was because he was experienced and no negotiation.

The tech tried to cancel my appointment 25 min before appointment due to another plumbing emergency. I had already left work early to meet him so he agreed to come out later in day, he was 90 min later arrival than planned which was fine. Charged $69 for trip which I was advised when I arranged appointment and was told the rest of fee would depend on labor and parts. He charged an additional $56.00. for a job that took him about 2 min and no parts to repair and wouldn't go any lower. total $125.00 Very overpriced.

Had a problem with low hot water flow to kitchen sink. Brandon systematically diagnosed the problem and problem is now solved. Since I had a plumber scheduled I figured it was time to have the hot water tank flushed. Overall, excellent experience with Brandon from Lester's Plumbing Service Inc. - Professional, Knowledgeable, On Time!

Woke up to water running in my crawl space. Called Lester's Plumbing and about an hour later Bret arrived and quickly repaired the busted water line in the crawl space. While in the crawl space, Bret found another slow leak from an old expansion tank. When I inquired about replacing the expansion tank, Bret explained that the tank really wasn't needed since I had an on demand hot water heater. Bret removed the expansion tank and capped off the line, saving me the cost of a new tank. While he was here I asked him to replace an outside faucet and he replaced that faucet as he had all the parts needed on his truck. I was so impressed with the quality of the work and the courteous technician, I scheduled a return appointment the following week to have them descale my hot water heater and install some outlets and shutoffs, Bret arrived at the appointed time and completed all the work that I requested. Again, he was very courteous and explained everything that he was doing. Cost of second visit was $339. Will definitely be using Lester's Plumbing in the future for my plumbing needs.

Was completely bungled by previous resident and installer of sink. He simplified the pipes and made the connection from disposal to the sink a straight alignment without extra pipes that weren't needed. Bret was very friendly and explained everything before he did it.

They're wonderful. They figured out the least expensive way to do it and it has worked perfectly. They were on time and I just really appreciate them. He gave us an estimate through the phone. He took a lot of information over the phone and he sent a person out. He was right on the money of what he was charging and that was very reasonable compared to other quotes we've had that were doing a much more involved procedure than needed to be done.

Arrived very promptly. Nice people to deal with. I'll use their services again.

My husband and I woke up on a very cold morning to find that our water was not running. We immediately knew that our pipes were frozen but we had no clue how to solve the problem safely, quickly, and in a cost effective manner. We looked on Angie?s list for a company with good reviews in our area. We found Lester?s Pluming Service. We called and told them our problem and they got us an appointment just hours later. We were appreciative of this due to our fear of our pipes boosting and not being able to shower, flush toilets, or cook. Brandon was on time, professional yet very approachable, and knowledgeable. I usually do not have service providers in my home unless my husband is home also. However, I felt more than comfortable with him. He did the job safely, quickly, and in a cost effective manner. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to others

Scheduled and repaired 48 hours later. Water heaters in attic on 3rd floor and did work in about 4 hours. 3rd time I have used them and recommend them highly! Brandon and Lester are very professional.

Their quote was a little bit too high. The quote was about $400. I told them I thought it was a little too much for the job. It was pretty quick and neat and I said thank you and goodbye. They didn't come out, they just called. I thought they should have come out and looked at the job. I got a guy to do it for $75.

The service technician was prompt, professional, and polite. He was also very knowledgeable about the plumbing systems in my home. I was particularly appreciative that the technician allowed me to hang around while he was doing the fixes so I could get an idea of the problems and how he was fixing them. The work was all done with high-quality. He was also careful to leave the area cleaner than he found it - which was a nice touch. I definitely felt like I paid a little extra than average, but it was for the peace of mind and professionalism received. I felt like only what was needed to be fixed was fixed. The only thing I would have appreciated and would hope would be advertised to future customers is that there is a service charge for a visit, on top of parts and labor. Labor wasn't that cheap, looked to be $150 for 90 minutes of work - so the additional $65 for a visit can be a deal breaker for some. Regardless, I would probably still use Lester's in the future because of the quality and professionalism I saw in that visit.

Great experience all around. Easy to set up the appointment around my schedule. Professional and quality service. Would use them again.

My townhome was built in 1987 when apparently polybutylene pipes were thought to be the pipes of the future. (Revolutionary!) It was soon discovered that over time they would inevitably corrode from the inside and fail. The home inspector completely missed (or mislead me) about this issue, and when I moved in I had two bursts within eight months, one of which completely destroyed my laundry room and a bathroom ceiling. I knew I was dealing with a time bomb here, so I started going down the list of plumbers in the area. After several estimates, I grew increasingly frustrated. The prices were all over the place and many plumbers tried to scare me into paying for things I knew I didn't need and generally treated me like I was an idiot. Finally, fed up, I joined Angie's List and found Lester's Plumbing Service. I was impressed by the consistent "A" ratings and that they had won the Super Service Award for several years. Lester himself showed up at exactly the time he said he would ( several other candidates had been late and one actually stood me up - twice). He stayed for quite a while because I had a lot of questions and explained what was absolutely necessary to solve my problem without trying to sell me services I obviously didn't need. He did point out that I did not have a pan under my water heater, which of course is asking for trouble. I had wanted someone to fix my dryer vent for a long time because it was faulty and causing the dryer to overheat. I assumed this was not the work of a plumber but Lester said he would fix that also. Though I had initially just intended to do the repipe, thinking that was all I could afford, I asked for an estimate including all these other jobs as well. I was dreading what it would be, but it was actually less than what most of the others wanted to just do the repipe and nothing else. I think this is one advantage of going with a locally owned family company. On the appointed day, Lester and his son Brandon showed up with four other guys. I assumed that Lester, being a Master plumber with many years experience, would just leave a crew and go do a job that was more expensive, but he stayed throughout the entire two-day job, supervising and quality-checking as well as doing a lot of the work himself. I was impressed at how well all the guys worked together. They were very coordinated and efficient and I could tell they took pride in their work. In fact I later discovered they had done some extra things without charging me, such as repairing my sink drain basket and even repairing an old hole in the floor near my water heater. They also installed the main water shutoff, which had previously been in the crawlspace hidden under insulation, next to my water heater. I was expecting a terrible mess from the removal of the drywall, but they were meticulous about keeping things as clean as possible. When they left they even swept and vacuumed. There wasn't really much left for me to do. All in all, what I had expected to be basically a nightmare turned out to be a painless experience that actually came in under budget. It has improved the value of my house and the workmanship exceeded my expectations. These folks excel at their craft and I would recommend them highly to friends and family. It will probably be a very long time before I need plumbing service again, but if and when I do I'm calling Lester.

Brandon tried numerous process before resorting to brining in the large "snake" machine. Turns out he had to go over 50' to clear the grease blockage. This effort required removing the sink drain pipes. I decided to have him replace the sink baskets and rework the drain connections for the sinks and dishwasher. He did an excellent job and I would use this company again.

called and set up appointment. Came at scheduled time and preformed service. Cleaned up afterwards. Left no mess. Also looked at air conditioning drain. Asked for price on replacing toilet. This info was e-mailed to me.

The guy who came out knew what to do because I do not know that much about plumbing. Another company had been out here to take care of the problem and they could not do it but this guy, Brandon, did a good job. I used them because they were used by our neighbor.

Brandon arrived on time, quickly identified the issue, and had all necessary parts to make the repair. The entire process took about one hour. I'm very happy with the service and will refer Lester's anytime my neighbors or friends seek plumbing services.

I had no hot water for my morning shower. Looked under the house and saw hot water heater was leaking. Called Lester's Plumbing early and got voice mail because it was so early. As soon as Michele got my voice mail she returned my call. She said she could schedule me for late morning. We had to take a day trip and all this was being done by phone. About 10:30 Brandon called and gave me the bad news. He was at my house and said the heater needed replacing. He quoted me a price right on the spot. Everything was done by the time we got home. Area was cleaned up. I felt real good about the quality and timeliness of the service we got. I would use them again and highly recommend them.
