Description of Work: I contacted the company to schedule an estimate for painting the exterior of our home this Spring. |The initial reply from the company was quick and professional. However, he was unable show to keep the first appointment. He called and said we could reschedule for the coming weekend and I said that would be fine. |During that weekend, he called and again and said a job was taking longer than expected and would not be able to make it. |I gave him a third opportunity to schedule the estimate, and he would never set an appointment, and did not return a phone message. |His last message to me was he "understood" if I took my business elsewhere. | |I am not sure whether his business is so good, that he doesn't need additional work, or if it is simply a lack of professionalism. Since I did not hire him to do the painting, I cannot comment on the quality of the company's work. |

Description of Work: Exterior pressure clean and paint, trim repair, and interior paint. Also painted my cabinets. Dave and his team did an excellent job and were extremely professional, clean, fast, and timely. Each day they were on site, they covered all furniture and flooring under the area that would be painted. At the end of each day, they cleaned up and put all of their gear away. | |My cabinets look brand new and I would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Dave Balkus and his crew did an excellent job. They did a quality job, were careful around my garden areas, and left the place neat and tidy when they were finished. Description of Work: We had some communication glitches which resulted in them coming out to re-do the backporch and do the shutters but I have to say Dave was very responsive about coming back and getting the work completed. He wanted to please and do a good job. Overall the house looks good.

Description of Work: Sent previous email along with copy of David Balkus statement to contact you for refund. Responding to Angie's list customer service rep. Balkus came looked at house and provided revised quote of over $4,500. Know I can do better... his email which I sent to your led me to believe he really wasn't interested in painting my house. Please process refund ASAP and advise when this is done so I can Track.

Owner Dave Balkus contacted us promptly, and scheduled and completed our work within a reasonable time frame (rainy weather was a factor). We are very pleased with the result!
Description of Work: Exterior house-painting, including prep work and trim (including window frames and shutters), 2 colors, plus a different color for the front door.

+ 0 moreIt was a great experience. Dave came over to take measurements for an estimate which he provided in writing within 48 hours. I felt it was fair so I set up a time for him to do the work. hi I did wait a few weeks for the work due to excessive pollen. He followed up with me when we discussed and set up a date. We did have some bad weather, so each day he followed up with me on what he could and could not accomplish based on the weather. When the painting started, they were on time and professional I didn't even notice them when they were working. And when they were finished, they cleaned up after themselves before leaving for the day. Dave did a walk through to make sure everything was done to his liking and then followed up with me the following day with an invoice via email that matched my estimate. Everything went smoothly and just as we had discussed. I could not be happier. I felt he did the work he said he would do. The price was fair. He was timely and professional. I really enjoyed working with him. I would recommend him to my friends for any future work.

Description of Work: Dave immediately phoned me after purchasing Big Deal for exterior painting and set up a next day appointment to "cover a few things". Very nice and personable man. He arrived on time and worked up an estimate. He started the conversation that the big deal is a little misleading and proceeded to inform us we would be paying close to 2k more to have our home painted properly. He offered to make a written estimate and if we didn't want to move forward he understood. Estimate came next day and was $3500. We choose not to be a part of this "Big Deal". Dave was VERY professional and prompt. If we had the budget for this project we would definitely use him.

Description of Work: We hired this paint contractor to repaint our offices. He was very prompt, did an amazing job and even helped us customize the paint with a metalic shimmer that looks amazing in our office. He was able to fit us in last minute and even worked at night and on the weekend to get the job done for us on time. He was so good infact that we hired him to paint our house as well. I am a mother with two children and I felt completely safe having him and his crew in the house with us. He appears to be a good family man with a great work ethic.
