oting and reassemblyI called Convenient Appliance Repair to have a look at a Bosche washing machine that had stopped working. The service tech was on time, neatly dressed and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose the problem in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the cost to repair the washer was over 50% of its replacement cost. He and I agreed that a replacement would be a better move, and he offered advice on the better brands available. First class service, even if they didn't get the opportunity to repair the machine. If anything else breaks down, they're going to be my first call.

Guys came out, looked around, said they couldnt be sure I'd get the reception I wanted because of our location, and said they didnt recommend that I get an antenna., No charge.

This is the way a business SHOULD be run. Prompt, courteous, professional service all the way through the transaction. I like that they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.

I called the day the washing machine stopped working. I was told that someone could come out in 2 days. The repairman called a few minutes before he arrived, as promised (on time.) He was dressed professionally and had a professional manner. He quickly diagnosed the problem as something wrong with the lid. He had the part in his truck. He installed it and ran it through a quick check. He was here about 25 minutes. The total cost was $159.17......Part- $36.69; trip charge- $73; and labor- $47. I am happy to have a working washing machine but now wish I could be an appliance repair person and make about $50 per half hour. :)Nevertheless, I will call this company again as the work was well done and professional.

Worried when they mentioned the $75 fee for coming out, but the overall cost for the repair was reasonable and the service was very good/professional. Overall a painless experience.

The service was very good. They made the repair very quickly for me. I would recommend their services.

They are very good and get there the same day every time you call them. They fixed my problem in about 15 minutes; that is a pretty good deal. I also use them because they are about a mile from my house. They are very conscientious about their job and have done a good job both times I have used them. I will call them again if I need somebody to repair an appliance.

I generally have very bad experiences with service providers in my area. This was definitely not one of them. I called on Thursday and the repairman was at my house by 11am on Friday. He not only fixed the issue quickly and efficiently, but he also took the time to explain to my husband why it happened and how to prevent it in the future. A++++

They have a good supply of parts and supplied a timely and professional service man.

Excellent. Prompt: I was able to get an appointment for two days after I called and they even called back with a sooner date/time when they got a cancellation. The serviceman was professional and knowledgable; the problem was fixed and the work area left clean. I will definitely use them again.

Called on a Saturday morning and was referred to the Greensboro branch (we're in Elon/Burlington area). Called that number and was told they could fit me in Monday, to call Monday between 8-8:30 to get my 2 hour 'window' of service. (plus points already!) Called Monday and was told between 12-2. Happily, my serviceman Chris called me about 11:00 so they were early! He reviewed the problem, checked it out, and fixed it. Very professional, courteous and adept. Knew what he was doing and did it in a timely manner. Chris asked some questions to determine where the issue may be. Explained all he was doing as he went along. Was very conscientious and ensured he had towels to dry any water that may leak out prior to moving washer. Taped up my loose washer insulation for me prior to putting machine back in place. He was very personable and very professional. I had found them thru Angie's List, and was hesitant to call as it was a Winston-Salem address. I was very pleased to find they had a Greensboro branch to service our area. Am keeping their card for all future issues on any repairs as I plan on using Convenient Appliance Service whenever something goes 'wrong'. Thank you!!

I called that morning to find out what 2 hour window he would be there in. Basically had to waste my whole day since I could not get this information until the morning of the repair visit. He was late. Went right to work. Only took 30 minutes to fix the problem.

I was panicked when my dryer stopped heating as I have 3 teenage boys and do laundry every day. I called Convenient Appliance Service on a Tuesday afternoon and they scheduled a service call for the next morning. The woman who answered the phone and scheduled the appointment was extremely friendly and competent. The technician arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate, and fixed the dryer immediately as he had the part on his truck. He was professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the problem. He thoroughly cleaned the dryer and the area around it before leaving. He was very efficient and extremely knowledgable. I highly recommend Convenient Appliance Service.

They were wonderful. They were friendly, prompt, professional and local. We found them through Angie's List. They responded very quickly, they had someone out here within a day and it was not necessarily an emergency. The person who came was very well experienced and charged us minimally. In fact, he fixed something that someone else had messed up and didn't charge us anything for that. They were very pleasant to work with, I couldn't ask for better service. The appliances are still working today and they are both about 1 years old. We have highly recommended them to other friends.

Given the design, the whole electronic board and the housing had to be replaced so the part was quite expensive. This design foul-up was Jenn-Air's problem, not that of the appliance service. The first call was made as soon as possible, the part ordered and an installatiion time scheduled professionally and as quickly as possible. The old housing was somewhat difficult to remove (again, Jenn-Air seems to be denying that any part can fail so did not take fixing this thing into account when designing the range ). The old was taken out and the new put in with imagination and care.

LOVE. THEM. Naturally, on a Saturday, and naturally, when we're supposed to go out of town, we notice water leaking from the bottom of our freezer. After removing everything from the freezer, it appeared that the back was glowing red and was hot to touch. Also, water was running out the bottom, still. Called a large, nationally known company, who said the earliest they could come out was Wednesday. Ha! Thanks but no thanks, buddy. Checked Angie's List for appliance repair, and Convenient Appliance Service showed up at the top of the list, with several reports, all of which were excellent. Plus, they are really close to our house. I called, and the gentleman who answered took my information and said a tech would call me about coming by. A little while later, I got the phone call and a few minutes after that, the service person showed up. He looked inside and right off the bat figured out what was wrong and that it would NOT be some expensive repair job. He cleaned out the drain and poured hot water in to melt the ice that had accumulated. In chatting, I mentioned that our ice maker doesn't stop automatically, so he took a look at that and made an adjustment to the arm that should take care of it. I also asked a question about our dryer vent, and he told me a very simple and inexpensive fix. He only charged us the service call fee, and said if anything else happened to call back because they guarantee their service calls for six months. They were so prompt and responsive, and the repair person was very personable. I DEFINITELY will use them again and will recommend them to others. And to top it all off, the repair person had no idea they were even on Angie's List, so I got to plug the List to him, too!

They did the work but it took quite some time to get it done.

The serviceman was very kind and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem (he actually suspected what it was before he open the dishwasher up). He repaired the computer board and finished the job within 30 minutes of arrival. It was only $35 dollars on top of the $65 dollar service charge. I was expecting to pay $250-300 for the repair. I would definitely hire them again.

Our dryer had been leaving marks and catching our clothing. It is a GE/Hotpoint about 9 years old. We called GE and had them come out and do a service call. In 5 minutes (and $80 later), the serviceman told me it would cost $330 to fix the "front bearing" which was worn out. He said at that point I might as well buy a new dryer. A friend recommended we call Convenient Appliance. We did and they told us the dryer just needed a little maintenance, but it should still give us another 10+ years. They immediately recognized the problem once described over the phone. He said he would order the GE part and that we could try to replace it ourselves. If we had a problem, then they could come out and fix it. The part came the next day. They even gave us a $13 discount on the part. It was simple to read the instructions and replace the part. Now, the dryer is working just fine! Wish I had saved myself $80 by calling Convenient Appliance first!

Convenient sent someone out within two hours of me calling which was extremely impressive. The diagnosis was quick, but the part needed to be ordered, so the repair was made on the third business day. He gave an accurate estimate of both the total cost and the time it would take to receive the part and come back to install it. Within the time-frame promised, the same guy from Convenient came and installed the part. He also installed a replacement water filter for the ice-maker (which I had purchased) for me at no additional cost. Finally, he vacuumed the dust along the grill that had collected. This was our first experience with Convenient and they will be the first folks I call should I need another appliance repaired.

Wonderful - the technician explained everything he was doing and showed me the part that needed replaced and why it needed replaced. He was on time and wore shoe coverings inside. He also placed a protective covering over my wood floors while he was working.

I followed the directions I received and was able to remove the lint. Dryer works great now.

I left a voicemail before the they were opened explaining that I needed service immediately. A representative called me promptly at 8 a.m. After asking me a few questions, she suggested I call the manufacturer first because the problem could be covered under a warranty. Since the manufacturer could not come out until the following day, I decided to take the risk that the problem was not covered by a warranty. Barry Brown was able to come early that afternoon. He called before arriving, was very neat despite the downpour outside, and explained everything he was doing and why the repairs were needed. It was not a warranty covered item and I saved a lot of money by using Convenient Appliance Service. He was in and out of our house in under one hour.
