The person who came was knowledgeable and careful in what he did. He made an effort to keep costs down by discussing the different things I wanted done--there were several things I needed, but after discussing with him, I decided to split up the work into separate jobs. I will use them again when I need to complete the 2nd round of electrical work.

Tina called the morning after I put in my request and scheduled me for that afternoon. She called later and said they could come even earlier. The first task was an electric timer we couldn't get to work. Ryan jumped on that while Mike looked at the ceiling fan. We had replaced a fan but couldn't get the wall switch to work the light. Mike got that done in a snap. Our last task was a treadmill that tripped the ground fault. They went over everything with a fine toothed comb before deciding that we would need a new line to handle the machine. They got all this done in just over 2 hours. I was impressed that they wanted the manuals to the timer and treadmill. They were very careful not to damage our electronics. I can't imagine being more pleased with a company. I will never call anyone else.

Mike and associate were on time. They worked efficiently and well together, I had an estimate a month before and requested a call on a specific date. They had me on there calendar exactly when I asked.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for 2 hours of electrical work.The young lady (Tina) that handles the scheduling contacted me promptly and scheduled the appointment. She's very knowledgeable and courteous on the phone. The day of the appointment she phoned to let me know the electrician was on his way. The electrician (Mike) was very professional and didn't waste any time getting right to work once he determined what I needed. With some of the hourly deals I'm concerned that the people who show up will work in slow motion but not Mike. He was up and down his ladder and my stairs like he was in a race. I was very appreciative of the amount of work he accomplished. In order to complete the job, I did run over my 2 hours by 30 minutes but it wasn't an unreasonable rate for the extra labor or parts. There were no up-sales or trying to push anything on me. He found out what I needed and got it done as quickly as possible while still taking the time to explain everything to me in terms that a non-electrician could understand. This is the 3rd time I've used this company and I continue to be very satisfied and confident with their work.

Went great. They were on time and got everything done pretty quickly. Very nice guys. Gave me good advice on a tree service to use also.

Bretco Electric Company was wonderful and they did great work. They responded quickly and they cleaned up after themselves, and just did a marvelous job. We would recommend them highly. We were very impressed with the amount of things they were able to accomplish within the two hour time frame they were there.

The two service men, Mike and Chris were outstanding. They were prompt, got everything done in a timely fashion, were informative and thorough. They took time to make sure I understood everything. I highly recommend them!

House call went very well. The crew was able to show up early, provide an estimate, and complete the work quickly. They satisfactorily answered all my questions in regarding how and why the work was required. I was very satisfied with the conduct and professionalism of the crew. The cost was in line with my expectations and was reasonable. This is the second time I have had Bretco come to my home for work over the past two months. I was equally satisfied the first time they did work as well (which was performed by a different crew). I would recommend Bretco to anyone need electrical work done and I would not hestitate to call them in the future.

Used an Angie's List deal for a few hours of service. Very quick response after contacting the provider. They scheduled the visit quickly and two men arrived exactly on time. Since I had sent pictures showing the work area, they were familiar with what needed to be done, and did their work quickly and efficiently. Since it was a packaged deal, they let me know that any materials would be extra, which was exactly what I had expected. The cost was reasonable, both for the materials and their time. They left the work area in better condition than what they found it. I would definitely recommend using these folks again for similar work.

Arrived on time, assessed problem and was prepared with parts and tools. Worked quickly and was done in 40 minutes. Did great work.

Everything turned out well, and I had no problems with the service. The gentleman was friendly and professional, cleaned up after himself, and seems to have done a good job. The owner also came by the house, too.

Excellent. They took great pains and designed a solution that 2 cable techs could not. I am not sure how they applied the money, I paid for 2 hours to Angie's List. Otherwise, very happy!

They contacted me for an appointment and they were here the same week. Two people only took about an hour to fix. I thought the quality of work was pretty good.

Work was performed in a friendly and professional manner with quick clean-ups after each install. We have had them come out earlier in the year and were impressed with their quality of service. They are on our "favorites" list for home maintenance and troubleshooting.

It turned out fine. The service was great. I was very happy with them.

Randy and team were great...very responsive and helped with several issues. Bretco updated 6 outlets to grounded outlets, add a full house ground, replaced an attic vent fan (which was a much bigger job then expected), added two bathroom exhaust fans, installed outlets, light fixtures, and switches. Overall they did a great job. Always willing for me to "throw in" one more thing.

I bought the 2 hour block from the Angie's List special offers list. Bretco contacted me and we arranged a time for service for the following day. I could not find a satisfactory range hood so I emailed Bretco through Angie's List asking for a change in day and time. I emailed because I work nights. The service people showed up at my door regardless. I explained that I had emailed Tina a request for cancellation of the service call for the day. They left after advising me to call a specific number to reschedule when I was ready. After finding a range hood, I left a voice message to reschedule on the answering machine of the requested number. Tina returned my call several days later and we rescheduled for today, June 16, 2014. Today, and only after they installed the range hood, the electrician asked me if going over time was OK. I told him I had paid for two hours. At this point, they had been here for approximately 50-55 minutes. His response was that I had an hour, not two. I immediately called Tina. Her response was, "Well, we have to charge you something for coming out there the first time." There was no notification of any charge related to the first appearance by anyone- not the two men who first came to my door, not the two who showed up today- until they were preparing to leave, and not Tina. I cannot honestly call them liars, but Bretco dealt with me in a wholly disingenuous manner. I firmly believe they cheated me out of an hour of time and I believe they are unrepentant in doing so. I am a firm believer in the adage that when someone shows you who they are, believe them. So, if they will cheat you once, they will certainly do so again. I would never use this company again. Additionally, the level of work was sub par. During the process of installing my range hood, at least one screw went all the way through one of my cabinets and was left protruding into the accompanying side cabinet. I am too short to determine whether more are there but will check later. I have no idea if other issues with the shoddy installation may come into being, but you can bet I won't be calling Bretco. Update: My son says no screws actually went through the cabinets but he isn't sure what the screws did to the connecting staples because the facing of the cabinets are separating from the cabinets on either side of the range hood. Like magic... within a week of the range hood installation. They were also responsible for several deep scratches on the left cabinet. Terrible, terrible work. I feel they have destroyed my brand new cabinets on both sides of my stove. Bretco's response is, again, absolutely disingenuous. I stated in my very first email to Bretco that I was unavailable until approximately 11am most mornings but would make an exception if necessary. No notice was given, neither of the arrival nor the price of half the purchased time. Pathetic attempt to CYB, Bretco. Part of my initial email is posted below. There were two separate service calls. During the first encounter the service provider broke the brand new tile countertop when removing the dishwasher to repair. This was not fixed and I was told they felt bad about what happened but would not be doing anything to remedy the situation. The second call was to fix a mistake or omission from the first call. After the electrician left the first time all power was lost to the electrical outlets in the three bedrooms and both bathrooms. They had to come back out to see what was done and of charged me another trip visit.

It didn't. I have not been reimbursed.

Still waiting for reply from you. In all fairness this contractor notified me immediately but I have not been able to get any response from you. (Angies list).

Both men were courteous, friendly, and fast. A most enjoyable experience.

They did the job with no problems. They did the work they had to do and were efficient. There was no extra cost. Everything was on time. What they said they would do, they did.

Appointment went well...Mike was knowledgeable and professional. Was neat...cleaned up after himself. The only downside was the cost. I paid $118.00 for two hours of service...not realizing that travel time was included in the two hours...which cuts the total amount of available work time. Also the additional cost over the promotional cost exceeded the promotional cost. ( I guess for the additional time and the supplies) I am not certain, but I don't recall being alerted to the travel time being counted as part of the promotion ( 2 hours of labor) ...that could have been my oversight, but if not...it would be helpful if that information was made clear in the promotion. Overall, a good learning experience and good work done.

The guy who came out was good. He was nice and on time. He did what we asked him to do. The way that the deal works is that they come out and do as much as they could in an hour or two and when he came out, he did not dilly-dally at all. We had three or four projects and he got it all done with like 15 minutes to spare. His price was excellent. Everything that he did works and it is all set up fine. He just said when he had time to come out and he showed up.
