2 guys performed services mentioned above, which i didn't necessarily expect (thought there'd only be one). So, the fact that they were only here about 1.5 hours working, vs. the $140 I paid for 2 hours lessens the somewhat disappointing fact that parts costs could not have been rolled into the $140 price rather than being added to it. Took them a while to come up with the extra $35 price for parts, but overall I am glad to have the issues addressed. Both guys were professional and courteous and seemed very capable.

I hired Bretco for the second time in two weeks because I was so impressed with the work done the first time by Paul and Ryan. This time Paul and Mike came to my house and they did an excellent job. I was called the night before, by Tina, to confirm the visit. Both men were efficient, personable and knowledgeable. The original job was to install an electrical outlet in the hallway, but when they quickly finished the job, I asked if they could install the replacement smoke detector I had bought several years ago and been unable to change by myself. They graciously agreed to do so. Paul also offered to change the batteries in the other smoke detectors so I wouldn't have to climb a ladder. Mike suggested after I have all the construction work finished on my house that I clean each smoke detector with compressed air because dust particles from the construction work could inhibit the correct functioning of the smoke detectors, causing them to go off when there wasn't a fire. I didn't know that, so I am very appreciative because I HATE getting up at 2 in the morning (once my heart stops racing when I see it is a false alarm), dragging the ladder out of the garage (I'm short) and checking the smoke detectors when they have a false alarm. They also answered questions and gave helpful information on potential electrical jobs I want completed next summer. All in all, I highly recommend this company. I was impressed both times by the team work the men demonstrated. They have great employees and do great work! I plan to make them my "go-to" company for all electrical work and will recommend them to friends in need of a good electrician.

It went great! When I built the house 11 years ago I had a floor outlet placed in the middle of my living room. Dumb decision. Not only did I never use it, but it was a trip hazard. I'm having to replace the carpeting and wanted to be able to carpet over it. I contacted several electricians from Angies List and Bretco was the first to respond and the first to be able to schedule the work. They said the workmen would come in the morning and would call me before they left their office to give me a heads up. It was carefully explained that the travel time for a one way trip would be figured in the cost. I said I understood. I knew what their hourly rate was because it was posted and they stated it up front. When the two wonderful young electricians, Ryan and Paul left their office, they called and were at my home 20 minutes later. When they came in I explained that I didn't want the wires just capped off, I wanted the PVC container cut down so it was level with the floor, the circuit cut, and the hole filled with concrete. They didn't know about the concrete and hadn't brought any with them even though that was part of my first contact with the company. I asked them if they could go buy some and I understood that time would be included in the bill but I wanted it done completely and not have to call someone back to finish the job. They left and went into town and purchased the concrete and were back in 30 minutes. I don't know that I could have gotten to that store and back in 30 minutes. They then pulled the wiring from the wall that went to the floor receptacle. They checked to make sure both openings on the wall outlet still worked so I could plug in a lamp, but the floor outlet was dead. They cut down the PVC pipe and when they went to pour the concrete they discovered broken concrete where the builder had tried to do a cheap fix. They pulled out the broken pieces, poured concrete in to repair it, smoothed the surface so that when I have the new carpeting put in next week it will be perfectly flat and no longer a trip or a fire hazard. Both men were very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. They didn't bat an eye when I asked them to purchase the concrete. Some workers might have acted as though it were an imposition, but not these two well-mannered young men. I have some ideas for optional electrical work I want done in the future (install new ceiling fan etc.) and this company will be my first choice. I hope they send Ryan and Paul again. When I am having any kind of work done, I want it done correctly rather than fast so it doesn't have to be redone at a later date. I can't praise this company enough. I also want to compliment Tina who was as good as her word and called me at 7:30 to let me know the men would be leaving shortly. If you ever need electrical work, Bretco should be your first choice!

I decided not to go with this company; because they did not list on "The Fine Print" of their add, that the time actually starts when they leave their shop/building. In other words, the time spent driving to your house (about 35 to 45 minutes to our home) is part of the "2 hour deal". If I pay for a 2 hour deal, I expect 2 hours of ELECTRICAL work, not 1 hour 15 minutes of electrical and 35 to 40 for their driving.

Randy and his crew were prompt and had a very high degree of professionalism throughout our eight week project. His recommendation of outlet and lighting positioning and types of products resulted in a better than expected outcome. Our basement has been transformed into an inviting and warm gathering place in part to the electrical services Bretco provided. Pricing was very competitive and completed work phases on time in order to not delay other contractors for continuing other aspects of the project. I would highly recommend them for major renovation projects and will certainly continue to use them for any future electrical needs.

Office staff was very professional, and worked hard to get me in with my busy schedule. Electrician was very professional and very polite, he took great care in cleaning up after himself and completed all the tasks in the time mentioned. He even looked at another project I was interested in to tell me if it was feasible and give a rough estimate of the time it should take when I decide to go forward with it. Will use them again in the near future. He needed a few extra parts for the light and outlet install. My only note to others is to have a little cash available when you use the Angie's list offers, as it was only a few bucks for the materials, and I was out of cash. Not a huge deal, but cash would have been a bit easier than writing a very small check.

Wanted a whole house fan installed, but they don't do that. Wanted an attic fan installed, but they couldn't do that either. Wasted a lot of time reading the manuals, that I was charged for, then told me they couldn't perform that kind of work. I wasn't happy.

Came on time. Fixed our problems for a reasonable price. Even showed a sense of humor

Electrician did an excellent job and was very helpful. We have an older home so some of the installations did not go as planned but they were still able to get them done in a reasonable amount of time. They cleaned up after they finished and even hauled away some old appliances we had. They are also in the process of quoting out replacing some outdated electrical panels as well. Looking forward to hearing from them! Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future.

I had given details on how to contact us and when we desired the work done by if possible. We put in dates that have come and gone and have not heard any responses from the company. Each day this becomes more discouraging. We are in need and would like to be able to use this service and are disappointed in the non-response. By this I don't know if there could be a fault in the communication and the quality of work may be excellent but without any reason for the non-response, we can not truthfully respond if we would use the service again.

I have used Bretco before and been nothing but pleased with them, so when my cousin calls me to tell me that the plugs in the master bedroom are buzzing and no longer work, in the house that she rents from us,I knew who to call. Mike was the electrician that showed up and he was nothing but nice and cleaned up any mess he made. There were outlet plugs on the floor put in by previous owners that , from my understanding, were not put in correctly and some of the wires had actually burnt! Mike had to go in my crawlspace and go through the wires underneath the house to make sure where the problems were coming from first though, while he was in my crawlspace, he also checked on the water heater, which kept tripping the breaker in the electric panel and was able to tell me what was going on and since we already had another company come out for the water heater, tell that person as well. The next day, Mike came back to fix the dryer outlet, he told me exactly what he fixed, but I don?t remember the exact terms but I do know it had something to do with wires leading to the electric panel, and it was a fire hazard if not taken care of correctly. Then a few days later, my cousin called me to tell me the outlets in the living room and one bedroom weren't working! I called Bretco and spoke with Randy, who is also super sweet and although he did tell me they were pretty busy, I was able to get Mike back out 2 days later. Luckily, it was just loose wires leading to an outlet in a both rooms and Mike tightened them right up. My family is a one income household and we rent our home at a loss, so money is always tight. Knowing that when something goes wrong electrically, we know who to call and we trust them, makes all the difference in the world.

Two representatives of the company arrived on time, removed the GFI and installed a new one. The circuit is now working.

The electrician was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. I had a priority list of items I wanted to get done. We quickly went through the house and discussed each item. He approximated about how long it would take and went right to work. All tasks were completed as desired and in a timely manner with good workmanship. The first 2 hrs of service was $118 as a special on Angie's List, which was a good deal. The 3rd hour was at the companies normal rate, which is a little pricey compared to some others. Material cost were fair (new junction box, outlet, wiring). Overall, it was still a good deal when combined with the special on the first 2 hrs. Note, the clock starts ticking once the electrician starts their travel to the site, so that 2 hrs is more like 1:45. Check with the company to get their latest hourly rates.

1. I asked on the initial request and then when talking with their receptionist for Friday afternoon service. Yet on that Friday I got a call at around 8:30AM asking me if I'm ready for them to come at 9AM. I happen to be home by chance and could accommodate it. When you request and schedule certain time, you have to stick with it. 2. Technician knew what he was doing and did work very well, connecting switches and outlet and getting it hooked up in the box and ensuring that it does not conflict with other bathroom. He accomplished what I wanted him to accomplish. I wish I had more tasks for him for the remainder of the purchased time (he finished it under 90 minutes).

Electrician was on time. Very polite to both me and my wife. Did excellent work. Cleaned up after himself.

It went pretty well. We do like the work he did, but it did take a little longer than we anticipated, so we ended up spending 100 more dollars. He was professional, friendly and clean.

I was disappointed to learn that the 2 hours of time that I purchased, started when the electrician left the office. I cannot understand why I need to pay travel time for this service and find this practice to be unfair. The electrician did a great job, but only was able to complete some of the tasks I wanted done because the amount of time spent on travel took away from time I had purchased for actual work to be done.

They were great! Highly recommend! They worked efficiently, very polite, and the work dove was highly satisfactory! I will use the again.

The only problem was that the electrician sent to do the job got mixed up with his schedule somehow and showed up two hours late. Usually it is not a problem however, I took personal time from work to accommodate Bretco's normal work day which ends at 4:30. The electrician made it right for us though. He and his partner were very polite and professional. They repaired the fault quickly and did not charge us for the switch and wall plate as a courtesy for being late. We used their Angie's List discount ($118.00 for 2 hours of service.) and it was well worth it. I would definitely call them again if needed.

The work took very little time once they got started. I had asked that they give an estimate to wire for a washer dryer but they said they couldn't do it because of needing a larger panel in the basement. Two men came but only one did most of the work and the other surveyed the additional work that was to be done. I was told that the 2 hour time started when they left their office until they returned. I was also charged an additional $69 for the receptacles used. My feeling is that when advertising for 2 hours of work, the add should state that this is for labor only. With the exception of the receptacle in the bathroom, we could have replaced the other two plugs for next to nothing. I was also told that they would have someone call so that they could come out and give me an estimate on what I had wanted done but that never happened,
