Bretco Electric Company Inc

This is actually the second time that we have used Bretco. The first time we found ourselves without any power when the main breaker switch failed. Bretco responded quickly and even though the unit was old they were able to find a replacement part and we had power back in a fairly short period of time. The guys were great, so when e had a number of small reapirs that needed to be done on a house that we were selling, they were the first ones we thought of. Randy and Will were prompt and professional and did great work. They kept us informed of all issues and were able to work within the budget we had set. I'll keep this one on my speed dial and will gladly recommend them to anyone.

Will from Bretco is the most professional, competent technician/service provider I have dealt with. I can't say enough good things about him, and the company in general... he is very knowledge and knows what he is talking about. He was very careful about measuring (which was important with the 2 TVs and where they were being hung) and along with his helper Chase did a great job hanging the TVs. Will also fixed a number of miscellaneous issues by taking the time to actually research the problem (going up in the attic, moving insulation, etc) to address and fix the problems instead of trying to sell me an unnecessary replacement product (i.e. bathroom ceiling fan/light) when it wasn't necessary. He and Will were very nice and accommodating, arrived on time and overall were very professional. This is the first company I have found and selected solely on Angie's list reviews and I couldn't be more pleased. Bretco has now done extensive work at my Mom's house, fixing a number of issues with a home security system, motion detector lights, fixing wiring, etc. My mom has been dealing with Randy (the owner) and she has nothing but great things to say about him... including his professionalism, responsiveness and knowledge. If all vendors with an "A" rating on Angie's list are like this, I will be finding all my vendors from here! Bottom line - I highly recommend Bretco... they deserve the A rating they have.

Great. Fine job, No problems since job was finished. Fan is squeaks at high speed but not associated with installation.

me Warner came out to the house to move an inside cable connection from one wall to another. They came out late and told me they couldn't do the work. They offered no suggestions about what I could do to have to work done. I went online to Angie's List, checked the reviews for electricians and purchased a 2 hour job coupon for Bretco Electric to move my cable connection. TW indicated that it was a big deal to do this job if they could do it. I called Bretco and they set up an appointment for the same day, arrived 10 min. early and completed the job in 1 hour. I had some other electrical work that needed to be checked and fixed and they completed that in the other hour they were here. The extra charges for the parts for the cable job and other job was reasonable ($38) as well as the 2 hours of work ($118) .

Work was done on time after we finally got an estimate. The Bretco representative had the wrong email address the first time he tried to respond to us.

You get used to people in the building industry (a) not coming when they say they will, (b) not working a full day, and (c) taking longer than the estimate. This was a totally different experience. The company owner came to our house not once, but twice to adjust the estimate. He was responsive to what we wanted, told us what would and would not work, and presented an estimate in due course. He then showed up with two helpers. We were made aware that they were working a couple of jobs simultaneously and when they expected to start and finish. On the one day they could not arrive as scheduled, we were called and a new date was set. Within a week or so the rather extensive job was done skillfully. When one light proved not to function, they were prompt in taking care of it. We are very pleased with the professionalism of all the workers who were pleasant and careful while on our property. We got another estimate that was, in fact, lower. But we decided on this company on the basis of initial contacts, the way they listened to us, and how described what they would be able to do. We are not sorry to have gone with the higher estimate.

Will (the technician) showed up on time and was very courteous. He did a great job of figuring out what the problem was. This was no easy task since the problem was inside a slice box that was above a drop ceiling. He fixed the problem and cleaned up after his work was done. Great job. I will definitely call again.

This was the second time we have used Bretco Electric Company. Our first time was on 09/07/12 and we were so satisfied that they were our first choice for the installation of two ceiling fans on 9/28/12. From the initial phone call right up through completion of the job the quality of service was excellent. The electrician doing the installation took the time to explain various options and the relative pros and cons, demonstrated the finished products and cleaned up when finished. We will definitely call upon Bretco for any future electrical needs.

Called them on Wednesday and explained that 3 light switches in the kitchen area were not working. The owner said they would come the next day and would call before they came. Mike called Thursday mornig and said he was on the way. He showed up promptly and found the problem. The switch was wired incorrectly. Mike rewired the switch and added additional grounding wires.

Overall experience was excellent from initial phone call up through installation. Phone contacts were pleasant, courteous, helpful and very responsive to questions. The two electricians who came to do the work were top notch in skill, customer service and process/recommendation communications. We will be having them back soon to install a new ceiling fan.

Mike came out right on time and spent about an 2.75 hrs. tracking down the problem. Some wires entering a ceiling light had burned off insulation. Mike also corrected poor connections in three other places. He cleaned up his "mess" and gave us a discount for using Angie's List to select them for service. We were well pleased w/ Mike and the company - will use them in the future if needed.

I needed wiring for a tanning bed which is located in my basement. Unfortunately, it became very complicated because all the walls and ceilings are completely finished with dry wall. The first electrician that came to do the job told me that it could not be done without cutting through much of the drywall which would need extensive repair. Bretco Electric was the 2nd company I had come out and Mike came up with a solution, which he gave me an estimate on and then he did the job. He did a great job at a very reasonable rate. He was able to run the wires so that it could be hidden with some molding (which I was going to do anyway). I will be using them again and I would recommend them to my clients and friends.

Was not asked if I was a member of Angies list when I asked electricians both times. 2nd time I called owner he honored discount on 2nd day for both days. Electrical work was excellent. They are patient. Will use then for 2 more floors of house.

After the work was completed, the technician cleaned up his mess and vaccumed the carpet where he made the repair. The final charge of $225 included 2.5 hrs. labor at $85/hr. plus the cost of the new breaker. We were pleased with the service. I will use them again if the need arises.

Mr. Mike and Mr.Will arrived punctually and performed their job in highly professional manner. We were pleased with their work and would certainly use the company in the future.

They did an unusual job. We bought a gas powered generator to run our house in case our power went out. They did some complicated stuff to make sure it worked and the house did not blow up. They came back and came back and came back until we were comfortable with it. They did a remarkable job and they are our electricians for life. All I know is that they were here when they said they would be, they charged what they said they would, and the went above and beyond so that it was not only installed correctly but that we were comfortable using it.

It went quite well. I am pleasantly surprised and will call next month to have Bretco replace a kitchen ceiling fan and to check the wiring in a hall ceiling light fixture.

After a recent home inspection, we learned that some of our electrical wiring was not up to code. I called Bretco for an estimate. They asked for a copy of the electrical portion of the home inspection report and were able to give me an estimate later the same day. When I was ready to have the work done, I sent and email and received a call from Bretco within 12 hours of my email. They were able to schedule me for the very next day. Will arrived at my property on time. He was very courteous and professional. I showed him where all the work needed to be done and he got busy right away. He explained everything that he did and answered all my questions. He also pointed out some other potential safety issues that weren't urgent; but he wanted to bring them to my attention. I will certainly use Bretco the next time I need to have electrial work done.

I contacted Bretco Electric the afternoon before the service was performed and left a message. Randy called me back early that evening and we set the appointment for the following afternoon. Randy and Mike work very well together. Both are excellent technicians. They added electrical outlets to a wall where my new flatscreeen television and home theater will go. They installed a new cable jack on the same wall. I would definitely call on their services again.

Preston and his assistant were outstanding. Helpful, friendly, professional. They offered advice on potential electric situations that might arise in the future.

Contacted the company by email expecting a day or so response time - got a call back the same day. Call was scheduled quickly and they techs turned up right on time and started work without standing around discussing things... Techs were polite, cleanly dressed, and competent. They quickly identified the general location of the fault but this led them upstairs before they could track down what was causing the short. In the process of doing so, they (by default) checked a number of surrounding receptacles in the dining room and living room upstairs. They found one receptacle that had been badly installed - the tech's comment to me was "found this receptacle that was damaged - I replaced it as, although it wasn't dangerous, it was unusable and I couldn't leave it like that" - excellent! Overall an excellent job of work and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others - I know we will be using them for further work here!

It has been great. They were very polite. He was honest. I left the home here with him in it. He spent about four hours on an hour job. He took a lot of pains with it.

It worked out great. I was really happy. They got the job done quickly. They did quality work and the price was competitive.

The work was fine. They did a great job. They were on time and on schedule. They were very neat. They did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the results of all their work. Because it was electrical work they had to shut power down but they kept it to a minimum.
