I had purchased a big deal for the service and they were great. They did what they did for what they said. They also showed up when they said and helped us with our problem. We had to pay for Freon, but we knew we would have to pay for it, so it was expected. They were prompt, courteous, professional, explained what they were going to do and then went and did it. It was exactly what you would want an HVAC technician to do.

Working with Nicole (office) and Kevin (service technician) has proven to be an outstanding customer experience. Both are extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Kevin is prompt and excellent at troubleshooting any operational problems with the HVAC systems. He has adjusted the air flow in the upstairs bedroom which really helps in the summer months and he recently repaired a problem I was having with the remote for an auxiliary unit. RJS does not "oversell" when it comes to troubleshooting. They provide reasonably priced options for repair and deliver on their promises.

I called three or four different companies listed on Angie's List to get an estimate before deciding to use RJS. They gave me prompt and accurate pricing and I was pleased with their professionalism. I ended up choosing to sign up for their Maintenance Program, it fit my needs and gave me a good deal (especially with a $25-off coupon from their website)! Service technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and patient with my obvious inexperience with all things heating & air. The service call went much later than expected, I had purchased an incompatible thermostat for the system. Technician waited patiently for me to run to Home Depot to exchange. Technician advised on overall health of system and recommended an fan relay switch replacement asap. I read over a few of the reviews left by others and wanted to emphasize that I did not ever feel that I was being delivered a "sales pitch", nor did I feel pushed or pressured into making additional purchases. He was very laid back, answered my constant flow of questions with ease, and I felt comfortable having him in my home.

We've used RJS for years. Always punctual and great to work with.

Installers did not follow posted onsite "no smoking" policy. Systems did not perform well. Both outside air exchange units failed within first 8 years of use, requiring >$5,000 repair or replacement due to corrosion of components. Upstairs system never adequately cooled, even though the unit was technically oversized for space per specifications. Neither builder nor RJS were forthcoming in preventing these problems or identifying resolutions.

Seemed to have a canned sales pitch. Not interested in working with me to accomplish my needs. More interested in selling me equipment. Failed to discuss the ductwork until I brought it up. Asked for estimates to replace ductwork and to modify existing, only provided the full replacement estimate despite a second request. Despite my neighbor liking them, I selected a different company.

The technician is friendly and explains what he's doing well, and because our units have continued to run without problems, we're satisfied with the service. However, for his first visit, we had to move a piece of furniture to permit access to the attic for the upstairs unit, and he left without offering to help put it back in place. He may not have felt obligated to do it, but it would have been appropriate to help or at least offer. We've since rearranged the furniture so that won't happen again. But on two separate maintenance visits, he has left the access cover open to the space under the house where the dehumidifier is located, and that is unacceptable. We've had other workers access the attic and under the house, and not had anyone else leave things differently then they were found. While we're mainly interested in the actual work/evaluation of our units, this kind of lack of attention to detail is concerning. It can make a customer wonder if there are anything else is being left undone. Hence the "B" rating. Nice people, but need more attention to detail.

The staff from RJS was wonderful but were not agents for our particular brand of mini-split system. Our problems resulted from poor installation of the units - not something that RJS could manage since they were not the installers. Too bad they weren't!

I also use them for my HVAC. Since I have always had great service I used them for crawl space work. More than other quotes but the dehumidifier was an industrial grade where other companies used basically a household appliance.

Our technician has been thorough. He's been great about explaining issues, how he's fixing it, what we can expect with the units over the next months and years. Overall I am very pleased with this company.

They were good, but I found a better service provider. I had another company come out that did a survey of my home to give me a more accurate estimate that adjusted to my needs better.

Outstanding. These guys are phenomenal. We have used RJS Heating and Air for years and they are reliable, professional, honest, and most important, helpful, especially in an area that I dont understand that well. Just a story to show you how great they are. We enclosed our patio and wanted air conditioning in the enclosed space. We got a $3500 dollar estimate for portable units from other companies. RJS came out and suggested a different option. They did it for $400 dollars, and it works fine. I cant say enough praise about this company

They did an excellent job with the installation! We haven’t any trouble with the system since purchasing it 3 years ago. The unit was under a government rebate program for being “green” so it was a pretty good deal for us. The carrier company also had a rebate. Overall, we are very happy.

RJS always does great service. The technicians are very punctual and also will do everything they can to keep cost down. I just have been very pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs this type of work. When it is time for my maintenance, they contact me and my renters to find a good time to come out. They are very accommodating to my schedule. I see no room for improvements. I like the techs that come out and Nicole who schedules the appointments.

They were a superb company to work with. This was an emergency situation on a Saturday. They sent out a technician to properly diagnose the problem that day and came back out on the Monday to do the repair. Since the repair, there have been no issues with the system. They told me the technician would not leave until he knew the problem was 110% fixed. He showed me what work needed to be done and how he was going to fix it, which I appreciated. I cannot think of anything they could have for me to make the experience better. I feel like the people I dealt with were very honest and trustworthy.

Everything was done as described and in time frame promised.

My unit was not cooling properly. RJS initially replaced the coil and that still didn't fix the problem. They came back out and determined the compressor was the issue. Looking at all factors associated with this unit, it was determined that a new unit would be most beneficial. They worked with us on cost based what was incurred initially.

I purposely did not write this review until a few months after the installation of the heat pump and air handler. The unit is working great. Our old heat pump was a Carrier and lasted roughly 15 years. We got quotes from 3 or 4 mechanical contractors. Although RJS was not the cheapest they definately were not the most expensive either. They are a dealer for Carrrier and since our last one lasted so many years we felt comfortable going with them. The unit has worked fantastic since we installed it. Our electricity bills have dropped significiently. The upstairs feels much more comfortable especially in the room over the garage where there is vaulted ceilings. Our downstairs unit is also old and probably only has a few years left (hopefully) and RJS will definatley be the contractor we call to replace that one.

RJS was able to do the work within 3 days for the price quoted. I had checked the price elsewhere and they were about $100 lower. The owner then called me and told me we could get 18 months financing same as cash. When I had an airflow problem they came out and fixed it for no charge. They followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

I called them and they came down. It was one night. They told me it would be $143. They came down that night. We had to turn of our air conditioning. When he came, he told us what it was and he said I hope it didn't damage the motor. I have to find out if we can get the parts, when we can get the parts and if they have them on hand and if they do, I should be able to come back tomorrow so we said fine. They called that they had the parts but they said that they wouldn't be able to do it that following day. They came but we didn't know what time they would be here. They called up at 4 o'clock, he had to put in a blower wheel and once he did he came down from the attic and he says that it had damaged the motor. He had brought a motor along and he said that he would have to install that and that would be an additional $663 and the whole thing comes to $1,113 but I need it so I have no choice. He fixed it and he was at our home for maybe an hour and a half. I paid it and then when he was bringing the motor down from the attic, he dropped the motor. It bounced off the wall and hit the hardwood floors. He damaged the wall, he damaged the molding, he damaged the hardwood floors. He didn't say anything and when he was going out I said I hope your company has insurance. He took a picture and I will report this to the owner. The next day I called and I talked to the girl and I explained to her what had happened and then I spoke to the owner and he said just tell me how much it's going to be so I did that. In the meantime, I found out it was under warranty so I called the company and called them and they said we will have to return the pack and we'll have to find out how much it was. I spoke to the clerk in the office first and I asked how much money I would be getting back and the way she presented it, she had me so confused. How did it go? At least they were willing to listen to me. He did the work and he did it well. He was prompt. I must say that I was very fortunate in the first time of using them that they came out one night and they came back next day to repair it so I'm appreciative of that. It was aggravating but it worked out fine for us. His work was excellent. He was fine in instructing us what he was going to do. I was annoyed about being charged overtime when he wasn't but the owner straightened it all out and reimbursed me which I think is a very satisfactory amount. They were very responsive. They were very punctual too.

It went great! We're in a cool house and we still have money in the piggy bank:)
