Outstanding.  These guys are phenomenal.  We have used RJS Heating and Air for years and they are reliable, professional, honest, and most important, helpful, especially in an area that I dont understand that well.

Just a story to show you how great they are.  We enclosed our patio and wanted air conditioning in the enclosed space.  We got a $3500 dollar estimate for portable units from other companies.  RJS came out and suggested a different option.  They did it for $400 dollars, and it works fine.

They did an excellent job with the installation! We haven’t any trouble with the system since purchasing it 3 years ago. The unit was under a government rebate program for being “green” so it was a pretty good deal for us. The carrier company also had a rebate. Overall, we are very happy.

They were a superb company to work with. This was an emergency situation on a Saturday. They sent out a technician to properly diagnose the problem that day and came back out on the Monday to do the repair. Since the repair, there have been no issues with the system. They told me the technician would not leave until he knew the problem was 110% fixed. He showed me what work needed to be done and how he was going to fix it, which I appreciated. I cannot think of anything they could have for me to make the experience better. I feel like the people I dealt with were very honest and trustworthy.

RJS always does great service. The technicians are very punctual and also will do everything they can to keep cost down. I just have been very pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs this type of work. When it is time for my maintenance, they contact me and my renters to find a good time to come out. They are very accommodating to my schedule. I see no room for improvements. I like the techs that come out and Nicole who schedules the appointments.

My unit was not cooling properly. RJS initially replaced the coil and that still didn't fix the problem. They came back out and determined the compressor was the issue. Looking at all factors associated with this unit, it was determined that a new unit would be most beneficial. They worked with us on cost based what was incurred initially.

I purposely did not write this review until a few months after the installation of the heat  pump and air handler.  The unit is working great.  Our old heat pump was a Carrier and lasted roughly 15 years.  We got quotes from 3 or 4 mechanical contractors.  Although RJS was not the cheapest they definately were not the most expensive either.  They are a dealer for Carrrier and since our last one lasted so many years we felt comfortable going with them.  The unit has worked fantastic since we installed it.  Our electricity bills have dropped significiently.  The upstairs feels much more comfortable especially in the room over the garage where there is vaulted ceilings.  Our downstairs unit is also old and probably only has a few years left (hopefully) and RJS will definatley be the contractor we call to replace that one.

RJS was able to do the work within 3 days for the price quoted.  I had checked the price elsewhere and they were about $100 lower.  The owner then called me and told me we could get 18 months financing same as cash.  When I had an airflow problem they came out and fixed it for no charge.  They followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

I called them and they came down. It was one night. They told me it would be $143. They came down that night. We had to turn of our air conditioning. When he came, he told us what it was and he said I hope it didn't damage the motor. I have to find out if we can get the parts, when we can get the parts and if they have them on hand and if they do, I should be able to come back tomorrow so we said fine. They called that they had the parts but they said that they wouldn't be able to do it that following day. They came but we didn't know what time they would be here. They called up at 4 o'clock, he had to put in a blower wheel and once he did he came down from the attic and he says that it had damaged the motor. He had brought a motor along and he said that he would have to install that and that would be an additional $663 and the whole thing comes to $1,113 but I need it so I have no choice. He fixed it and he was at our home for maybe an hour and a half. I paid it and then when he was bringing the motor down from the attic, he dropped the motor. It bounced off the wall and hit the hardwood floors. He damaged the wall, he damaged the molding, he damaged the hardwood floors. He didn't say anything and when he was going out I said I hope your company has insurance. He took a picture and I will report this to the owner. The next day I called and I talked to the girl and I explained to her what had happened and then I spoke to the owner and he said just tell me how much it's going to be so I did that. In the meantime, I found out it was under warranty so I called the company and called them and they said we will have to return the pack and we'll have to find out how much it was. I spoke to the clerk in the office first and I asked how much money I would be getting back and the way she presented it, she had me so confused. How did it go? At least they were willing to listen to me. He did the work and he did it well. He was prompt. I must say that I was very fortunate in the first time of using them that they came out one night and they came back next day to repair it so I'm appreciative of that. It was aggravating but it worked out fine for us. His work was excellent. He was fine in instructing us what he was going to do. I was annoyed about being charged overtime when he wasn't but the owner straightened it all out and reimbursed me which I think is a very satisfactory amount. They were very responsive. They were very punctual too.

I contacted RJ's on July 30, 2013, and requested a service call because the air conditioner was not cooling.  Bryan Adams was able to come that day, and I had a proposal to replace the unit, and the gas furnace, that evening.  Our systems were 18 years old, so I gave them the approval.  Work was scheduled for August 6, 2013.  In the meantime, RJ's came out and coaxed my current unit into cooling until the replacement.  If not, they had promised window air units until the 6th.  You don't mind waiting as long as you're cool.
On the 6th, Jason and Jamie appeared promptly at 8 a.m., and everything was installed by that evening.  Carpets were covered with drop clothes, and booties were worn in the house.  When they cleaned up that evening, they vacuumed where they had worked.  Both installers worked hard all day, and were extremely professional.  The old units were removed and disposed of by them also.
The inspection went well, and we are now enjoying our purchase.  I would highly recommend RJ's!

duct work was the hardest, they went under the house removed all the 35 year old ducts and replaced them with new ducts.  The tested each vent in the house to ensure proper seal. Took 3 days and went on schedule

Provider was very thorough, explained function of programable thermostat thoroughly, gave advice on improving effiecency of units, pumped out standing water in upstairs HVAC unit where slant of drip pan was preventing outflow, fixed angle to prevent water collection in the future. Was very friendly and personable. Raked debris away from units. The cost was for our service contracts offered by RJS, which includes twice per year service evaluations of our 2 units and dehumdifier. I was very impressed with the work, friendliness, and personality of our service provider, Kevin.

I recently purchased ths home and knew that the heat pump was low on refrigerant and likly had a leak. I found a discount deal through Angie's list for an inspection of the system offered by RJS Heating and Air Conditioning. I purchased the deal and the same day the dispatcher for RJS contacted me and set up an appointment for the spring inspection of my heat pump. The technician called me the day of the appointment and told me he was on his way. He arrived right on time, inspected the system thoroughly and found a problem. I needed to replace the system as it was 15 years old and would just continue to have problems. A couple of days later the salesman from RJS called and came to the house to talk about the replacement. I had him email me several proposals. I did not use them to replace the unit for several reasons. However I would use them again for service.

The plumber called earlier in the day and came earlier that expected. That was so great. They were very knowledgeable and explained in detail the removal and replacement of the 50 gal water heater. They were quick and nice. They also fixed my leaky kitchen faucet at no extra charge. They spilled some rust on the carpet and a rug as they removed the old tank but immediately cleaned it right up. Just loved them!

Technician (Kevin) was very punctual and professional.  As he inspected the system, he explained what he was doing as he was doing it, and giving helpful care tips as he went along.  At my request, he installed a digital thermostat.  Also at my request, he explained and established a maintenance agreement.  Excellent work!
