It cost me more than I expected for the locks (which Steve got for me) but he was correct in that the quality of the locks and door handles was much, much better than what I had. Steve, the owner/technician, was very professional and called about an hour before our scheduled appointment to tell me he would be a little late. He arrived according to his estimated time and performed the re-key activity, 12 cylinders in all, in about an hour and a half. He gave me a discount for being an Angie's List subscriber and stated that he "loves Angie's List". Steve said that Angie's List is his best advertising, next to word of mouth! I would recommend him for all your locksmith needs and would this vendor again, if necessary!

Steve was very helpful in replacing locks and re-keying locks in my elderly father's home and camper which is in another town than where I live. He was prompt and completed the work. Steve was able to accommodate my short time frame of availability, and his work exceeded my expectations.

We needed to have new keys made and locks changed on a home we had just purchased. Overall the service was excellent. Steve Gallian was great - called to ask if he could replace all of the locks in our house. He said that might not be necessary, that he might be able to re-key them and save me some money - which he did! He happened to be available the afternoon I called and came right over. The short version is that Steve is a professional whose work is top-flight. He came out and gave an estimate, the details of which he talked us through as we walked to each lock. He educated us where possible. He did NOT try to sell us a lock for a sliding glass door, but instead, spoke of an alternate "best solution" for the least amount of expense. On a particularly difficult lock, Steve let us know upfront that he would not be able to tell whether it was repairable until he actually got it off the door. In short, he was smart, honest, and inspired trust immediately. His price was absolutely fair. So fair that I would have tipped him more but my husband ended up being the one to pay. Steve scheduled our estimate and work quickly, which was great. When he knew he would be about 20 minutes late on the service date, he phoned ahead. It's a pleasure to be able to write about Steve on Angies List because this is the place we come to hire most of our contractors. We will recommend Gallian to anyone who asks about a locksmith. Endnote: BTW, he fixed the difficult, tricky, rickety old lock that had to be removed first. It now works just fine!
