Steve was prompt in answering my initial call, prompt in scheduling (including asking to arrive earlier), and was right on time for the appointment. He assessed the work to be performed and didn't mind that I added on changing out a doorknob. He left everything as clean as he found it and was very kind. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him!

The replacement of the door knob and deadbolt were easy. When he went to install the door closer, there was nothing to mount it to besides drywall. He had to tear the door molding and install a 2x4 to mount the closer to. At first I wasn't too happy, but he did a fabulous job and the closer works wonderfully!! He cleaned up and was respectful when I had customers. Would definitely recommend and use again!

Steve arrived promptly; worked neatly and professionally; reasonable fee: $65 for service call and only $10 for each lock that was changed/installed.

Steve is absolutely wonderful!! He responded quickly to our inquiry and came out timely to give us an estimate. Knowing that we had lost our house key somewhere in the vacinity of the house he came right back out on a Saturady to do the work, at no extra "weekened charge". He installed new deadbolt locks on two doors and made us extra keys. But most impressive... We have a house that is more than a hundred years old. One of the old doorknobs/locks had not worked in years and we did not think it could be repaired. Steve got it working again!!! Experience sure makes a difference!! Steve is not only knowledegable, he is a pleasure to work with.

A neighbor recommended Gallian Lock & Key to us. He was doing some work on her house and offered to come to ours and give us an estimate of the work, which he did. I liked him immediately and he gave me some information on how secure our home system already was. He wasn't trying to sell me anything, which I appreciate. We set up an appointment for the next week. Steve arrived right on time, went right to work and was done in a half hour or so. He cleaned up after himself and was totally professional. Our invoice was for slightly less than his quote. Super nice guy, excellent work. He has a client for life here!

Although we did not use this provider, I am rating him because of his lack of knowledge of what we needed. We had purchased a keyless coded lock system that we needed installed on our door to replace the standard lock and key. He had never heard of it but he said he would research it and get back to us. We called Island Lock & Key and he knew exactly what we were talking about. Gallian Lock never called us back.

Arrived as promised and resolved issue with the keyless lock on my door, ensuring it continues to work properly. Very important to me, as I rely on this lock and had experienced some minor issues with it.

We first used Steve Gallian about four years ago after reading positive reviews on Angle's list. Now, it would be hard to consider any other locksmith. His competency level is off the chart, but equally important is the fact that we have complete trust in Steve. When someone is keying the locks to your home, you need to feel confident that the individual is trustworthy in every respect. Steve isn't someone who shows up, does the most expedient thing possible and then takes off. On this occasion, we had a complicated problem because the previous homeowner had installed locks from overseas that are not replaceable. Putting new locks on, cutting new holes, etc was going to be a major task at a cost that we didn't want to even consider. Steve spent some time looking at every piece and then said, "I think I can just special order new cylinders and that will take care of the issue." He also noted that many foreign locks are longer (requiring a longer key) and that causes issues. Within a week, we had three new cylinders instead of several thousand dollars worth of new locks and we could at last get into and out of our doors easily! On today's follow-up visit, several months later, he oiled two of our locks and made 4 new keys for us. From now on, we won't bother with getting replacement keys from anywhere else!

Steve was the only person out of three different locksmiths who could retrieve key without damaging the car. The other locksmiths wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars to disassemble the steering column and ignition switch. He was extremely knowledgeable and quick. I wish he would have been the first person that I called. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Best locksmith in town hands down!

We had a LOT of locks we wanted rekeyed when we moved into our new home. I was being given obscene prices to rekey locks, until I called Gallian. His pricing was excellent, he was prompt, professional and I would gladly use his services again. He is wonderful!

My Gallian was so wonderfful. He was available within the day we called him, and he completed the task to our complete satisfaction . He was personally very pleasant and nice to be around. He was very professional in his work. We would recommend him and his company at any time to someone who needs a locksmith.

One week ago I sent a message to Gallian, I still haven't heard anything from them. I wanted a quote to install 6 locks at a house I just bought. ISLAND LOCK AND KEY 9107995395 responded promptly and professionally. I used them and they did a great job!!

I researched and found Gallian Lock and Safe for my elderly parents. They contacted Mr. Gallian and arranged for his service visit. They called me later that evening letting me know how impressed they were with Mr. Gallian and the service he provided. They will most certainly recommend him to anyone needing locks or lock replacements. They truly couldn't say enough kind things about their experience.

After a brief discussion with Mr. Gallian about my best options for maximum security, I chose double cylinder deadbolts for the front and exterior garage doors, a single cylinder deadbolt for the interior garage/kitchen door, and a mortise lock for an exterior bedroom door. One of the locks had to be ordered and it took longer than anticipated for it to arrive. This, in addition to some difficulties during installation, made the duration of the process from first phone call to work completion to be about 2 weeks. Mr. Gallian was extraordinarily generous in providing a free component for the mortise lock he happened to have on hand and he also made 2 wooden track blockers (at no charge) so I could secure my sliding doors. I highly recommend his services and would use him again if the need arose.

Overall, it went very well. Only negative is that they charge $2.50 per mile one way in addition to the $65 service fee. This makes them somewhat expensive.

Located Gallian Lock &safe via Angie's list. Called on a Monday described the work and received a verbal quote. Scheduled service for Friday. Steve arrived on time, was highly professional, completed the work within approximately one hour. Actual cost tracked with phone quote so no surprises there. I would highly recommend Gallian Lock & Safe.

Re-keyed the front door lock and made extra keys. Arrived a few minutes early and was done in under 30 minutes. Very coureous and professional.

Steve came over to a home I just purchased and rekeyed all of the locks. It took him about an hour and I thought his pricing was very reasonable to go along with the good professional demeanor. One of the locks in the house was broken so he was unable to rekey it but Steve informed me that if I take the house key to Lowes or Home Depot they can key an appropriate lock to match my key before I leave the store. I'm perfectly comfotable swapping out a lockset but I didn't know that the hardware store could rekey a lock you purchase there so I was very appreciative of the information. Overall I'm very satisfied and will absolutely call Steve at Gallian again the next time I need a locksmith.
