Clean Sweep

Very very nice people, well organized and efficient. I hired them based off other reviews on here and was not disappointed. There were 4 people here for 4.5 hours and they worked steady the entire time. I think each person had a 10 minute break while they were here, but other than that there was no standing around. House was very clean, she insisted I thoroughly check each room to ensure I was happy. Even months later we did not find anything they over looked or missed. I would recommend hiring them. The price was in the middle of other companies - some were cheaper - some were much more. I feel she is a good value.

Some of the cleaners used in the deep clean left a residue on the floors. We switched to milder cleaners for future cleanings. We're setting up a cleaning information sheet in the house so the team can remind themselves of our personal preferences so things are always done the way we like it. The most important thing about this company is that they work very hard while they are in your home. They are flexible to your personal requests and work hard for the money you're paying them. We feel that the prices are fair for the work they put in, and would recommend them to others.

First, I am appreciative that Clean Sweep came to my rescue when I was scheduled to host a work event in my home on less than two day's notice. Kathryn rearranged her day to meet me. She arrived 30 minutes later than she had targeted, but she was coming from the other side of town through lunch time traffic, which I'm sure contributed to that. I used to clean houses myself, but this is the first time I've hired a service. Even though I cleared all clutter in preparation, the house needed a thorough dusting and I pointed out that the floors were a mess from a weekend of trapsing in an out of the yard. Kathryn and I agreed on a "top to bottom" deep clean and she assured me it would require the full quote ($250 - $20 Angie's List coupon). Since all the clutter from the house was tossed behind closed doors I specifically asked that they not look behind the bedroom doors. Kathryn reassured me that she does not open closed doors. The following items are notes from my experience with Clean Sweep: I leave my yard shoes by the inside door mat and did so today as well. They were the only shoes left out. When I came home I found them placed in my bedroom. I'm sure Clean Sweep was trying to be helpful by puting them out of sight, but as I specifically asked that they not go into any of the rooms and trusted Kathryn when she assured me that she doesn't open closed doors, it did feel a little violating. It seemed underneath the kitchen table was missed during sweeping and mopping, as were the edges around the area rug (I usually peel the rug back to be sure I get the dirt that falls on the sides). The product they used made the floor a little sticky so we could see shoe prints after just a few hours. I swept and mopped the kitchen floor again myself. I also cleaned a number of dirty drip spots throughout the kitchen. I suspect this was from using a drippy, dirty rag since I found dirty run lines in the microwave and drips on the stove. I'm sad to report that during the cleaning process one of my mother's vintage canning jars was broken. I understand things like this do occasionally happen, but I was very disappointed that Kathryn didn't call to let me know, email, or leave a note despite having my cell, work, and email address. Instead, the jar was just put back in its place, lid missing and shards inside the jar. I didn't specifically ask Kathryn to dust for cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, but assumed this was included in a top to bottom deep clean. This is not a criticism, but a note for others to be specific regarding your expectations. The bathroom was nicely done. I was impressed that the tub was so clean! Also, the bookshelves were wiped down very well. Kathryn and her colleague were very nice. They mentioned that they thought they would have the afternoon off, but instead made a last minute appointment with me which I very much appreciated. During her assessment of the house I was impressed that Kathryn tested for dust in a number of areas often missed (door frames, for example). However, for the money I paid, I wouldn't expect to have to redo any of the work and therefore was disappointed with the final result. Kathryn told me that poor reviews on Angie's List upset her and I'm sorry to think she'll be upset to read this, but wanted to give comprehensive feedback.

Kathryn and her colleauge stayed in touch by phone to let me know their arrival time, which was in the agreed time range. The porch rockers looked fantastic, and the bathrooms looked really great. The kitchen floor (which had been very dirty when they got there) looked good although I would rate that a B instead of an A. The living room and kids rooms were great. In the kids rooms they did an A+ job with dusting, especially since it required moving a lot of my kids stuff! I would definitely call Clean Sweep again, it was a great value and it's great to support a local business.

First, I give Clean Sweep (Kathyrn and her crew) A+ for effort, and they were very personable, likable people. However, Clean Sweep provided 3 people, 5hrs+ (approx 15 hrs total)@ 1st attempt/1st day, plus, 2 people, 2-3 hrs (approx 5-6hrs total) @ call back/2nd attempt for a cost of $250. I still found some things not cleaned. Twice before Clean Sweep I have hired insured, bonded housecleaning companies (don't know whether Clean Sweep is) to detail-clean my townhome. Both provided 2 people, 4hrs or less (approx 8hrs total) both times--no callbacks/2nd attempts needed; highest cost was $210. In summary: Clean Sweep charged max dollar, provided excessive time and effort, but the quality of service fell waaay short.

They were punctual, she explained what they would do and that the price would be higher due to so much crown molding in our house. They did a great and thorough job on the woodwork and everything else that they said they would do.

Despite forgetting they had an appointment set with us, Katherine and her team did a wonderful job cleaning. They were two hours late and spent four hours cleaning. We set another appointment, however they stated they were unable to clean because no one was home and the key was left for them and directions given prior to the appointment. Despite the good cleaning, they were unreliable and therefore we opted not to ask them back. We need someone who is punctual, reliable, and trustworthy and they were not a good fit for us.

I am still using Clean Sweep. Their work is great. They are very meticulous. I am going to keep on using them

If you have anything specific you need her to do, just tell her. She instinctively knows what needs to be done, but is very open to things you need done differently.

Kathryn and her crew have been cleaning our home for over 3 months and remain consistently on time and thorough. The house always smells great when they've been here!

Kathryn and her team were prompt, courteous, professional, and very thorough. They did an outstanding job and I was very pleased with the cleaning service and the level of effort to make sure the house was not only clean from top to bottom, but to make sure I was pleased with the cleaning. Kathryn insisted I inspect the entire house and making certain I was completely satisfied before the job was done. She and her crew spent nearly 4 hours at my house and the worked non-stop. The work ethic and pride in her work was very impressive and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great cleaning service. I intend to use her on a monthly basis to maintain the cleaning in our house. I would highly recommend Clean Sweep.

Great service in the Oak Island NC area!

I was very pleased with the Clean Sweep service. Kathryn and her team arrived within the time specified and called to confirm the time she would be there. This was a rental home in need of a deep cleaning and the team stayed for multiple hours until the job was done. The house was cleaned better than expected. Even though the grout within our tile didn't come clean, Kathryn suggested a product to apply. I was happy with the service Clean Sweep provided.

Since this was our rental home, we had a neighbor leave the key, and Kathryn and her team went right to work. When my family arrived the next evening, we were very impressed by the cleaning thoroughness. The house smelled and looked great. We couldn't find a spec of dust or grime anywhere. From this day forward, we will use Kathryn's services.

Trashed rental with lots of grime they came in large crew and knocked it right out. No lolly gagging reasonable price lots of bang for the buck. They also squeezed it in a tight schedule i would highly recommend.

Kathryn and her group of 7 cleaners did a phenomenal job on our home! Our home has been a construction site for 6 months and had been previously occupied before that - thus leaving us with a Major clean up job. Kathryn and her crew devoted the better half of a day to our cleaning job and it absolutely SPARKLED by the time they left! No corner of the home was left untouched - from the inside of cabinets to both fridges to baseboards and walls. Even our highly-carved grandfather clock looked like it was new! I highly recommend Kathryn and will use her as my regular housekeepers from now on! First the first time in a long time - our house/construction site looked like a home!

They arrive on time, get right to work, and do a thorough job. Kathryn remembers and passes on special instructions such as not putting furniture polish on a veneered table. When I told Kathryn that my husband is very sensitive to chemicals, she did online research to find products that would do a quality job but not cause an allergic reaction. I'm thankful that I found her on Angie's List and intend to keep using her services. She and her crew have also done extras like replacing a light bulb in a fixture that I couldn't reach easily. I happily recommend them to anyone who wants a truly professional job.

As usual, they were here on time, and did a great job, I will keep using their services for the foreseeable future.

Kathryn and her crew arrived on time and did an amazing job. Kathryn walked through the house with me to be sure she knew what I wanted and needed and pointed out things I hadn't noticed. Then they got to work, and boy, did they work. They are all friendly as well as industrious. Kathryn coordinates the work and checks everything to be sure it's done to her and my satisfaction. They took particular care to look out for our cat who is wary of strangers. The whole job only took 3-1/2 hours, but the results were everything I could have hoped for and more. Before she left, Kathryn walked through the house with me again to be sure I was satisfied. She is clearly dedicated to satisfying her customers, a rare mindset in today's hury-up-and-cut-corners world. I have already arranged to have them come back every two weeks to keep everything ship shape. I recommend them enthusiastically to anyone who wants a thorough job done on time by true professionals.

Clean Sweep's Kathryn Price and her team were a Godsend arranging to come in at our convenience and on short notice to work around boxes and pets as we tried to settle in a new home for the holidays on the day before Thanksgiving. Although we rearranged Clean Sweep's normal approach to accommodate our needs, they managed to do an outstanding pre-holiday job and have been perfecting doing the place to my demanding specifications in bi-weekly visits -- now with an extra tall ladder to better reach high ceiling light fixtures and next time a squeegee for shower doors. If this level of attention to detail is maintained this will be a long term arrangement.
