We have no phone number nor email to contact you. We are also disappointed Angie's List could not assist us contacting you on your purchase. Description of Work: the technician was very nice and punctual but he had to come back several times to fix a leaky toilet. Don't remember when I had it done and price but believe it was within the last 2 years.

Thank you for your review. The work was completed in 2013. You are correct we returned a few times to correct this issue under warranty at no charge. We apologize about the inconvenience to correct the issue. We do however stand behind our work and offer a two year warranty on the repairs. We are prompt to respond. Please accept a $50 credit on your account towards future services for your time. We want to show we can do better.

We also discussed with you having maintenance done. We did not perform any services other than arriving on time, diagnosing your problem, and reporting our findings. We are not sure how this earned us an F rating.

Thanks for your review. Your opinion is important to us. We researched your concern. We found that the estimates you received do not match. Our estimate included permits/ inspections, code upgrades, and warranties. We did not find the required permit nor inspection recorded with NHC inspections office on the completed work performed by our competitor. This is required by law. Logic will tell you our competitor gave you a cheaper price because they broke the law. This is not only unethical but also a safety concern for you. We advise that you contact this plumber and demand this inspection be completed to protect yourself. A plumber that does not complete required permits and inspections usually cuts corners on their projects. Homeowner's at times do not understand what estimates include. We urge owners to review estimates and compare closely. MOST IMPORTANT - MAKE SURE THE WORK IS DONE TO CODES FOR YOUR SAFETY AND RESALE VALUE OF YOUR HOME.

Description of Work: I asked for a technician to show me how to work my water conditioner system. All I wanted was instructions to run my water conditioning systems. The technician informed me my system was obsolete and a total replacement was necessary. My system works just fine. I got the instructions off the internet. So if you are looking for total replacement of your systems call them. If you just want to know how to turn it on go to the internet.

We offer these options as we understand each customer is unique and different. While some may choose to repair an item that is aged, others may want to replace with a higher efficiency and feature. Again, it is about offering options to our clients so they can make educated decisions. We are sorry to hear that the $59 to look at your water softener, test the water, and assist you with your request did not seem like a value. We offer these services at a low cost but we most also cover our costs like gas, pay, and training. We hope you consider these items and choose our services in the future.

Description of Work: First of all their advertising is very misleading. They will pay you $5 per minute for every minute they are late. You have to agree to a higher per hour cost for their services to get this deal, about $20 more per hour. I had a small water heater for the 2 baths in the back of the house that needed replacing. It was located above a closet in the master bath. They quoted me a price based on 2 people and taking a total of 6 hours (12 man hours). They finished the job in 3 hours and would not negotiate the price until I talked to the general manager. Even then, he gave me all kinds of crap and only dropped the price $100. Would NOT recommend

Description of Work: After explaining that I was calling 3 companies to get estimates to have a water line hooked up, 15 minutes on the phone (3 minutes on hold to be switched to person #2) , and giving the entire explanation and my contact information to both people, I was told that they charge $59 to come out...that charge would be waived if they were to do the work immediately. So I then asked if they could give me a ballpark on what this service usually costs, and they said they had no idea. OK, so they do NOT give estimates. Beware.

Thank you for the review. At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing we will never give a "ballpark" estimate over the phone. This is rarley in the favor of the customer. Be aware of companies doing this. We do things different for our customers. We have a licensed plumber look at your issue and give you a price in writing on site. We are very straight forward with any charges you will incur for the service being performed. We do not hide any fees or prices that cause sticker shock. Our goal is to save you time and money. Please understand if we did not charge for our time and gas we woud have to make it up somewhere else. We don't feel passing these costs to our current clients is fair. We feel $59 for a qualified plumber to come to your home, spend time looking at your project, and giving you a "real" price to complete it is very fair to you. How can a legit company give you a price without looking at the work over the phone? We will never give low ball pricing just to get in front of a customer. Our call volume can get very high at times. We understand your time is important. We will review our recorded phones to insure the quality of your call.
