Mr. Hansen is punctual, friendly and a very competent plumber. His diagnosis of plumbing problems is accurate and the repairs/installations he did have held up very well. We felt that the cost was fair for the services rendered.

It was one of those rare life experiences where I had to question: "Did that really just happen - a plumber who was on time, genuinely cared about my problem, fixed it perfectly, performed a full plumbing inspection and then charged me a fair price?" Needless to say, I am extremely satisfied with John's professionalism and workmanship. John is a great listener and took the time answer many questions I had about bathroom remodeling, and updating my well with a garden spigot, re-routing the water line and adding on a manual pump. He gave me excellent advice and insight. When I am ready for my big projects, John is the only plumber I will be calling.

I called NC Master Plumber on the afternoon of Wednesday, 24 July after identifying old leaky pipes in the crawl space at the VFW in Lillington. The proprietor, John Hansen, agreed to meet the next morning at 9 a.m. to provide an estimate. He arrived at about 9:30 and immediately went to work. By 10:00 he estimated that the job would take 1 to 1 1/2 days to complete and provided a ballpark figure for labor and materials, most of which he was carrying on his service van. We agreed to his terms and he got right to work dismantling and removing the old plumbing and installing new water lines, streamlining the existing plumbing layout to minimize the amount of material used. For a one-man operation, he was quick and efficient, completing the job by 4:30. Besides being a great plumber, John was friendly and affable. He is the most responsive plumber I've ever worked with. He didn't hesitate to ask questions or make recommendations about the job we asked him to do. This is the second time I've dealt with NC Master Plumber, and would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend his services to others.

Before I found John, I used many plumbers while renovating my 85 year old house in Raleigh. It was great to finally find a professional who could bring my mess of cast iron, copper, galvanized and pex plumbing up to code.

John contacted me the same day I sent an e-mail request. I told him what I needed and he gave me an estimate and set an appointment up for the following day. Since I was going to be at work when he came, he told me I could mail him a check. He arrived on time and, according to my son, completed the work quickly. He called me right before he left my home and explained what he found and what he did. He left an itemized invoice for me. I wish I had called John sooner. I had been trying to get the leak fixed for two weeks without success. NC Master Plumber is now my go to plumber and I had him leave business cards so my neighbors can go to him, too!

John Hansen came the same day I called him. He arrived promptly, left for a little time to get supplies. Finished job quickly. I thought the price was very reasonable. Mr. Hansen was very nice and easy to deal with. I will definitely use him again.

John Hansen, proprietor of NC Master Plumber, is a knowledgeable, considerate, conscientious and a genuinely likeable plumber. He worked hard to minimize costs to me while fulfilling my expectations and adhering to code. NC Master Plumber was the first of four plumbers I called to respond to a call (within 24 hours) to unclog a bathroom sink and provide an estimate for a pending replumb of my house. Two other plumbers I called didn't even return my call. He inspected the existing plumbing, took measurements, and gave me options regarding procurement of fixtures, performance of demolition, and disposal of existing fixtures and plumbing. I elected to purchase my own fixtures (with the exception of the water heater), perform necessary demolition, and dispose of existing materials, which saved a considerable amount of time and money. It took him a few days to provide an estimate, during which time he contacted me repeatedly to ascertain my preferences whenever questions arose. He prioritized the work in such a way as we were never out of fresh water for more than a few hours. Due to the fact that he is a one man operation, the process of breaking and removing the existing cast iron plumbing and installing the new pipe and fixtures in its place dictated that we hire a porta potty for a couple of days. We discussed this in advance, it was not a surprise, and my wife and I agreed to it prior to that phase of the project. He cleaned up after his work and kept a neat and organized work space from the crawl space under the house to the main vent stack bracing in the attic. He was good with the pets, and was polite and personable in all his dealings with us throughout the project. I highly recommend NC Master Plumber.

NC Master Plumber is the local business run by John Hansen. I used many plumbers while renovating my 85 year old house in Raleigh. Some would come to look at the job and leave without giving a quote after seeing the mess of cast iron, galvanized, and polybutelene pipe. In the spring of 2008, I completely gutted and renovated the upstairs of my house. The plumbing work included new supply, drain, and vents for a full bathroom that connected to a 4" cast iron drain -- original to the house. The other plumbers recommended replacing that pipe, which would require extensive tear out and repair of the downstairs as well, but John was able to connect to after some careful cutting, saving me a few thousand dollars. This summer, I gutted and renovated my kitchen, and John did a first-rate job with one day for rough-in, and one day of final installation. It was great to finally find a professional who could replace what needed to go, but work with whatever material the job required. John's advice was always right on, and he worked with me to keep the cost manageable. John was always professional, personable, and on time. He's the only plumber I'm going to call as long as I'm in Raleigh.
