Great, they removed the brush in 100 degree weather. They were prompt and thorough. I was totally satisfied with their work.

l called Rick Knowles and left a message on his phone. He quickly returned my call and made an appointment. He was on time for the appointment and ready to look over the project. Rick is very knowledgeable about plants, there needs and how to care for them. When we went around the yard he explained what type of bushes we had and whether they would flower. It was very interesting since we are new to the area and not familiar with the plants that grow best in this climate. Rick quickly measured our lot and evaluated the situation. He left and promised a plan within the next few days. It was early the next day that we received his bid and we did our homework finding out what we could about his work. After we settled on a plan we set up a time for him to come with his crew to work on the yard. The weather was not cooperative but Rick kept me informed and when possible came quickly to get the job done. Although we had lots of rain they were only a day off their promised completion date. We were very happy with the work that was done and impressed with how hard his crew works to make your yard great!

We were impressed with the job Rick and his crew did on our yard after years of neglect. When he presented the original bid he included a bid to maintain the yard on an annual basis. So far we are very please with the work and service he is providing. As far as Dos and Don't s... check out the prices of doing this work yourself and you will see that his prices are very fair and affordable.

What can I say...come see for yourself! I'd invite you to drive by my house and tell me it's not the best lawn in the subdivision!

The speed that they did the work it was quite fast, I thought it would take him 3 days to finish it and he did most of it by hands, and he had two or three helpers with him. They did a really good job at a good price, for what he went through, he finished all the blocks that he put in. And he did extra that wasn’t really asked for. I think he’s a pretty honest guy. The projects went very well in spite of bad weather. It helped having printouts of paver patterns and pictures of what we wanted. My wife was home during the day and was available for consult whenever a question arose. She also enjoyed exchanging gardening ideas with Rick because of his vast knowledge of local plants. I recommended Rick to my boss who has hired him for a project at his house. Despite Rick's heavy workload, he was always punctual and delivered on his promises.

He seemed a bit rushed and harried both on the phone and in person. Not rude or anything, just like he had a lot going on. I called him asking about a straight mow and edging, saying I was expecting to pay $30-$40. He said he couldn't do it for anything less than $50. I believe he indicated that basically, for just a mow, it's a long way for him to go (I'm in Greensboro, he's out of Whitsett). Since I just wanted to get it done, I went ahead and scheduled him. He ended up calling the day before he was scheduled to come, indicating that he was in the area and could come in about 20 mins, and I agreed. When he arrived and saw the lawn (which had gotten quite long), he said it would definitely be $50, especially since our gates to the back yard are too small for the rider mowers. The job was completed quickly. My one complaint is that the edging wasn't what it could have been (last time I hired somebody I looked when it was done and I was like "Wow! It looks so crisp and clean!"). I asked him for an estimate for lawncare (fertilization, weed control, etc) and he said it would be $200 a month, and that was all-inclusive (I think), including aeration and possibly mowing? (not sure about the mow part.) I think the actual seed is additional though, which is standard. This number is higher than other places I'd contacted, but it's hard to know if I'm really comparing apples and apples ... a different place estimated around $450 total to come every 7 weeks, for a total of 5x. That estimate did not, however, include aeration. The reason I have said I would not use him again is that a) I know I can find a cheaper mow if I take the time to shop around, and b) For the year-round lawncare, his price does seem high, and I think I need to look around some more.

Went very well and I am very pleased with his services. He will be continuing to help me with my landscaping in the months to come

They seemed very knowledgeable. The price was reasonable. The first time I talked to him, he told me he could start the job in a week. The second time I talked to him about doing the work, he told us he could not get to the job for a month.

He is excellent, has a great attitude, shows up when he says he is going to, is friendly, and has competitive prices.

We purchased a "Big Deal" from Angie's list for an assessment and proposal. While the initial proposal took a little longer than Rick had promised, we are very happy with Rick's work. He is easy to work with and the quality of the work is top notch. I will recommend him to anyone without reservations. We will be working on other projects with him in the future.

Advance Landscaping arrived promptly, to look at the project and offer an estimate. We agreed on the work to be done and scheduled the work. Advance Landscaping completed the work on schedule and as promised. The landscaping project included a block wall to contain the landscaping, building up of several areas and plantings through the area. The project was done professionally and quickly.

The work was done in three stages from September 10 to November 16. Richard knowles was very pleasant to work with. He and his crew work fast and he let me know that he wanted me to be satisfied. I made a few changes to the plans as the project developed and he handled that with ease. I depended upon his opinion for many of the decisions and he was very helpful in giving me the benefit of his knowledge and experience. I was very satisfied with the results. I have hired him again to do some major pruning of several trees.

I was very happy with them. I would use them in the future.

Great, the did exactly what I hired them to do. It is early November and my yard is lush and green. Everything worked out great.

Rick did an excellent job with all the work he performed. It was done promptly and within estimate. Rick took the time to review our situation and provided valuable advise. He provided us guidance about reseeding the lawn that we were looking to do. In the long run his advise will save us time and money. He also took the time to give us ideas and estimates on several other projects that we are thinking about for the yard. We will use him again for our lawn projects and lawn care needs.

Rick and his employees were personable, friendly, enjoyable to interact with, and always maintained a level of professionalism. He always asked us before he made even the smallest change, such as trimming a low tree limb that had not been discussed previously. This was our first interaction with a landscaper and we were very satisfied with every aspect of the work performed. We discussed additional work that we want completed this fall, and we will definitely utilize Advance Landscaping to perfom that and any other work in the future.

He is reliable and does a good job. He is a one man outfit and he rents most of his equipment. He doesn't have a lot of equipment himself. He is reasonably priced and trustworthy. He is doing work for some of the neighbors.

This project is a small over grown landscape area. Advance Landscaping responded quickly to my inquiry and scheduled a time to discuss the project. Rick Knowles and I discussed the problem and several solutions. We decided the area needed to be cleaned out, a small retaining wall constructed, dirt added to level the area and mulch added to cover the area. The work was scheduled and completed when promised. The retaining wall looks great, the area looks great and there is now room for me to add a few plants. Rick Knowles is a knowledgeable and competent landscaper. I would recommend Advance Landscaping to anyone needing home landscaping.

His price is very reasonable and he does a good job.

Rick dug out approx. 38' long by 4.5' wide by approx. 2.5' deep area in back yard & installed a block retaining wall. He & his 2 man crew also dug up 4 small trees & several Juniper plants & replanted in area after the wall was up. He also re-soded area as needed. Rick also fertilized the yard & installed some rock for water runoff in a small area. Rick did all that work in approx. 10 hours. they did it all by hand. Did not use any heavy equipment that would tear up yard. Rick did all that work in the time he said he would as well as for the cost he quoted me. He also layed down tarps for the dirt so he wouldn't mess up yd. when he was done, you could not tell any work was done, he cleaned up after job done. Very professional.
