Excellent. Rick was prompt in providing an estimate. He showed up on the scheduled day and completed the work within the time frame and estimate discussed. I was so pleased with his work, I had Rick performed another yard service for me. With the second service, I had a couple of issues so I called Rick. He promptly responded back to me and indicated he would resolve the issues. We met the next day and by the end of the week everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Excellent service - the best I've ever used without question. Initial quotes were timely and very reasonable. Rick's crew provided property clean-up including tree / shrub trimming / removal, mulch bed clean-up / removal and grass seeding. The service was prompt - he delivered as promised. I continue to receive weekly compliments from my customers on the property improvements. Rick and his staff continue to provide weekly lawn / property services including lawn maintenance, tree / shrub trimming, parking lot clean-up, grass seeding and fertilizing. He also provides emergency services as needed - ice / snow removal and debris removal. I recently used Rick for personal home services which he provided at the same superior level as my business. I highly recommend this company for all of your landscaping needs.

I was initially blown away by Rick's knowledge of plants names, the seasons from pruning, trimming, and fertilizing. He's very professional yet friendly, and out going. We both thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him, and although he's a bit more expensive than I'd like we're going to do business with him. He gave us estimates for pavers, landscaping, and lawn maintenance and will begin our service next week.

They did exactly what they said they would do for the price they said they would do it for. We have retained them for a biweekly yard cut/trim. They did a very good job, and even worked on a Saturday.

Our yard had gone a little crazy - new baby means little time for yard maintenance! Wild disappearing beds, and overgrown grass ensued. Rick was very professional, he came, looked over our yard, was very knowledgable and had good suggestions for planting. He was very cost conscious and practical, very friendly and decent. He came when I was away on a trip, and did great work, trusted that I would send him money when I returned, which I did! Would recommend him highly.

Rick and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. Rick was prompt in coming out for a quote and walked around the entire yard with me asking me questions and telling me what was possible. We settled on an agreement for what they would do. Once the work began he brought a strong crew and they worked HARD, including in the rain, to complete the job in 3 full days. I was able to be involved as much as I wanted in what and where they would clear, and he asked me to come out if there was anything questionable. He and his crew were careful and thorough throughout. Rick was present throughout nearly the entire job. I had complete confidence in all of them. They also included small touches throughout that just made the landscape look attractive. In addition, Rick gave us some good tips on how to maintain the landscape so we won't fall into this same predicament. And the mulch is going to help a lot. The best part? We like our yard again, and I'm motivated to garden again and maintain it--went from feeling overwhelmed by it to really enjoying it again. And the neighbors have only positive things to say. A neighbor asked me yesterday if we were trying to get yard of the month. We don't have yard of the month in our neighborhood, but trust me when I say that this comment would never have been made, even in jest, before Rick's work. We'll be having him back in the fall--for maintenance and some planting--but, with this foundation, it's going to be a much less extensive job the next time around.

The man that came out seemed to know what he was talking about. I spoke with him about putting in a retaining wall and he gave me an estimate in person. I gave him my email address to send the estimate, but I never heard back from him. I called him and gave my email address again and he sent me a proposal that was $150 more than what we discussed in person. He finally gave me the landscaping plan in November and I didn’t like it. I was pleased with him in person, but he was slow in responding and I will not go with his design concept.

Right from the beginning phone call to set up appointment for estimate, Rick Knowles was prompt, courteous and professional. We went thru the scope of work to determine what was needed to be done and to get Rick's suggestions. He followed up with the written contract for the proposed work as promised. He proposed a work schedule for performing the work and followed through as promised. All promises were kept and the work done was excellent. Price was reasonable as well. Rick did a great job will use his services again.

Rick completed the job in two days, even after we added the clearing of the 1/4 acre after the fact. Initially, we got three estimates for the mulching: one from the person that originally mulched our area, one from Rick, and one from another highly recommended Angie's List contractor. The latter would not even undertake the job after stopping by for an estimate, and waited almost a week to tell me. The previous provider quoted the initial job $660 higher than Rick, without the trimming of the trees and clearing of the woods; just mulching. Rick was here when he said he would be, he and his crew were very professional and listened to and addressed any additional concerns I had, and obviously had an understanding and knowledge of plants equal to mine. When he found jack-in-the-pulpits (wildflowers) and sassafras trees, of which I had no knowledge, he showed me, marked them, and left me with instructions to care for them. Rick kept me apprised of any and all findings throughout the process of completing this job. All debris was cleared and removed, he was careful not to damage our new lawn or recent plantings, he carefully placed mulch around our plantings, and was as much of a perfectionist as I am...and, that's difficult. All in all, we couldn't have had a better experience or better value for the money we spent. Rick is a true professional in his field, and I would give him an "A+" rating if allowed! I will use him again, and would highly recommend your using him for any project you have. Our yard looks like a park!

The job done was above my expectations. Rick and his team are very knowledgeable and he always responded promptly to my emails. I had the area well cleaned after every visit. I will definitely use this company again and would recommend to everyone.

Needed aeration and overseeding with fertilizer. Called them, they visited the house, gave me a price, scheduled the work, showed up on time, and completed the job quickly.... all within days of my initial call. Good business!

They did a great job. After my inital call, Rick responded prompty. He had a good working knowledge of the plants in our landscape. He and his crew spent 2 days working on the perennial beds and lawn. All yard debris was hauled away, including large branches and a moderately sized tree. The beds look better than they have in years. They returned 2 weeks later (it rained between those dates) and removed a broken sidewalk. The sidewalk was replaced with a new one made of pavers. The sidewalk is also a huge improvement. The new pavers are very attractive and Rick was very much the perfectionist when putting them in. He reset one area twice before he was happy with it, but said he would not stop until he got it right. I am pleased with this company's work and would not hesitate to hire them again.

I contacted Rick Knowles and his team at: Advanced Landscaping 5811 Bowie Dr. Whitsett, NC 27377 because I just didn't have the time to get my yard back up to my standards. Rick called me right back, set up a day to come out and give me a quote. He did so, the quote was reasonable, we scheduled him to come out and execute his plan. Once they arrived they did a phenomenal job for me at my home. They were on time and under budget. The services they provided were: flower bed reconstruction, yard seeding, yard fertilization, structured rock retaining wall reconstruction, Japanese Maple transplanting, tree trimming and tree well construction. The materials Rick brought to use at my home were 1st grade. We could not be happier with the transformation of the curb appeal at our home. I WILL BE USING ADVANCED LANDSCAPING IN THE FUTURE. We set Rick and his crew up to come out every month on an annual contract to perform continue maintenance.

It went very well as expected. The job was completed within two days of my request. Everything that I requested was completed in a professional and timely manner. I have used their services before and have always been pleased. I would recommend their service to anyone.

I've been very happy with this company. They are resposnsive to my requests and reasonable in the prices they've quoted for special projects.

We met with Rick Knowles last year when we were looking for someone to help us with our new house. The property had been neglected by previous owners and as result was in a rather pitiful state.Rick came, looked around, took a deep breath and said that the property had a lot of potential and he would give us a good deal to clean it up if we agreed to sign a contract for a year to mantain it. We did and never regreted. We are still in early stages, there is still a lot to do, but the lawn looks like a lawn by now and we are about to undertake a major lanscaping project. Hopefully not the last one!

He arrived right on time to give an estimate, and was able to give great suggestions. We hired him a week later to do the work and he and his crew did all the work in one day. He is driven for perfection and even redid portions of the wall to make it perfect. I loved his service and recommended him to friends.

Great, they removed the brush in 100 degree weather. They were prompt and thorough. I was totally satisfied with their work.
