Recently purchased a new house and found our front door lock was not operating correctly. Contacted the manufacturer and was told a new parts for the lock were needed ($350). Called Action Lock instead; representative came, assessed the situation, worked long and hard to find a way to modify the lock so that it works as it was intended.

We were locked out of our home in a remote area of Yancey County. I called many locksmiths in the Asheville area; no one was willing to travel the distance to help us, and several told me I'd be better off just breaking a glass to get in. If I had been willing to do that I would not have been calling them in the first place. I found Action Locks on a new phone search. Moose was on another job about 60 miles from our house but said he'd be glad to come up and help us after he finished. He and Rhett arrived as promised, got us in our home so easily I was (almost) embarrassed, and then offered to rekey the door that had stymied us to match the key to the exterior storm door. He also cut several duplicate keys to all our locks, and all the duplicates worked great. It was a huge relief to be inside and know that I wouldn't be locked out again. His charge was extremely reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased with his abilities AND his willingness to help us.

We found him on Angie's List. He was absolutely fine. He did exactly what we wanted in no time flat and for an excellent price.

He came quickly and opened the door.

I called him on a Friday and he set up an appointment a week from the following Tuesday. He arrived at the appointed time and installed two dead-bolt locks.

Called them on Thursday morning and left a comprehensive message. It's now Sunday afternoon -- still have not heard a word from them.

Imagine this. A retired couple shuts two doors on a cold winter day and then realizes the house keys are inside. We wandered around the exterior and were relieved and dismayed that there was no way to get back in. Fortunately we had the car keys and drove to a warm location, got a phone book and called Shane. Action Lock had changed locks for us twice before and did exceptional work. Shane was out on a service call when we left the message at his office but he called within 30 minutes and said he could meet us at the lock out site within 20 minutes. He actually got there before we did! He opened both doors in less than 10 minutes. Shane is always soft spoken, courteous and professional. Our experiences with him have been so positive, we'll contact him without hesitation when there's a lock issue.

The service was prompt, polite and professional. When, almost two years later, we had problems with a lock that got out of alignment in the front door, Shane Williams returned promptly and fixed the problem without any charge. He is very nice to work with and I highly recommend him.

I called Shane, we set up an appointment. He was early, and changed all the locks and provided 5 keys.

Shane showed up right on time and was great to deal with. He completed the job much more quickly than I had expected, and also gave me advice on my options when we replace the doors. I wish every contractor we dealt with was so competent and professional!

Pretty smoothly. Sean/Shawn was about 30-45 minutes late both times he came out (first time he didn't have enough brass deadbolts because I had originally told him I wanted silver, but changed my mind, second time he did the work), but did the work properly, and was very nice.

The service men that came were very clean, very fast and we really liked the way they cleaned up after they were done.
