Nicholas Johnson is a professional who shows up on time with his crew ready to go to work. They had the job completely planned out and it went smoothly. This was a tough job! Two mature sugar maples had been badly topped in the past and were rotten. They and an enormous, dying white pine were very close to the house we'd just bought (and the phone lines that supplied up the mountain from us). Nick and crew removed them all, had them chipped and piled in under 2 days. They did NOT destroy the wildflowers and native shrubs growing underneath. There was very little damage at all to the undergrowth. There was very little evidence left that 3 trees that huge were cut down, except a mountain of chips for garden pathways and a little brush. He left the stumps, per my request, and made sure they were cut level so that I could place my large clay urns on them. I was impressed! It looked great after they completed the job and today, the space Really looks great. He also gave us advice on some of the rest of the trees in our woods. We really like his philosophy of not removing a tree if you don't have to, and especially Not Topping Trees(wish more people were like this). This, the company's fair prices, and all the above would be why we have recommended this company to many people and will continue to do so.

I was pleasantly surprised that all debris was disposed of, surrounding area was protected (things I forgot to put up). The work was beautiful and area left "spotless".

Mr. Johnson was able to drop the trees with amazing precision and skill. He was thorough in cleaning the site and removing debris and branches as well as the wood from the trees. He was also prompt and very courteous.

The drone was stuck about 50' off the ground in the limbs of a large sourwood tree on a mountainside in western NC. I tried to find a service to assist in getting it down, but only after I used the phrase "pro tree climber" did Element Arbor pop up. I called Nick, who told me I would be his 4th drone rescue, and that he could come out after his long day on another job to help me retrieve it. Nick understood that I had an expensive piece of delicate hardware stuck in a tree, and that it was best to retrieve it before nightfall. He drove 40 minutes out to the property, quickly assessed the job, and started to work. While I expected he might use spikes to climb up the sourwood tree, he explained that his Arborist code would not allow him to spike a tree and puncture it's "skin" as that could damage the tree and compromise it's health. He explained the best way to do it was to free-climb a double rope rig. He was keenly aware of not letting the drone plummet to the ground, so he told me that he would climb up, secure off, and carefully extract the drone, clip it to his belt and bring it down safely in one piece. That is exactly what he did. I can't tell you how much I appreciated his quick response, prompt arrival and sincere devotion to not only protecting my drone, but keeping the tree safe and healthy in the process.
