Unfortunately not it did not go well. We called requesting for them to come out and do a quote and never got called back.

These guys did a great job of supporting my kitchen floor! Looks and feels "professional"! Couldn't be any better. The entire process of the encapsulation was awesome. Chris did such a better job of it than Termininx did. The quality is out of this world. I now have peace of mind knowing the quality of this job will hold up and I don't have to worry about moisture, mold, and sheet rock shifting. I used to get a foot of water buildup at one end under the house, no longer. Chris and his staff were very kind, trustworthy and hardworking. "UPDATE!" - 04/20/2015 One year later, my encapsulation work done by Chris left a lot to be desired. I have had standing water at one end of the house on top of the plastic barrier for the last several months. I made about four attempts to get him out here and fix it. Always a no show after saying he would be out to fix the problem. The last text I sent him about a month ago or more, was unprofessional and done early in the am hours. I was so angry being blown off over and over!!! I threatened to update my Angie's list review. Before the puddling, the plastic barrier was falling in places. They did come out and respray glue again. Doubt it will last. I saw another Angie's list member have the same problem we did. Chris sure is a smooth talker after reading other negative reviews. Never will I ever use Manus Contracting again! I can't imagine how he is going to respond this updated review and don't care. I was referred to manus contracting by my HVAC guy! He noticed when he was working on my AC system that under my crawlspace there was a lot of moisture, the technician proceeded to tell me that it was a bad thing to have a lot of moisture under the crawlspace that he knew a guy that could help me seal the crawlspace. That's where Manus Contracting came into the picture. I received two quotes from other companies and then the third from manus contracting, They were two thoundsand dollars less than the lowest estimates I got. Chris the owner blow the other guys away with his knowledge and professionalism. so we are going with Chris and saving thoundsands. Thanks chris

Chris took my call recently where we discussed a small but important drywall job. While this was not a traditional project for Chris, he took the time to provide a warm intro to a local drywall contractor and within a few days the work was completed in sterling fashion. Greatly appreciated Chris taking care of me and I will keep him in mind for larger project requirements down the road.

Chris came out quickly to my house to take a look at the rot around our bay window and provide an estimate. His estimate came very quickly which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately it came in at almost double what an earlier estimate came in at. Chris took the time to explain the difference in pricing via email focusing on the materials he was proposing versus what the other contractor proposed. Even after that though, the difference in amount just wasn't in my budget and we hired the other contractor who will be doing the repairs later this month. Since I did not have any work performed by this company, I can only provide a review based on his responsiveness and willingness to explain some things to me.

Chris and his team were AWESOME to work with. Chris is extremely responsive. If I ever had a question, I texted him on his cell phone and always received a response within 10 minutes. In addition, his team not only did a great job on the project but also paid close detail to clean up afterwards, which for me is always a plus. I look forward to using Manus Construction and again and not only would I recommend them to others, I already have!

Followup review after completion of work- Let me start by saying : This is the company and contractor that you hope you hire when you sign on the dotted line! From initial contact to completion of our job Chris was professional, courteous, and willing to answer all questions (and I had a lot before we even got started). You hope that when you hire a contractor that you are going to get good work for a fair price with minimal delays, at least I do. I have been around a lot of remodel projects and this was by far the best experience I've had! The crew was here each day working hard getting as much done as they could. I was proactive in being sure that for the most part what they needed was here and ready for installation which really helped because they could keep moving. That's the part that can be frustrating about remodeling is waiting for people to show up to do the work. That was never the case with Gary and Ron. They were here each day and so pleasant and precise in all they did. I told Chris I knew that whatever they did-would be done right the first time. It's so nice to have that kind of confidence in the construction/remodel business. The value they provided is beyond compare. I would like to upload pictures, because you simply would not believe the transformation. I shared my vision with Chris, and the guys executed that vision brilliantly. They are all true craftsman, no question. What we received was a kitchen better than what we hoped for and for a reasonable price. When there were questions and hiccups-(and there will be with all projects ) we could address them with Chris and vice versa. We felt we had an open and honest business relationship. It was so evident that Chris's focus was to make us happy. And happy, happy, happy we are. I wholeheartedly recommend Manus Contracting for you and your project. I relied on Angie's List quite a bit when choosing a contractor and I want to provide you with honest feedback on a terrific experience. You won't go wrong hiring Chris and crew!

They did okay and didn’t come back when he was supposed to follow up like he said he would. He was supposed to follow up with a proposed drawing but he didn’t do that. He also changed the time but didn’t follow up.

I have a house on the market and received a list of items to repair from potential buyers. I contacted Manus to provide an estimate and/or determine which items needed repair. Chris was very responsive and managed to come by the next day. He arrived on time. The most expensive items were located under the house. Chris told me that repairs were not needed. He could have easily told me they were needed if he was not a person of integrity. He also provided me a letter with his assessment. His honesty and professionalism were greatly appreciated.

We contacted Manus Contracting in November. When I spoke to Chris he said he and his Dad worked together and he would send his Dad out to meet us and discuss our remodeling job. I assumed that Chris would still be involved in the project since I told him I contacted him through Angie's List reviews. Our project consisted of removing carpeting from all areas of the home (except bathrooms) and installing laminate flooring. The second part of the project was to remove all kitchen cabinetry and counter tops and replace them. Gary provided us with an estimate which we approved and we were given a projected start date. The kitchen cabinet installation was satisfactory for the most part. Most of the flooring installation was satisfactory. The sub contractors were all excellent. The main issue we have concerns the master bedroom flooring. According to Gary, due to the way the house was constructed he had to install the flooring going the opposite direction from the rest of the house. This issue was not brought to our attention with recommendations--Gary took it upon himself to make the decision on his own. We felt that our property was not respected as it should have been. Examples: a white background sofa not covered and dining room chairs placed on it--legs on the fabric, soda cans and cracker wrappers thrown in the front yard, our trash can used for construction garbage, partial box of flooring placed on top of a keyboard which was on the dining room table. Several door frames had large gaps that my husband had to ask Gary to "fix". My husband and I are not home builders or contractors and we felt based on the reviews on Angie's List we would not be "stressed out" overseeing every detail of this remodel but sadly we were mistaken. This review may not be a "fair" review of Manus Contracting since money was paid to Manus Homes LLC. I feel that we were misled in that we contacted Chris Manus and based on his reviews hired them to do the job and he took no part in our project. Gary told us he had built million dollar homes and after what I have seen I seriously doubt that!

We are underway with Manus contracting and could not be happier. From the first meeting about our project to date, Chris, Gary and Ron have been exceptional. I interviewed several contractors before deciding to go with Chris. I had a million and one questions that Chris always took the time to answer and his pricing was extremely fair making this project doable for us. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and we were never rushed to make a decision. I have remodeled in the past and was looking for responsiveness , a willingness to work me on ideas, and workmen that would be there when they said they would. Well, I found it. Chris saw my vision for the space and then I started getting things together for a start date about 2.5 weeks ago. We are about mid way through our project and it has really moving along quite nicely. They are prompt, responsive to any concerns or changes and have really made every effort to give me just what I want. When you couple that ,with gentlemen that are so pleasant to have around, are kind to my crazy dog and are so careful with protecting my things and cleaning up each day, it makes you glad you hired them. We have a few weeks to go, and I can't wait for the finished project. Being without your kitchen can be tough,and they recognize that and are working very hard putting in full days. It's gone so much easier than I anticipated. They are true craftsmen. They are everything you hope you are going to get and then some when hired. I will post a review with before/after pics upon completion.

I was very satisfied with the work and would definitely use Manus Contracting again. Chris was very helpful with planning and had great ideas for things I didn't have a definite plan for. He always responded quickly anytime I text with questions about the job. He was very down to earth and easy to work with.

Set up an appointment, he never showed and never called. We will not be using this company for anything jobs at our home.

Due to my own stupidity, I backed into the side of the garage. This damaged the brick on the outside, from the ground to about 24-30 inches above. I then went on Angie's List and contacted a number of general contractors and masonry experts. Gary Manus was the first to contact me and has been VERY helpful. As he requested, I sent a couple photos of the damage. He was able to give a ballpark diagnosis, and provided a couple of different options. He was also honest enough to recommend another contractor based on the price, depending which option we choose. Gary then spent additional time on the phone with me to describe step by step the different options, as well as noting potential issues with the garage door. He is sending me a contract tonight, and I look forward to reviewing it and continuing to work with Gary. I would highly recommend him as your first call if you need any stone/masonry work done.

Chris was very professional, punctual and thorough. Although I ended up not getting any of the work done, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have work done. I will definitely use him on my next house.

The work was done according to plan and the finished product was excellent. Chris maintained contact throughout the process and his crew were very professional.

We dealt with Chris Manus who was great from the very beginning. He came out to the house and we talked through the project. He was very open as to some of the problems he saw. The existing steps of the stairway ( installed by the homes previous owners) were not to code and would have to be changed. The first week was demolition of the bonus room, framing in the open stairway, building a new landing and moving the existing landing steps, insulation and drywall. Moving a couple of electrical outlets/switches. They did an oustanding job pieceing together the wood flooring from matching remnants that we had, both up in the bonus room and in the kitchen/landing area. The second week after drywall they did all the wood work, replaced the exisiting pine steps with the appropriate length oak planks.So much safer and easier to walk up and down the steps. He added a spindled railing in the room where the wall had once been giving the room a loft effect. They moved the kitchen/garage door to the new opening and reframed the old opening. Lastly the steps were stained and the room was was painted. We also had them change a bedroom door. The door was replaced and the casings all redone and painted. His knack for details was impressive. He and his workers were very professional, neat and respectful of our home. We allowed them access to our home while we were not there and felt completely comfortable doing so. Since we weren't home Chris was in contact with us daily as to what had been done each day and what to expect the next. All supplies were provided, all we had to supply was paint and stain colors. We would highly recommend Manus Construction and will definitely have them back when the need arises.

Chris Manus was very prompt in response to coming out for estimate, and I must say informed me that any Bathroom work was a minimum of $3500.00. I was in a time crunch so I proceeded. Work was done in a timely fashion.Tile work left a little to be desired. He did do other items while he was at the job, however I did pay for them. The best thing was the clean up lady he sent after the job was complete, that was a nice touch. I My biggest complaint is that he treated my crawl space for mold and was to send me a Mold treatment letter, which I requested several times since completetion of job and NEVER received ,5 weeks later.

We had a refrigerator line leak that had destroyed our hardwoods, so we utilized this oppty to remodel our 11 year old kitchen.After a couple failed attempts with other contractors (even getting their attention to meet and quote), i found Manus Contracting at the top of Angie's List and called them.Chris called within the hour and we had an appt set up to meet with his father the next day..Since then it has been exceptionally smooth with project definition, contract negotiation, and mobilization.They are very professional and are accessible and in constant communication.So far they have performed demo, erected new structure for ceiling span, and re-laid the hardwood floors... on schedule and no surprises.Their pricing was fair and they keep the house relatively clean at end of day, which is important to us as we are living in the house during most of the construction.Without a doubt i would recommend Chris and his father, Gary for any home building/remodel project you may have.

It was really a pleasure to work with Gary and Ronnie Manus. They were always on time and got the job done in a very quick timeframe. Everyday they made amazing progress, while allowing us to continue to use the kitchen and living room areas whenever possible. The work was top-notch and we were extremely pleased with the budget. There were no surprises in the process. Gary was excellent at communications with us and went above and beyond with service. We would recommend them to all our neighbors and would work with them again. No complaints!

When I called Chris Manus , he showed up the next day and gave me an estimate. He showed up the next day with a crew of 5 and did all the repairs in a satisfactory manner. This was a rental house that I am selling.. I will use them on my next renovation on my house.

Chris was very nice and had great vision on what to do because I really didn't have any idea. I had MANY contractors out and I felt a great vibe from him that I did not feel with the other contractors. I knew I would be using him. I actually cancelled all the rest after our estimate. He answered all my texts and calls. I unfortunately was unable to get the bathroom done do to a problem with my car and not being able to budget it out. But when I do do it, I will be calling Chris!

Chris always quickly returned calls (or texts) and was always available for questions and consulting for the job. Our job did take longer than I had hoped, primarily because the job ran through the holidays. There were a few minor hiccups in the project- the largest being that our originally selected laminate flooring wasn't available in the quantity that we needed for some time. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the work done by Chris and team. Delays and complications are to be expected for complex projects, and I always felt I was "in the know" about the current status. I would certainly work with Chris again!
