Everything went great, very nice people! They informed us of a problem - specifically a possible broken irrigation line - that they found while working on driveway that we may never had known about. Everything went smoothly, they let us know when we could drive on the new concrete and cleaned up all around before they left. It was a great experience.

Ed came out to our place to assess the problems we were having. He gave us a quick "concrete 101" to help us understand why we had cracking on a relatively new parking pad and why the edges of existing concrete and asphalt work were crumbling. We obtained three bids. While his was the lowest, it was also the most comprehensive. Ed was flexible, rescheduling with no problem when we had to change the date. He even agreed to work on the holiday (January 1) so that we could get the job finished before bad weather set in. The job was quickly completed, and Ed and his workers even seeded the edges of the concrete and asphalt, spread hay and staked the area to protect it. We can highly recommend Italiano Brothers.

Ed gave me a very competitive estimate. They weren't the least expensive, but were the most professional and accommodating. The project was delayed a bit as I didn't realize I needed an HOA approval, but once that was done we were ready to go! Ed, Frank and their crew came out exactly as planned and quickly installed the forms. You could tell they were very organized and each person knew what they were doing. Equally as importantly, at least to me, was they were very friendly and courteous. The crew poured the concrete later that day. It was an unusual shape, so Frank and I discussed how where the expansion joints should be. It made me feel he was genuinely interested in making sure I was happy with the result...a rare quality nowadays! The finish and edging they applied was beautiful. The following day they came back, removed the frames and backfilled dirt between the new sidewalk and the grass/dirt (something they didn't have to do according to our contract) and carefully cleaned up after themselves. I was happy with all phases of this project and can't say enough about these guys and how happy I am with their work.

The work that Ed and his crew did for us was at a middle school here is Charlotte. They did an outstanding job of fixing our erosion problem and really improving the overall look of our outdoor athletic facilities with the additional sidewalks, a driveway onto our track, a slab and sidewalk for visitor side bleachers and cementing in an area that had been eroding and been a hazard for years. They take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. I cannot thank Ed enough for making sure the projects were completed in time for the start of school or for our first home football game. This is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them.

This was a very difficult job. The concrete floor had fallen 4 inches on the left side of the floor due to voids in the sub-base and an uneven concrete pour. I tried to power grout the floor with another company but that process failed. Ed and his team had to work with a floor that had different cement floor depths as they cut the floor out and they had to work in a very confined space. Ed and his team did a great job, were on time each day and completed the job to our satisfaction. Ed also kept us informed with things that they found as they worked and described the issues that caused the floor problem in the first place. This was a tough job and we are happy to have it finished. Italiano Brothers was not the least or most expensive company I contacted. At first I thought their price was a bit high but as they removed the floor, and I saw what was under the original concrete, I came to believe that their price was very fair. Ed had anticipated the issues based on his experience and was very prepared to complete the work with no additional cost.

Everything was amazing! They did a fantastic job replacing the concrete and even raised one side so the water wouldn't pool and crack the driveway again. If I ever have more work that needs to be done I'll definitely call them again!

We obtained 3 competitive bids from Angie's List providers, and while this was the highest bid, it was not that much more than the others. The time Ed spent answering our questions and the details that he provided during the bidding made us very comfortable that his company would do an excellent job for us. And that proved to be the case. He even solicited our imput on the esthetic details of the project, for which none of the other bidders asked. The work was done within the time frame that was agreed on, and we were kept in the information loop about the progress of the job. He, his brother Steve, and the crew were super punctual and worked hard and fast in blistering heat to complete the work. We had additional questions about the work as things progressed, most notibly how long before we could use the newly paved areas, which we had not discussed in any detail earlier. Some of the turf in our back yard was badly damaged, but that is just the 'nature of the beast' when having this kind of work done. So we were not surprised that we will need to do some lawn repair when the weather cools in the fall. We had a great experience with this company, and would use them again if needed. We would heartily recommend the Italiano Bros. to anyone needing concrete work. Our job was pretty staight forward and not an engineering challenge; nevertheless, we felt like we were given the attention and the attention to detail that a much more elaborate project might have required. We could not be more pleased.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They were friendly, efficient, and they would answer your questions if you have any. When the first of the Italiano brothers showed up to see about the job, he really listened to me and he had everything I asked for. It was a just a sidewalk, but I thought they put a little artistic touch on it in places whenever the opportunity arose.

After going through many quotes with other contractors, I contacted Ed and he was refreshing from the beginning. We spoke in the evening, he got the details and was in position to look at my job that day. Understanding my criteria, he quoted and I accepted. He started about a week from our initial conversation, prepped and poured the same day, came back the following for a punch check and the rest is history. I felt comfortable the entire time, being away form the home for work, his communication and reputation put me at ease and I was satisfied with the work. At initial view, the quality looks good. With all concrete work time will tell but with the team's hard work and professionalism, I have no doubts that all will be well tomorrow and beyond. He and his team made it simple and he is easy to work with. Recommended!

We couldn't be happier with our patios! Ed Italiano was fantastic! He was patient with all my questions and pickiness with color/texture, and answered all my questions perfectly! The patios are absolutely beautiful! One of them is inside the screen porch and the other is outside, and we love them both! Ed and his team were prompt, efficient, kind and courteous and most importantly did an amazing job!! Awesome experience!!

He gave me such good ideas when he was here. I was having part of my driveway replaced; I got a very old wooden patio in the back. He gave me good ideas about just pairing that thing up without even replacing it. He gave me some good things to think about.

Italiano Brothers did extensive site grading to alleviate water runoff from old concrete driveway that was running into our yard. They ripped out the old concrete driveway and poured new driveway. We had them install a new circular gravel driveway to connect to the new concrete driveway as well as a an adjacent parking pad for our RV. As part of the water mitigation issue, they took the roof leaders from the gutters and buried them underneath the new driveway, running the pipes to a drainage ditch alongside the street. The brothers are true professionals in what they do and kept us informed every step of the way. Any one looking to have driveway work done, should most definitely call them. Their prices are fair and their work is top notch.

I ended up going with another contractor but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ed to others.

At first we were impressed with Ed's responsiveness. I met with him at our home to show him the area needing the work. He showed up on-time and was very polite, and seemed to have good ideas for the project. However, a few days after our meeting we received an email from Ed stating "Kelly, thank you for taking the time to meet with me the other day. After review of my notes I have decided to decline bidding this project." We sent him an email asking why he didn't want to bid on the project, but Ed did not respond. A simple answer to our question would have been the polite thing to do, something like "schedule is full at the moment". I feel like our time was wasted by meeting with a company that clearly had no intention of submitting a quote for our project.

I had a great experience with Ed, his brother and his crew. Ed designed a great driveway in a tight space with some challenging drainage and soil quality issues. I love the widened driveway and all prior drainage issues have been effectively eliminated. I would certainly use Ed for any future concrete projects and recommend him highly to anyone in the market for a new driveway.

I would use them again in the future

Ed Italiano and his brother Steve did a great job. We had a relatively complicated drive on a steep hill down toward the house. there were surface water control issues that needed to be addressed and a dificult switch back on the slope. Ed had several suggestions that other bidders did not offer and exhibited a real attention to detail and an ability to foresee possible issues. The only problems we had were weather related ( much too cold for most of January to pour the concrete). I found them to be very responsive to questions and concerns, very detailed and exacting in their prep work, grading, crushed rock, re-bar where necessary, well planned forms and executed, 4,000 PSI concrete. They sweat the details. We had a difficult situation where we terminated our general contractor after the original drive way was removed and regraded. It was a slippery clay mess. Italiano Brothers assured us they could respond quickly and put crushed rock down to give us a workable surface until the weather would allow them to pour concrete. I gave Ed a verbal approval on the phone in the morning, they were there that afternoon with the contract and crushed rock. We had 4 bids for the work, Italiano Brothers was more expensive, but the only one that exhibited the experience, technical understanding of the project and and gave us unquestionable confidence that they would do a quality job. They worked efficiently, brought pleanty of manpower ( which is really important to finish the wet concrete appropriately in the right time frame). They got a good clean joint to the existing garage slab, cleanly cut and trimmed stucco where necessary. They Show up on time, do what they say and CLEAN UP the site after the job. They even pressure cleaned the street. We now have a beautifully finished driveway. Water drains properly, the grade is good, best of all it looks great! you might think that Concrete may be created equally, But its the preparation, planning, and teamwork from the crew that leads to finish quality. that's what separates the low bids from those that really know their work. Italiano Brothers know their work and dont compromise.

We used the Italiano Brothers due to the reviews on Angie's List plus they were referred to us by another provider that we used and were very pleased with. They did not disappoint! We did get a few other estimates but chose Ed because of his knowledge and professionalism. The job went extremely well from start to finish. Ed's crew were great to work with, did an excellent job and cleaned up very well upon completion. Ed is the type of contractor that does what he says he is going to do and customer satisfaction is a high priority! We would most definitely recommend the Italiano Brothers!

Ed and his brother are a fantastic team. We found them to be very professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. When Ed initially came out to give us a detailed estimate, he listened to what our goals where and came up with a few key suggestions on sizing and layout that we otherwise may not have considered. He was very detailed in how the process would work and was truthful about the time-frame in which his team could tackle the project. Ed kept us well informed throughout the project. Once they were on site, they were very efficient; everything was lined up and ready to go so there were no unusual delays.. We would highly recommend them for any concrete job..!! Our initial plan was to replace a gravel driveway with concrete and replace a section of sidewalk raised by tree roots. After having trees removed, we decided to replace the entire sidewalk. Ed's recommendations made the driveway and sidewalk more accessible by removing steps. He also recognized a potential dampness problem with the downspout at the corner of our house and corrected it. What started out as a basic renovation turned into making a lovely home entrance thanks to Ed's vision and recommendations!! Our expectations were exceeded and we would highly recommend Italiano Brothers Concrete. They take extreme pride in their work and maintain the highest quality workmanship. d working shoulder to shoulder with them.The originally scheduled start-date was on Memorial Day, so the actual start was understandably a day late, but the finish date was not late. The crew showed up appropriately early on both Tuesday and Wednesday and at least one of the Italiano brothers was on hand and working shoulder-to-shoulder with them. Ed Italiano was a great listener when he came out to see what was wanted and make an estimate, As result, the finished project has the graceful layout we wanted and overcame the terrain problems we had been worrying about, The men actually took care of a few extras we hadn't thought about, such as linking one of our down spots to an underground drainage system they created from near the front of the house to the woodland behind the house.. The project involved crossing several kinds of utility lines--cable, gas, water, and electric. None of the lines was even nicked. The surface of the finished product is pretty, and when we plant the grass and get some of the other planting done, it's going to look beautiful. Watching the crew at work, we were really impressed with all sorts of professional touches they added to the project and just how much artistry and skill go into producing walkways and gravel ed parking areas. Yoiu bet we'd hire the Italiano Brothers again.
