Ed Italiano, Italiano Brothers Concrete, did an excellent job and he exceeded my expectations because he completed the work with just one (1) assistant. Ed was punctual, professional and definitely knows his craft. The job was completed one (1) year ago and I am still getting complement on the driveway from passers-by. I would definitely use Italiano Brothers Concrete again and would recommend them to anyone needing excellent concrete work.

Ed and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were prompt, hard-working, and a pleasure to have around. We started out thinking we wanted stamped concrete, but thanks to Ed educating us on the pros and cons of stamped concrete vs. pavers, we ended up choosing pavers for our walkway and are so happy with the result. We started out with an old, ugly concrete walkway that was buckled by tree roots and ended up with a beautiful herringbone-patterned paver walkway. Even our general contractor next-door neighbor was impressed with the excellent job they did. We'll need to replace our driveway soon, and Italiano Brother's will be our first call when we are ready to do so.

The installation was very professional. The driveway and sidewalk turned out with outstanding results. We are the envy of the neighborhood. They were very prompt on scheduled work days, and provided very high quality of work. The only negative is schedule the project several week in advance, as he they can get very busy. We would highly recommend Ed and his crew.

Ed was punctual, offered up suggestions and options that we had not considered. It is clear that Ed is at ease with customers and he projects a quiet competency. My wife loved him from the first encounter. Our project is now complete and we are extremely happy with the work, the 14'x16' patio is awesome. Ed even performed some tasks not included in the contractual scope, like resetting some pavers and replacing blocks adjacent to the patio. I would recommend him to anyone, Thank you Italiano Bros!

It could not have gone smoother. Ed gave me an approximate quote over the phone, but said he would like to come by and give me a more accurate estimate. We thought we just wanted a rectangular patio but Ed suggested we round out one section of the patio for our circular fire pit. Ed came back with a quote within two days, was willing to work with us, and was out to complete the job the next week. Ed and he crew did everything they said they were going to do, were on time, and professional. We love our new patio. Our furniture fits perfectly! I would recommend Ed without hesitation!

Ed and his guys were great and the new driveway looks awesome. He walked me through everything that would be done, answered all my question and made suggestions that made the entire project look even better than it did before. I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking to concrete work.

Ed and his crew were excellent. On the day they arrived, they marked off the area to be added and then proceeded to move the excavated dirt to my backyard where I needed to fill in a low area. While I was simply expecting them to dump the dirt in piles, I was amazed to discover that they actually spread the dirt out evenly over the entire area I was needing to fill, thus saving me several hours of work. In addition, prior to excavating, they took the mulch that was located in the area to be excavated, scooped it up and spread it in a flower bed on the other side of the driveway. The next day they poured the concrete as the weather was a little cool to pour the first day. Though I was not there to see the pouring process I was quite pleased to come home and see a thoroughly professional job that aside from looking brand new, looks like it is truly a part of the existing driveway. You will not be disappointed to hire Italiano Brothers Concrete for you project.

Fantastic job. Ed and his crew's attention to detail is unmatched. They are great and I would highly recommend them to anyone getting hardscape, concrete, etc type work done.

Never came to look at driveway.

The overall quote was approximately $7/square foot for 4000 PSI concrete which is the highest of all three quotes I received. This contractor also requested to simply add concrete to my existing walkway (I guess to reduce cost or make the job simpler?). When I asked if this would look strange due to the inevitable height of the walkway or the strength if they did not go high he immediately agreed and tacked another $600 to remove the existing walkway. I shopped around and go the same work done for $8250. Shop around and you will be rewarded.

They were very professional throughout the project and offered suggested solutions and suggestions on project which we incorporated. The job took a little while to schedule due to the weather, but once they started they were done in just a few days. The project included widening the driveway and back pad which is quite large. The part of the driveway near the road was also widened to accommodate 2 cars with the walkway turning up to the house. One of the steps up to the landing was eliminated with their design which worked quite well. A drain was also installed below the pad to drain off water. This was their suggestion as well. At first I was concerned about the amount of concrete there would be but everything turned out well and looks great. The only thing I can even say that they could do better is to work on timely communication. Once they were onsite they were efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend them.

I first sent an inquiry email note through Angie's List back on August 16. I got a response back on the 17th asking for more personal information which I promptly answered. I was looking for a quote to replace my driveway. I sent a follow up on Sept. 1 asking again for a quote and that nobody has contacted me. Finally I get a call back a few days later. The rep. blamed the slow response on Angie's List that they don't always get inquiries and responses in a timely manner. Fine. He says he'll stop by to look and quote shortly. He does that, calls me to discuss some recommendations which were good, and said he'd formalize a quote and send it out. Over two weeks later no quote, no phone call, no email follow up. Either they have too much business and don't need an new work or they're just not reliable. In construction actually generating and following up a quote is probably the easiest part of the job. But if they can't get that right I won't trust them to tear up and pave my driveway the right way.

Ed was wonderful. Shortly after I called he came out and gave us an estimate and suggestions. He even brought out a piece of concrete so we could see what the patio would look like. Ed and his crew were very friendly, helpful, did exactly what they said they would and were always on time. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Before Italiano Brothers built our patio for us, I never gave much thought to what constitutes quality work when it comes to concrete. I was vaguely aware there is an art to leveling, but that was the extent of my knowledge. The work done by Italiano Brothers has made me fully appreciate the skill and craftsmanship it takes when it comes to designing and laying down concrete. On every aspect of the job they were a wonderful company to work with and I'd not hesitate to hire them again. Some background into the work they performed for us. Last year Exterior Additions added two rear porches to our house: a main one and a smaller porch off our bedroom. The porches were fantastic, but it actually presented a problem. The porches looked so nice they emphasized how unattractive the areas beneath them were. (I've included some before pictures to show how they looked.) We asked Doug from Exterior Additions for a recommendation on a company to create a patio for us. When he suggested Italiano Brothers, it was a no brainer because Doug has given us nothing but excellent advice. Ed Italiano came out to our house to talk to us about what we're looking for in the patio. When he realized our aesthetic tastes are somewhat unconventional, he came up with a concept we hadn't considered but absolutely loved. There are several components to his design: Individual concrete slabs underneath the porch, a rounded sitting area with a fire pit, a stamped design on the concrete, and a unique coloration applied. To understand the work, look at the pictures, which actually don't do justice in showing the color applied to the concrete. There are 3 or 4 subtle tones that merge perfectly and look great in conjunction with the stamped pattern. Also notice the river rock "trenches" that separate the slabs of concrete. Ed suggested an epoxy be mixed with the river rock to keep the rock looking new, give it a deeper coloration, and prevent it from being blown away. The final comment on the trenches is they prevent the concrete from cracking if the porch supports ever shift. This is because the supports are situated in the trenches instead of the concrete slabs. The description above should give an indication about how intricate and well-thought out Ed's design was, and it looks even better than we hoped. To give you an idea how much we like it, we're slowly renovating our house and planned our next project to be our bedroom. However, we liked the work done by Italiano Brothers so much it has gotten us thinking we want them to do additional work on our exterior. (We've come up with an idea to patio the second porch and incorporate a water feature into it.) A few more observations. Ed has a fantastic crew who are absolutely professional and easy to talk to. Not only would they explain to me the work they were doing, it was obvious they took a great deal of pride and happiness in what they were doing. This is what you want in people working on your house; it means they care about the final product. To conclude, I'm so happy we hired Italiano Brothers. Their work is stellar and we couldn't be more pleased. I'm a huge fan and would rate them A+ in every aspect of the job they did for us!

I spoke with the salesman on the phone and texted a picture to him of my existing concrete patio. I explained that I wanted to make the patio larger, gave him the dimensions of what I wanted and that I was interested in stamped concrete. The salesman never contacted me back.

Ed was very helpful in helping to figure out the best way to approach my job. They did everything they said they would do, were prompt on arrival, protected the area around where the concrete was to go, and cleaned up after. I ended up being out of town at the last minute when they were scheduled to do the work, and they kept me informed of their progress and even sent pictures so I could see their work. We received many quotes and by far we were most comfortable with Italiano Brothers. Ed was very easy to work with from day 1. We had a lot of questions - Ed and team always took the time to answer them fully. He was very open with his opinion while always taking into account our ideas. In the end, we changed our design plan based on Ed's recommendation and are very pleased with the final product! The team was also very courteous and helpful to work with. They spent several days on this project - it was very clear that there was a great level of detail put into each step. Great care was also taken for our property and it was left in excellent condition. I highly recommend Italiano Bros - you will get a quality, well thought out product delivered by a great team.

Everything went well in the process to define and submit a bid. They answered all our questions patiently and thoughtfully as we obtained competing bids and learned more about concrete. We did not choose Italiano Brothers because their quote seemed high vs. competitors, but we have no doubt that they would have done the highest quality work. We just could not afford their bid at this time. We recommend that anyone needing concrete work consider them.

We had issues with rain and freezing weather getting in the way of the work. Edward Italiano made several suggestions for improvements to the repaving. A drain under the slab at the rear of the house was added to cut down the amount of water running across the driveway. A brick step at the end of the side walk was deleted by running the new sidewalk to the porch at the level of the step. A definite improvement in the look of the side walk.
