Morris and Moffitt Inc

Morris & Moffitt was recommended by another contractor who originally assessed the damage. The process was handled via my insurance company and went smoothly. The software that Morris & Moffitt used for their estimate was the same that the insurance companies use so there was no issue filing the claim. The work needed included drying out the crawl space, replacing insulation under the house, replacing drywall in the kitchen and the associated insulation, rebuilding some of the cabinets where water damage occurred, replacing all of the kitchen area laminate floor tiles and moldings. Morris & Moffitt performed the work on time and slightly lower than budgeted. Communications to keep me updated on repairs were daily. They get an A+ from me.

The quality of the work that they did was amazing. They handled our insurance claim for the faulty tub and all went well; the bathroom looks 10 times better than it did before. The work they did was so good we asked them to come back and retile our powder room. The only complaint I have is that we had a few communication problems. The tile guys pulled the tile off the wall and for some reason didn't realize they'd have to put new tile up. Once everything was cleared up they made it right, and everything came out looking great.

We had some wind damage to our roof that needed repairs and discovered that we had some hail damage as well. The quote from Morris and Morffitt was the best, and they were the most responsive and customer friendly of the companies we contacted to get quotes. Jud personally came out and had the roof tarped to ensure no further damage before his team could get the roof replaced. The team was on time, worked efficiently, and overall did a good job. There was a little miscommunication about the day of the final walk through that occurred two days later then we were originally told, but all said and told we were very impressed with Jud's professionalism and how our roof looks now. Highly recommend to anyone that finds themselves in a situation similar to ours.

Alan was very professional as were his crews. Overall the project went smoothly with no major issues. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a remodel project. We will be using them again soon.

There was some miscommunication between the contractor and the carpenters during the initial tear out and restructure, but it was corrected immediately and effectively. Everything else went went well and pretty much on schedule. I had indicated that we were pretty flexible on timing, as I am retired and could adjust my schedule if they needed; they were nonetheless prompt and wasted no time completing each phase. I felt that the price was fair, given the scope of the job. I will be using them again. I should mention that the contractor went to extremes to make sure that I was satisfied with everything that was done.

Morris & Moffitt Inc are very detail oriented and are very good. All their work like the way they finished their carpentry and more was good. Overall it was a very good job. I would recommend them and use them again. They are reliable and the quality of their work is really good.

Excellent from start to finish. From the ordering through to the installation, it went very smoothly. The finish guys had to create custom molding onsite to match what was there to fill in the door and it looks great. Another great experience with M&M!

We had multiple estimators come for our remodeling, and although we were the most impressed with Morris & Moffitt, we were too inclined to go with a lesser priced option, even if we may have compromised quality to do so.

We were selling our house, cash buyer, so everything needed to happen FAST!. Contacted Morris & Moffitt and they came out within a couple of days for the estimate and had the work I needed done finished in time for the sale. Esiquio was my main contact and when he went on vacation before my work was finished, Alan contacted me to make sure the rest of the work was completed on time.

The whole process was exceptional from start to finish. Their initial response was excellent, the estimate was detailed and the work was done to high standard. We have more work ahead and will be calling them for sure!

It went great. Alan was the only person who came out and gave us an estimate that recommended we put insullation in the floor so that we wouldn't hear the foot steps upstairs. It was a great idea. His sub contractors were all very kind and professional and very good at thier jobs. I couldn't have been more happy with the serives they provided. Would reccomend them and hope to use them again for future needs.

We called Morris & Moffitt to provide an estimate for water restoration services after we had a washing machine in a second floor laundry room leak water, which damaged the laundry room flooring and leaked down to the first floor as well. Morris & Moffitt promptly came out to give us an estimate (which is crucial when you are dealing with water damage) and we were very happy with their flexibility, promptness, and ability to explain the work that needed to be performed so we hired them. Morris & Moffitt acted as the general contractor on the job and performed the water restoration work themselves and coordinated all the work to be performed for replacing carpet padding, replacing drywall, painting and replacing vinyl flooring by subcontractors. They were always easy to contact via phone and they quickly addressed any questions we had. They were very flexible in scheduling the work to be performed to work around our schedule. They also stopped in to check on the work performed by the subcontractors to ensure a quality product. We are very happy with the end product and we felt well informed along the way. We would definitely hire Morris & Moffitt again as we know they take pride in their work product and they will ensure a quality job is done and the customer is happy.

Overall, we were not please with the estimate and chose another contractor who wasn't trying to pad the cost with things we knew did not need to be done. I was very disappointed since this was my first time using Angie's list and had contemplated cancelling my subscription, but decided that maybe I would fare better next time around.

Morris & Moffitt worked with me to perform discrete tasks in a bathroom remodeling. They worked with me to cut costs and deliver a great final result, including a very clean block glass window, newly refinished cast iron tub, shower walls and tile, and a beautiful glass door along with other unique carpentry challenges. I finished up the rest of the bathroom myself including electrical, flooring, drywall, and plumbing and they were great to work with.

eek after he said he would. So his professionalism was much appreciated. His estimate was definitely reasonable and he is the contractor we would have gone with if we decided to do a tile shower. My husband didn't want to deal with the grout so we decided to go with a solid ceramic wall shower. I would recommend this company based on the experience I had with them.

We detected water damage at the baseboard level on the drywall. When we pulled back the carpet, we saw there had been long term seepage. However, we could not find the source of the leak. Morris and Moffitt did however (it was from a section on the roof where a 1-inch pice of caulk was missing from when the house was built 5 years ago (built by another company). They told me what the would do, gave me a reasonable estimate and after I accepted, they went to work. Can't tell there was any damage at all now and we can sleep in peace knowing they fixed it for good. Great company!

We have 3 kids and a 1600 sq ft house. We wanted to convert the garage into a year-round playroom while keeping the garage door in case we decide to sell in the future. Dave Zelch offered some good suggestions, allowed me to use my brother for some of the work and offered to start work very shortly after the fair estimate was given. Dave provided excellent communication via email (he responded to phone calls via email as well) and his subs were punctual and courteous throughout the job. The total job took roughly 3 weeks while working within our schedule. On top of all that, Dave had to deal with me -- a self-diagnosed perfectionist. He managed to address all my concerns without showing any hint of frustration and claims he would be happy to work with us for future jobs which is good since we have more ideas that we would happily have him quote for us when our budget allows. We are very pleased with Morris & Moffitt from estimate to completion.

Alan was present within 45 minutes of our call. Within hours they had secured the opening, essentially a whole wall. They prepared a professional quotation for the insurance company - not one word was questioned, due to the complete proposal, and had the job finished within a few days after the go-ahead. Their speed was fantastic, the quality better than I had imagined, the customer care and respect was the best I have seen anywhere and the overall job was super. Alan was especially quick and Eric, the on-the-job manager, went out of his way to insure a good, complete job. The subs they used must have been carefully screened because they were high quality people. This experience exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend Morris and Moffitt!

They came to the house for a very detailed estimate. They repaired everything just as they said they would and explained what they were doing. There were no surprises and they stuck to the estimate. Our insurance company recommended Morris and Moffitt. Esiquio with Morris and Moffitt came out the same day to give us an estimate and explained the repairs and time frame that the repairs would be completed. Esiquio was professional, personable, respectful of us and our home,easy to reach when we had questions, and came to our home every day while the repairs were being preformed. Our worries over this ordeal were lifted. Everything was done exactly as promised. Our basement looks great. Morris and Moffitt went above and beyond. I would highly them to anyone. As seamless as possible given the upheaval of moving out of the house for 10 days. Morris and Moffitt was very responsive, responsible for every detail and made the ordeal a positive experience, which I didn't think would be possible. They were there every day checking on the status of the work and kept us apprised each day of what was going on in the house. They did a superb job.

They gave a very detailed estimate, although they spelled my name wrong. They were very professional, friendly, punctual, timely, and thorough. Their bid was just outside of our budget but not really bad. A good experience.
