I am glad that we found Morris & Moffitt on Angieslist. But in particular our GC - David Z From the outset David was a great partner to work with on this significant renovation for us. It was a challenging project based on several other bids and required major structural work. But David really tried to layout the options for us by doing a great job of listening to our needs and expectations. He lined up all the necessary permits, schedules and tasks for us. Each day, got timely communications - text/email/voicemail from him on what to expect. We developed a good pattern on making sure that we check-in with his or his crew. Each member of his crew and the subs were very great; polite and professional. There were a few setbacks on a few items, but given the timely communications he continued to provide good alternatives. We were nervous given all the other bids and scenarios that have been shared with us or we have read about. But if all reno. projects go like this then I am going to be thrilled to have him on our side.

Alan's team was awesome. Alan is organized, detailed, talented and customer facing-very hard to find all of those traits in one. His crew is so conscientious that they use a metal detector to search for any missing or loose nails from a project. I could count on Alan every step of the way and as a bonus he is really fun to work with! He is meticulous about his work and it shows.

They did well in the difficult task of restoring an old house that had been moved.

The Morris and Moffitt team performed a major repair to the front facade of our eight year old home, due to water leakage from poor construction/flashing techniques by the original (out-of-business) builder. We received a very professional estimate from Alan Moffitt, who provided great communication throughout the entire project. He also worked closely with the insurance claims adjuster to help maximize our benefits. This even included the two of them examining the crawlspace under the problem area for deep hidden damage. Fortunately, they both used the same estimating software, which expedited the process. The front focal point wall of the house (2x6 framing - 20 feet tall), sheathing, insulation, and drywall had all suffered rot and mold damage, and had to be completely rebuilt with new materials. The exterior wall was originally covered with stone veneer, which had to be removed as part of the demolition work, due to underlying damage. Additionally, several feet of hardwood flooring, sub-floor, floor and rim joists were also damaged, requiring repair and/or replacement. We also had them refinish all hardwood floors on the ground floor at the same time, in order to match the newly repaired areas. All of this work was performed by Moffitt's team of high quality sub-contractors, which each seemed to do a very good job at their individual specialties. Additionally, he followed up regularly to ensure that the work was being performed as expected. Unfortunately, there was a three week delay in the middle of the project while waiting for special ordered materials. We elected to not replace the cultured stone on the house, and instead ordered vinyl siding shakes to match some that were already used on the home's exterior. This was largely out of the control of Morris & Moffitt, as there were gaps in communication from the siding vendor, as well as lead time to get the materials shipped. The good news: The house was at the point of being sealed, insulated and water tight against the winter weather. Once the final supplies were received, the job was completed beautifully, and the newly finished areas matched the eight year old materials almost perfectly. There were a couple of minor cosmetic finish items that were repaired by Alan during the walk-through. The project was completed successfully, on-budget, to our satisfaction, and we definitely have recommended the Morris and Moffitt crew to other friends and family needing major renovation work. We love our new kitchen & addition! This is the hardest project type to live through, period! David and his crew did a great job keeping the house as clean as possible during demo and construction. Communication is key and David kept us informed all the way through. He also stuck to his original estimate! He was the only contractor that we interviewed who gave us an itemized cost break down up front, no surprises. The only cost overruns came from us and our changes during construction. We've recommended David to our friends without hesitation and will continue to use Morris & Moffit Inc for our future projects. Thank you!

We couldn't be more pleased with the fantastic job Morris & Moffitt (and their subcontractors) did completing our renovation. We contacted them for an estimate in June and decided to move ahead with the renovation in July. Work started at the beginning of August and most of the major elements of the renovation were completed within the 6 week estimate. We were under a tight schedule for the room to be completed (we were expecting a baby at the beginning of September) and David did an excellent job adjusting his timeline to meet our needs. All the subcontractors they used were so polite and efficient. Any slight problems that were encountered were quickly addressed and fixed by David and his team of professionals immediately. We look forward to using Morris & Moffitt again for future home renovations.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Allen Moffit and his crew. The professionalism and follow up was incredible. You get a sense from Allen that no matter how big or small the job, he would treat you with the same curtesy and respect. With any new sub-contractor that came to do a job, Allen was there to introduce him. The craftsmen ship and quality of their work is extraordinary. In fact, my wife and I were looking for other things they could do for us while the main project was going on because we knew we had a winner. All in all it was a tremendous experience and I would recommend these guys to anyone.

As a result of a frozen pipe we needed remediation and remodeling work completed in master bathroom. We did not use Morris and Moffit (M&M) for the water remediation as we need to act quickly but in hind sight we should have. We work initially with Esiquio and David for the preliminary estimate for the remodeling and ultimately we worked with David as Project Manager through the construction phase of the job. Both gentlemen were pleasant and more than anything listened and tried to provide solutions or alternatives to the project. The provided we with great resources to help guide us through the design phase of the project and once the work began they managed everything seamlessly. David keep in touch and informed about each step of the project and always was quick to respond to voicemail or texts with questions or possible changes. With the various phases and waiting custom built items the process took 6-8 weeks right in line their predictions. Good Job

We hired Morris & Moffitt to do some work on a newly purchased house before our move-in. We needed a company that could do a variety of things to the interior of the house, from refinishing floors and painting to installing a master closet with a pocket door and can lighting, in a relatively short amount of time (about three weeks). From the start, Morris & Moffitt were a pleasure to work with. They were able to start almost immediately, and they finished ahead of schedule. David, our contractor, maintained contact with us throughout the project and responded to all emails and call promptly. His crew did excellent work. We could not be happier with our choice, and we would definitely use them again.

Moffitt scheduled a contractor to come in and repair the ceiling. The contractor repaired the ceiling so well I could not tell there had ever been a problem. The drywall repair was so good that, even when I inspected his work by putting a glare or flashlight on the repaired area, I could not see any uneven patchwork. And the paint matched perfectly. The contractor covered everything in the kitchen and sealed the kitchen doors to keep dust from getting into ventilation and other parts of the house. The cleanup was equally good. I couldn't tell anyone had been doing drywall work.

Morris and Moffett did a great job with removing the "antique microwave" and installing a new microwave to meet building codes. The install was complicated because it required the removal of an existing shelf from the cabinet, cutting the cabinet doors to fit the new size of the cabinet, and painting the wall and cabinet. When I plan my next renovation, I shall call Morris & Moffett because of the quality work they do.

Our first contact with Morris and Moffitt was several months before scheduling the renovation of our home. We needed the opening to the attic from the garage ceiling moved and new pull down stairs installed. We had such a good experience with that project, we thought of Morris and Moffitt immediately when we decided to renovate our home. Throughout the project we worked closely with David Zelch. From day one, we were treated with absolute professionalism, courtesy and respect. David Zelch and/or Alan Moffitt were in constant communication with us. Any and every question was addressed within hours. If the question could not be answered that day, we were always told if more time was needed to gather information. They kept us informed of days off and vacation. We always knew who was on call.The estimates for the project were delivered quickly. The project began on time and finished on time. David was great about explaining what would happen, when and how. He was also very patient about answering our questions and concerns when we felt a bit overwhelmed by the process.We were so impressed by everyone from Morris and Moffitt who worked on our home. They were always friendly, professional and treated us and our home with respect. All vendors and subcontractors hired by the company performed to the high standards of Morris and Moffitt.We believe we received fair pricing. We were most satisfied with the quality of the service. This company wants all their customer 100% happy with the end result. Morris and Moffitt is very serious about their reputation and emphasize customer service. The lowest price was notthe determining factor as much as trusting Morris and Moffitt would deliver quality work at a fair price.We would not hesitate to use Morris and Moffitt again. Morris & Moffitt are the best contractors I've ever worked with...superb...extremely professional courteous and knowledgeable. David arrived promptly and put me immediately at ease. I was nervous about damaged walls and concerned they could not be repaired properly....was I wrong! David explained what would be done..answered all questions thoroughly and was always instantly reachable as work progresses. The other David and Erica did the work and what workers they are...David is a perfectionist with regard to his work...and a mastercraftsman....my home looks beautiful...couldn't ask for more. Erica is David's assistant and they work as a well orchestrated team...can't recommend this firm highly enough....seems like they can do everything and with the best people...you cannot go wrong

With only one exception, the workers arrived on time in the morning and did a full day's work with no slacking off. The work done was of very good quality. There was a project manager assigned, and I found I had to call him each morning to ask the status and what the plan was over the next few days. As long as I did, he kept the project flowing. That was a small price to pay for very good service through dry out, demolition, reconstruction and even a cleaning person after all the work was finished.

Provided quality work at a great price. Very detailed and cleaned up afterward and treated my home like it was theirs. Ive never been able to access my attic till now, and it was fascinating. They also pointed out issues with bees nests that I never knew were there. The communication was also awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

We received three different quotes and decided to work with Morris and Moffitt. Their bid was not the highest or the lowest but we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. We worked directly with Jake Fleming as the general contractor. He was very professional and personable. We explained the work we wanted done for this conversion. It required relocating plumbing, electrical, converting former french doors into a solid wall and cutting a new doorway in a different wall. There were dry-wallers, plumbers, electricians, and framers working on this effort. Jake stopped by to speak with each sub as they showed up at their designated day/time for their part in this project. He made sure they were completing the work as we requested. The subs were all professional and nice people to work with, and always cleaned up after their work was done. Jake was on time for our appointments and called if he was going to be 5 minutes late (which was only once). We did not have them paint or do flooring but only because we will finish that work on our own. There is more work that we want completed in another area of the house and we will be contacting Jake when we are ready to move forward. I would definitely recommend Morris and Moffitt and look forward to working with them and Jake again in the future.

They will be moving our home for us, and so far our dealings with them have been very good.

Overall experience was great. Alan was very flexible with our change in direction through the project and contributed some great ideas that helped lower costs and improved the final look of our remodel. Alan handled any issues that came up during the project in a very professional manner and was able to stay on schedule. Will use him again for future projects.

Alan was great! He met with us multiple times during our GC search to go over every step of the process and numbers with us. During the project he was on hand almost everyday, even just to check in. Alan was always reachable by text, email or phone. He acted in a very professional and friendly manner and answered everyone of our questions right away. His team of contractors were reliable, on schedule, hard working, and also professional and friendly. There was never a language barrier and the site was cleaned up as needed each evening. As the project went on, changed were able to be made to the original quote as needed. Alan was honest and open to ideas and changes. We highly recommend him for all projects big and small.

Alan was great to work with. He was very responsive to my needs, easy to get ahold of if needed, prompt and on time with all of the sub-contractors used. all work was completed exactly when he said it would be.

Alan is very easy to work with and when issues arose, he addressed them quickly and calmly with no argument.

They did good work. They fixed everything and did a good job. They're very good and everything was excellent.

We worked specifically with Alan Moffitt as our General Contractor overseeing and managing the project. From the start Alan was very engaged and responsive and he stayed consistently involved throughout the length of the project. Alan did a great job with coordinating all the different subs and the crews he brought in all did very quality work from the framers, stone and mason guys, painters, etc. Very nice crews and people. We have had so many compliments on our new porch and the detail of the work is amazing. Best of all there were not any surprises or gotchas during the project. The price came in as expected. I would recommend working with Alan and Morris and Moffitt for any of your home projects.
