I think the price was a little lower because the permit was not there and the extra time was not added. He was very professional and he knew his stuff. He gave me the most detailed estimate that I got. I like the detailed professional way he attacked the project in terms of what I wanted to have done and where it was going to be done. He had measured the block of measuring and so forth. He also sent me an estimate which was very detailed right down to the cost of the trails and labor. They were on time. When they said they were going to be here they were here at that time. The one thing that they didn't do was check if this particular project needed to be permitted. I seen a show on TV and it also suggested that whatever I do it needs to be permitted. When I got the estimate from him I asked him about the permit and he said it would be under $5000 and we don't need a permit. That was the red flag for me. I would consider them if I have a project. I would ask them to do an estimate because I like the way they put things out. I gave him feedback as to why I was not using him and he was very appreciative of that and understood.

Overall, the estimation process was great. We really liked them alot. He arrived on time for the estimate and he was very responsive. For example, I wanted to look at some roofing shingles and he brought out a sample the very next day and left it on the door for me. They really listened to what we needed and brought back a fantastic proposal. I had called their references and they couldn't say enough good things about this company. It just came down to the price, but I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.

The painting part was not great. The guy they had doing painting for them did not do a good job and I had to have that repainted. They made everything right though. If it was not right, they would correct it. Time-wise, they need to get a little better. I have been out of my house for two and a half weeks. That was the only downfall. He took off some money to correct that though. He didn't have enough help. I think he has hired someone else since beginning my job, but he didn't have enough men to get the job done quickly. There were a couple days that he took the guys to another job and did nothing at my house. However, I would recommend him. Money-wise, he gave me a good price. I think he'll be more timely now.

Good job. Water damage to a wood subfloor. Morris and Moffitt followed the applicable standard: IICRC S500. Mapped areas, took measurements and dried to an acceptable goal. They also performed repairs to the floor and wall. Reasonable price. Even my insurance adjuster called their estimate "reasonable and appropriate."

Morris and Moffitt was quick to answer any and all questions and concerns my wife and I had. They were very knowledgeble, friendly and well prepared to handle the insurmountable task that lay before them. Both Alan and David had a great knack for guiding us through a design, selections of in style colors and hardware for our new bath. We are very pleased with the fact that they made extra efforts to walk us through the remodel from start to finsh. They were personally involved with the entire project. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed with Morris and Moffit. We will be refering them to our friends and family for life.

They have painted, repaired flooring, walls, etc. Basically an overhaul of my home. The work has been seamless and they are incredible responsive. For example, they were able to get the estimate to me within 3 days! The owner is on the site each day, which I appreciate. If they are not able to come for any reason, they let me know. Also, they offered to back to repair any work I'm not completely satisfied. This company has gone way above and beyond. I really feel I'm getting more than my money's worth. This has been a wonderful experience! I plan to have them out this Summer to remodel my kitchen.
